@Columbia I took what Azimech said as good criticism more than bashing, I think if the craft was shorten just a little it would be a perfect replica! we know you are not calling it complete until you post it with the shared file. Also his comment seemed more as a motivation too. -

I really like the concept you have here with the wheel house and living quarters on the stern and the launch deck coming off the bow. -

This is all stock, wait! all I do is stock builds! This is a Mini Personnel Carrier with digital screen front view, it has two pilots and capable of transporting 4 crew members. I have been tweaking it's control, mainly when in flight. I may need to add more forward thrust but it's flying fairly well. "Island Express Mini Personnel Carrier" -

I have 3 craft that are in the hopes of being an SSTO to my standards. I was once told an Orbit of 74 m/s is a good rule of thumb for being considered an SSTO, but what about returning to Kerbin's Surface? Or at the least refueling then return for a successful landing? Well I think this should be required before putting the title SSTO on a craft. I have Star Hunter that is going into Orbit but not making a reentry, but if I refuel it in Orbit and return for a successful landing then I believe I will have an SSTO. Also I started on a smaller craft named Flash and this craft is getting into Orbit but still in testing. My third craft is "Hurricane" and it's my first possible SSTO that has reached Minmus, an exciting milestone for me. Anyway I am still learning and having lots of fun with SSTO's. "Island Express Ferry Project - Behind the Scenes" Just throwing this one out there, during my Island Express Ferry Project I found myself with one unplanned moment arising after the next. It was taking a long time to launch one rover at a time so I made a rover cart to haul 6 rovers at a time and I left the capsules off because of the time it takes to load Kerbals. Well in the end I created a Tram to transport Kerbals then another to rescue them from sliding into the water. Now I can do away with the loading ramp and use just the Rover Cart to load the Rovers at the Ferry, this is working well, for the most part. Here is a little action of things behind the scenes when they don't go well. I was planning to load 3 Rovers per side and noticed I went on the wrong side. With very hard to control Rovers here's how that went. Hey we live and we learn! -
Clouds in stock KSP

When I first started playing KSP I wanted to see thunderstorms in the distance and maybe a passing comet in the sky. Water effects and a flag flying is really nice but I am with you I would like to see some more action in the game. Even a tumble weed would be really cool to see once in a while. -
Sector 7 Space Laboratories Aeronautics Division - Rocket Man Flying this guy flies a little backwards making it even more challenging, use low speeds for better control, flight time is short if all engines are engaged. Use only the feet or the hands for extended flight time. The Jet Pack is more visual than operational, if you change the engines you might get better use of it. If you like challenges try to land this guy anywhere, I haven't and may never land him but it seems possible. I almost got him in an Orbit, once I did a straight shot to about 280m. With a few tweaks he could go into an Orbit. He's a little part time fun. Rocket Boy is similar and at high speeds he likes to kick his legs. "Rocket Man" "Rocket Boy" Flight Operations: Engage SAS, throttle to desired speeds of travel, quarter throttle will give a good start for slow speeds, then press spacebar Landing Operations: Yeah Good Look with that! Cold War Blackbird is the best Kerbal Short Film on the forums! Really cool craft designs, excellent soundtrack, filming was like James Cameron and Steven Spielberg! I would call this a short movie. I will be watching this one over and over. I really can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this and I can't even imagine the hours of work you spent on this one. Two Thumbs ups and Hats off on this film. A very impressive Kerbal Film!- 47 replies

"Island Express Ferry - Update 3" During Sea Trials I had to save my work while underway to the Island and when I returned to my saved game the Ferry with 4 Rovers exploded! So we started all over again and launched the Ferry, docked it to the beach, launched the loading ramp and aligned it with the Ferry. On the previous attempts to load the Ferry it was taking lots of time sending one rover at a time so I built 6 rovers at a time on this cart and rather than attaching capsules to load Kerbals I decided to build a Tram. Now I have a 4 Part Ferry Set because things don't always work the way you would think in Kerbal Land. Speaking of which the Rover cart had it's under power struggles as did the Loading Ramp did also and that's why I am now loading Kerbals on the water in hopes that I will be able to drive each one off the rear of the cart and on to the Ferry! so we hope! I will continue my mission and give another update later. -

One more wip then I'll try not to spam this thread so much , here is an SSTO in the works "Hurricane" this craft is drinking fuel like crazy, but getting into Orbit with fuel to spare. I was struggling with it's control while in Orbit and I haven't tried a reentry yet. I'll continue with the tweaks and testing giving an update later. "Hurricane" -

I have previously been working on an SSTO named Space Hunter, the craft is not handling well when lite on fuel so reentry is not good, I might release it but not claim it to be an SSTO. Another SSTO I just started on named Hurricane is looking really good on the fuel when getting into Orbit, a Minmus landing is looking doable. Another little idea I am playing with, "Rocket Man" a little silly looking craft that maybe should have been named Rocket Boy? he is not handling well but fun and challenging to fly around. I won't be tweaking him much and I might even add landing gear for those who would like that challenge. I almost got him in an Orbit, once I did a straight shot to about 280m. With a few tweaks he could go into an Orbit. I plan to release him soon. "Rocket Man" -

Welcome to the forum @Adelaar Just an fyi, not just for you but others also, as a heads up on the new wheels in 1.1. Traction Control has been added and they are adjustable, also Tensile Strength has been added to the Wheels. You may are may not have tried adjusting them but as I said this is just a heads up for those who didn't notice, -
Sector 7 Space Laboratories - VTOL Division - Aurora 2000 Stuck on small craft designs again, this is my Aurora 2000 a VTOL / Watercaft it's a dual seat craft and it runs lite on fuel. I guess if I would have worked with it long enough I could have packed more Juno Engines under it to liftoff with full tanks but decided to go with the lighter version. I should have named it with some kind of insect name because it looks like a bug. During testing I found the water is much nicer in 1.1 and underwater is looking much better also. Aurora 2000 Flight Operations: Engage RCS and SAS, throttle up to full then press spacebar, if you would like to jump up quickly use the K Key, this is the downward thrust which is also used for landings. Hold the K Key until you gain some height then press spacebar a second time to engage the rear engines. The lift engines are on action group 1 and the forward thrust engines are on 2. In it's early stages, I plan to tweak the design and add some interior. The lighting needs to be adjusted and the bow will be improved for a better looking profile. I am using eight Whiplash engines for its forward and reverse but yet still forward propulsion and also two on each side for steering but these might be removed for a better look. Island Express Ferry Update 1 I added a center wall to support the upper deck, I've seen Ferry's with this before. I also improved the profile a little and the lighting. I made a neat discovery during these tweaks, I am using the adjustable intakes to hide support struts giving it a clean look, I will probably add them to the complete length of the center wall to look like a floor molding to add a little better look. Update 2 After adding Stairways, Guardrails, Bench Seats on the upper deck and Pilot Seats etc... we went on sea trials again and docked against the beach to begin loading rovers to head for the Old Airbase Island. Immediately after reaching the beach I noticed the hull was reaching bottom before the ramp was close enough for vehicles to board. I then began to fabricate a boarding ramp, always easier said than done and as you know this is not the first setup that was designed. After a few trips to the Ferry and failed ideas I now have a Loading Ramp that's working great. I then built some small rovers for our sea trials. I would like to have seen a full load of rovers for our trials but it was becoming very time consuming loading the rovers. All the night photos were done because that was how this project started so I took advantage of the situation and used the night for testing the lighting and just continued with the project in the night hours. I started heading for the Island today with four rovers and all is well. Warp x1 is ok but anything beyond that will make the rovers begin to drift off the stern. -
