Yes sir I agree! -
So long Mr. Ted and thanks so much for all your hard work in such an amazing game, I have been enjoying it from the day I uploaded it and plan to for years to come, Kerbal Space Program and the Forums have become a place where I can be creative for dirt cheap and enjoy having fun with others like me. Also I think when NASA met Squad it's not just a game anymore it's high tech fun! Thanks again and I do look forward to seeing your next endeavors.

The Omega 7 Project Recently @KerbalKyle45kk posted Share your Most Colossal Ship/Plane! and this reminded me of a huge refueling station I built in an earlier version of KSP named Omega 7. At the time I was still learning the limits of the game and new to the forums (With flying of the handle postings because I was so excited about this new program) and found that lag was terrible with such a large build so after I got my station in orbit I canned the project. Well these days we have better muscle 1.1.3 and I was able to Orbit and begin refueling the station. The craft I chose for refueling is one that I thought was released on the forums but I can't find it, anyway it's Space Tech, the craft was at first designed to deliver 9 satellites and return to Kerbin's Space Center, now it's a supplier for whatever you can latch on to it's lower end, I've made a small lab put it in Kerbin's Orbit, used it to refuel a station in the Mun's Orbit and now to refuel Omega 7 currently in Orbit at Kerbin. As for now I am not sure what my final goal will be other than dock a few craft to it and refuel a ship to make some extended journey to another planet. Below are pictures of my current progress. This is a link to the original Thread Omega 7 Space Tech Here are some previous Space Tech Missions The craft has been going through some changes in design and I plan to release it with the Omega 7 when complete. Special Notice: During this project Omega 7 had a near miss with an Asteroid, had to share this it must be a rare sight -

Lowest Stable Orbit for Large Space Station
Castille7 replied to Castille7's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
A huge thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge on this subject, I now have my station in LKO. After I correct it's Orbit to something more satisfying I will see if refueling won't be too time consuming due to lag and if not I will post it on the spacecraft exchange at a later date. Again thank you all for the help! The lag was not bad when I arrived with another craft to refuel, if you would like to follow this project I will have it on the Spacecraft Exchange Forum - WIP Thread. I will provide a link at a later date when I begin the Thread. -
Lowest Stable Orbit for Large Space Station
Castille7 replied to Castille7's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
This would have been a nice last minute save but I just started 1.1.3 and the skies are clear right now. I will make another attempt this weekend. This latest version has me pumped up about getting some use of an old space station that was too large for the earlier versions. Omega 7 is the station I was referring to, I'll post a few pictures of my situation last night. Omega 7 These pictures are showing my near Orbit attempt, I only had 6 Xenon Gas Engines running and losing Electric Power because I launched late in the evening. The purpose of these were to use them for positioning the craft. It was a last resort. -

Yes I agree, it is nice to have the timewarp at full speeds. -

Man I am on fumes right now and running on Gas only as we speak, my Apoapsis is great but concerned about my Periapsis right now, it's creeping near 50km and I a hoping to get it to 70 on my first pass around Kerbin. Thanks for the info and I will let you know in just a few minutes what happen. The trajectory is taking a while and I hope not to launch again if I don't have to. Thanks again and I'll report back asap. Update: 54m was the best I could do with the fuel I had left and the craft did not make Orbit. Next attempt will be posted on the Space Craft Exchange Thread. @5thHorseman Your answer is accurate according to my findings here after my craft would not hold at 54m. -
I like the idea of a wider cargo bay also, and careful with VTOL Craft they are addictive!
-
Sorry just getting around to giving a comment on this one, I love the craft design, the cargo bay is really sweet and the engine setup is too cool, very nice work @Redshift OTF
-
Thanks @Redshift OTF and yes no pushing power, but I wonder if other items might produce better pushing? I didn't test anything else.
-
Thank you @pTrevTrevs, and I will check into the Vessel Mover for future videos, I like that idea!

Sector 7 Space Laboratories - The Crawfish Queen The Steamboat has a new bearing set using the structural fuselage and some reaction wheels, I got this bearing idea from my Manlift Design. During Sea Trials the craft showed to be very sturdy, speeds are nice with jet engines but not with the paddle wheels, they look nice in action but have no pushing power. The top deck is for VIP Guess that would like to eat Boiled Crawfish. I was planning a long journey to a river for some great video shots but the craft was exploding about a mile or so off the beach, so I continued with video shots near the coast. I also have an idea for a drive system using Jet Engines and a Piston but the boat will likely have less details because of the amount of parts. I hope you enjoy the craft and video and thanks for watching. Parts: 1252 Mass: 167.759t Height: 17.5m Width: 17.0m Length: 40.3m I've gotten to speeds in the lower 40's m/s on land when traveling to the coast. I suggest to not decouple the Paddle Wheels until you are in the water. Again don't expect to get any propulsion from the Paddles, they are more for looks then for pushing the Vessel. The Engines should only be used at about quater when in the water throttle give or take a little use your own judgement to not break the Paddle Wheel. If you would like you can use the Q key for more Paddle Action after they are decoupled. I have 1 & 2 Action Keys set for steering. Also I wish those Parachutes would light up!....lol Craft File The Crawfish Queen

Share your Most Colossal Ship/Plane!

Refueling Station, the lower end was part of the launcher and was going to be used for fuel only to travel to Duna or Jool if it were possible but I was getting too much lag when I arrived with another craft to refuel it. -

"Omega 7" This is probably the largest thing I've put into Orbit, I had so much lag I left it alone and called it done. -

The Steamboat Project "Crawfish Queen" is near completion. The craft is very sturdy, speeds are nice with jet engines but not with the paddle wheels, they look nice in action but have no pushing power. Planning to release it after some video footage but right now it's exploding with the jet engines running to a location where I wanted to do my video shots. Here is a sneak peak of what it's looking like and I will reveal it with details when its complete. -

During my remake of the Steamboat I tested a new bearing set using the structural fuselage and some reaction wheels. Sea Trials are getting 0.2 m/s wow! we are getting somewhere quick! Well it's all in the looks and design right now, next I will add a piston and engine drive system for two options of the craft when completed. -

After hours of work on my next project "Crawfish Queen" my craft file got messed up when nearing 1,000 parts, back to square one . My norm is to make saves as I go but........ -
@Vanamonde With the Mass at 81.925t this has become a tall order, it's been more like a Ball & Chain to get it flying but has become a fun challenge at the same time. Not giving up yet but it's close.....

Thank you for the compliment on the Carrier, that was about 3 weeks of work on my short film, not sure exactly how many hours. I checked out Part 2 of your Antarctica Series and I would only have two things that I would change, when the craft was spinning out of control with the Alarm sounding it was a little lengthy, also there was a pause that followed the crash which I believe was intended but it was a little lengthy too, besides these little tweaks I think its some nice work! -
