Ok I didn't notice this before, so I'm just going to nip this in the butt right now. 1) The fact that no working links to Firespitter were provided is a problem, and indeed a needle in the haystack. I was one of many others who had this same problem. I found one eventually which was quite the adventure. Vaguely mentioning Firespitter over and over but with no link to it is useless. Also it was NOT in the last "couple pages" 2) stali79 was(IS) very helpful and this was resolved. 3) Fundamental misconception? I know all the mods are not part of the stock game. To assume otherwise is ignorant. I have been playing this since it was first released. Will there be bugs even when a mod is updated? Of course, but many mods I think just say they were updated to keep up with subscribers. As far as 1.1.3 being broken? If basic things like landing gear wont work, it is. I know they switched to a new version of Unity, and changed/updated many things in the game. Regardless, I know its not on Squad to micro manage every single thing. Again, I know its up to the modding community to maintain their own mods, and if said mods aren't working when they supposedly should be, then that's just bad business. But KSP has one of the most insanely loyal and smart communities I've ever seen, so with any problem its only a matter of time before things are fixed. Giving peevish responses to problems shows you're not actually willing to help. This is irrelevant anyway. OPT has been updated to 1.1.3 and while I'm still having some problems, I'm hoping I can get them fixed (look at this comment I made just before this one).
  2. Oh my word, log in to see what new mods are out just for fun, and could it be? OPT updated to work on 1.1.3?? Well, not quite... Ok, I'm going to detail exactly what I did. 1) Removed everything from KSP, clean as a whistle 2) Installed OPT 1.8.5 as it is on Spacedock right now 3) I see that it is bundled with a 1.1.3 compatible Firespitter 4) I tested all the parts and I still have issues with no parts having fuel. Instead of naming every single part that has no fuel options, its easier if I name the ones that do (OPT stail class fuel tank 4m, OPT avatar class fuel tank 6m, OPT avatar class space shuttle cockpit adaptor, OPT avatar to stail adaptor) so only 4 parts have fuel. No other fuel tanks, utility cargo bays, or main wings A,B,&C have fuel options as they did in previous working versions. I did not include cockpits in this, they are working fine so far. I can still provide a list of every single part that has a problem though... 5) I installed IFS from Spacedock, and the problem persisted. There were no changes. 6) Module Manager is also up to date I read through the past several pages, and the main problems I've noticed are regarding tweakscale (which doesn't work for me anyway and I don't use it), file name changes (which according to stali79 shouldn't be there. Not sure on this, I wouldn't know what to look for anyway), and missing landing gear (I don't have it either, even looking through the OPT master file. Sad panda... because OPT landing gear! But I suspect this has to do with the supposedly changed names in the files, and/or KSP now can't handle landing gear apparently now, anyway) Having looked through all the parts that do not have fuel as they should, I noticed none of them have RESOURCE instructions in the .cfg file. Again, this is with the exception of the 4 parts that do have fuel options. Would I be able to copy the Resource info from a working part into a non-working part? Its the same problem I had before a few weeks ago, which was kind of expected, but now that this has supposedly been updated it kind of frustrating. Or even, what can I do to help? Also I have some suggestions 1) These two parts: OPT Stail class inline docking & utility bay & OPT stail class inline docking port, should have RCS fuel 2) I think it would be a super cool option in OPT to have flat streamlined rcs tanks and thrusters like B9 had. It looks clunky and lame when a super sleek OPT ship has ugly pokey stock rcs parts.
  3. What kind of log do you need and how do I get it? I'm having a ridiculous amount of problems since updating to 1.1.3, even after re-downloading all mods which supposedly have been updated to 1.1.3.
  4. Hey all, I recently updated KSP to 1.1.3 (worst mistake ever) and KJR, which was in my TOP 3 must have of mods will not work. I made sure to download the latest version and have installed>removed>installed numerous times. Is there an out of date plugin inside it that I need to update too? When I was running 1.0.5 my rockets were rock hard and stiff, now even the smallest of rockets will have a bad case of wobbly sausage and rocketile dysfunction syndrome.
  5. Well if it has been repeated MANY times, I'm not going to look through 78 pages of comments to find a needle in a haystack. I feel like if its that much of an issue it needs to be in bold letters on the front page. Not trying to sound snarky though. I updated my KSP a couple days ago and its literally barely playable. Joint Reinforcement, MechJeb, plug ins like FireSpitter, even default game mechanics like SAS and other physics are just atrocious. I love the look and feel of 1.1.3 but it was not ready for release. Thanks for confirming what I suspected though I will go hunt down that FireSpitter.
  6. Hey I'm having a problem with this most favorite mod of mine. I just caved and updated KSP 1.1.3 (I didn't want to because mod compatibility is kaput). When I checked out OPT, the cockpits all work. But the fuel tanks, crew tanks, and science tanks for the J,K,L, and a couple others did not work. Not only for animations when applicable, but also to select fuel types and what not. They were just a bunch of static place holder parts. Has anyone had this problem, any fixes? EDIT: Did some reading on these pages and Firespitter could be a problem but its up to date as far as I can tell. I downloaded everything straight off SpaceDock just now to make sure I had the latest OPT.
  7. Hey sorry for being lazy (33 pages to go through is a lot for my ferret attention span) but I remember there was going to be a part for this mod that was essentially like a large rover garage. Is that still a thing or going to be?
  8. Well...poops. I'm reluctant to update because some many mods are all over the place with compatibility version. I wonder if this is what the other guy's problem was too. Well thanks for your help anyway and great mod!
  9. Hey man thanks for replying! I wasn't sure what you meant by toolbox so I just got this pic of the VAB. One thing I did notice is that the game is loading up the spaces for the internals of the rover. The .mu and .cfg parts are in separate folders inside the Malamute folder. Like I said I dont know if that matters though. I am running KSP version 1.0.5. That link you provided is also the same one I had downloaded the mod from.
  10. Ok this is a screen shot of my GameData folder. I just did it over again and still nothing shows up in game.
  11. First off: This rover is too sick. Best rover design I have seen for this game ever. Secondly: Sadness. So I keep trying to install it and nothing shows up in the parts, in SPH or VAB. One thing I noticed is that the .mu files for the parts are in "Assets", not in "Parts" folder (which contain only the .cfg files.) Could that have something to do with it? I read through this thread and saw another user had the same problem, and I followed the steps for uninstalling a few mods at a time. Got to where this rover was the only thing I had installed, so I did a completely fresh install of KSP, then loaded only this rover mod. Still nothing. Another thing to note is that when I download the mod from github, there is a 1.0, 1.1, and 1.4 version, all in the same download. Am I supposed to install them in sequence, because that doesn't sound right. EDIT: Tried to install in sequence and that did not work. Halp...
  12. Hey everyone! Quick question: how do I transfer crew between habitats/buildings? I am running KSP 1.0.4 and I right click on the crew hatches and hold alt but it doesn't work. Come to think of it, the supposedly built in crew transfer working by the same method has never worked for me, not even on stock parts. Any help would be much appreciated. Loving this mod too! I just build my first base on the Mun. Probably way bigger than it had to be, but I wanted to test everything to see how it worked (Life Support adds a whole new level). About to send my first crew of 3 Kerbals up there, hopefully they'll live long enough to I can get some good data to get ready to send an expedition to another planet. Anyway, thanks again!

