Klockheed Martian special parts has 1.25m and 2.5m inflatable heat shields, and they work with Deadly Re-entry. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/84224 Unfortunately the inflatable part is meant to be used for buoyancy after splashdown, so if you set it to auto-inflate, it will only inflate just before splashdown. But it still works fine with DR, you just need to manually inflate it before re-entry.

I was going to recommend crew manifest, but the Version 0.5.5.0 update says they removed permadeath because it was added to the game... http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/60936 i think you need to edit a file somewhere to turn on permadeath but i'm not sure how. i remember max saying that the upcoming 0.25 update will include some ingame difficulty options like no reverting missions, and i'm pretty sure he mentioned permadeath. It was in the devnotes somewhere but i can't find it... -

A hostile creature mod for a random alien planet?

i'd prefer creatures that could replace kerbals. The russians and americans sent dogs and chimpanzees into space before they sent humans, i'd like do be able to do the same. They could be a nice bridge between probes and manned missions.... -

the original furnace is far uglier than the recycle bin, i think that should be given priority if Baha is still working on EL parts... -
@woogoose any chance of the old RT1 tracking dishes being re-added? they made the mod so much more immersive

i would recommend changing the name of the LLL - Libra Landing Logistics parts. LLL is already synonymous with Lack Luster Labs.

[WIP] Escepadie (Systems) Modular Station [EMS] mod

an artificial gravity ring for a space station. The diameter of the ring will be huge, so the diameter of the 5 degree bend shouldn't matter, if anything the large size will help in the construction. At the moment the only way i can build one is with part clipping, which is not very accurate or stable. -