I'm wondering if its not a machine-specific thing? My problem wasn't aerodynamic related but more parts not working correctly, or the world model not attaching parts correctly, causing part flapping(?) even with Kerbal Joint Reinforcement.

I've made a couple of really neat SSTO's, one of which worked great, the other may or may not need the infinite fuel cheat :p One thing I like to do now is send a rocket up at 200K with a big spare fuel tank so my craft can refuel then go to the Mun or Minmus. Still working on going to other planets...

  17. http://imgur.com/a/2LuNf Ok, here's my test shuttle. No cool lights from B9, no adjustable landing gear, I did a clean install. I am having trouble getting the pilots out of the cockpit, says there's no hatch? Oh well not a big deal yet, as I haven't figured out a big use for space planes yet apart from dropping cargo (prototype bases and habitats) from the air. Thanks for your help ya'll! I will keep working with the mod and learning this stuff.
  18. This is silly but I was using 1.7, instead of 1.8 version of OPT. I'm not much of a forum user, so I miss stuff like that lol. Hold on, going to try out the mod now... I'll try the B9 in a while but I think I found it. The version released on 25/10/2015-ish?
  19. Where at? Curse and KerbalStuff dont have it. I'm only finding the B9 Procedural Wings for 1.04. Hey if I cant use cool space planes from OPT or B9 I can always go Russian with KW. You can never have too many giant rockets
  20. What are the key bindings for this mod? The only thing I know how to do is carefully place the gear and auto align the wheels and hope for the best. I would think the keys would be in the first post
  21. I am trying this now, but when I mount the Mk2 fuel tanks to the side of the body it doesn't look right. If I mount it under the wing I have to rotate the fuel tank, which causes it to be bisected by the wing and that's obviously not good. Same thing happens if I try to mount the OPT J-61 engine with the OPT ramjet intake, only these two parts wont even try to stick to anything because they need prior mounting points. What am I missing, is there a part I need to put under the wing? Its quite frustrating because I've had this issue with this mod since it was released. And that sucks, because the only alternative is B9 which is 99% junk parts and hasn't been updated in forever. I also cant get the J-61 to even connect with the green ball to any Mk2 fuselage. Ahhhh!!! Rage and destruction!!! The parts on this mod look so awesome and are so useful but me and it are just not on the same page.
  22. Ok HUGE question for you guys: In the OP with the imgur album and in this fine little space craft, how do I mount the engines and intakes under wings or on the sides of a ship? I think I am missing parts, as the file (downloaded from Kerbal Stuff) is also missing the SPH and VAB ships that the author(?) made. As far as the engine mounting, in the fore-mentioned album, pictures 1, 4, and 6 are what I am looking for. Also inigma, your download file says it has invalid parts and KSP asks me to delete it every time I try to load it in the SPH. I want to use your ship, its so cool! I am using 1.0.4 or whatever, the newest version of KSP. EDIT: I dont even have the same adorable cockpit part as your Jumpstar Thanks for any help you guys can provide. Fly Safe!
  23. I did read that post man and still nothing. All I'm saying is, I've installed it in every way suggested that should have made it work. Let me ask you then- did you have the same problem, and if so what steps did you take to fix it? (So by your doctor quip, I am trying to examine the problem and diagnose it)
