  1. jeb_Kerman. you could PM the values to Normak for each module so he can add them to the CFGs?

    simplt the name of the part and the stuff changed would do. unfortunayl it needs to be handspliced into the DB files. they cannot be copy pasted :(

    New Small Solar panels. Small little things that unfold into decent sized panels. made from super thin Solar Film.

  2. So, I went through the Angara pack and removed all the slashes from the staging. Do I have permission to post an attachment? Going to start work on the space station parts, but that\'ll take longer because of all the decouplers...

    EDIT: Wow. I looked through the space station parts, and didn\'t find a single decoupler to fix ^.^ If anyone\'s interested, and if I get permission, I\'ll put up the edited Angara pack.

    huh so removing the slashes is all you are doing or are you putting them in certain files?

    it would probably be best if you Pmed Normak and told him how you fixed it and tell him i said to do it :D but i suppose if people want to ask you for your upodated CFGs you are welcome too do it for now,.

  3. Sounds you have plans to keep you busy until your next birthday :)

    reducing poly counts of mir module would not take very long. currently they are 20 sided cylinders. i will probably drop them down to 16 or 18. but I would easily do this. I also learned a fun way to UV map pretty quickly but still retain its niceness.

    as for specular images those are easily made but should be made even quicker.

    I think I need to make some spacial decouplers for the engines and an RCS tank for the KVTK that looks similar. Spacial engines will not have shrouds (aside form the RD-4140 which is huge and deserves a seprate launch lol.

  4. Ooh! I think I found the issue! This is taken from one of Kosmos\'s decouplers:

    //stageOffset = 1

    //childStageOffset = 1

    See the two dashes? I\'m pretty sure that makes the config ignore the text after it.

    play around them them. I don;t have time. you remove the dashes and make them 1 or -1 or 0 and it will do different things. but as i stated I don\'t have time. If you solve the problem i will gladly apply a fix for the next release.

  5. Probably sounding like an idiot when I say this, but is it on purpose that the automated stage creation doesn\'t work on these parts? Like, for example, with normal parts you put on a decoupler and it adds a new stage for it and then another below that for what you put below that decoupler, while these parts all get grouped into one stage. It\'s not gamebreaking or anything, but having to manually put in all the staging gets annoying on bigger spacecraft.

    does anyone know of a solution for this? I too hate this :(

    TL;DR = redoing things that you will see more such as orbital modules and SSPP and leaving angara stuff for 0.15 updating for last as you only look at it for a few minutes during launch.

    I want to fix the RD-0146 texture today. add some specular to it.

    Then i will start getting speculars on the LK and KVTK units and get this released for angara package add on.

    Then I will probably go back and redo solar panel UV mapping to make them fit the new standards. AKA one sided and give them better textures as well as speculars and such.

    after that I will probably get to a SSPP redo with normal maps and such. for SSPP I am looking for something along the lines of a new texture and or look? does anyone have a preferense of better textures and colors?

  6. nah that is the rd-0146 now. the nozzle extension doesn\'t work right now anyway so it hardly matters. as for the RCS. those are the Angara RCS thrusters. (space ones the others are launch RCS)

    The larger RD is a result of the landing engines power. it still uses the same fuel and such. it is just bigger. I might scale it down alittle again in the future after the nozzle extension works again.

    I followed the node hotfix instructions, but even then I\'m only able to attach things on the top and bottom.

    then submit a bug in the bug forums. They don\'t like when I do it. I am aware they are quite broken.
  7. So is there any chance that the next version could come with PowerTech-compatible solar panels? Most of yours already rotate, but they rotate using their own wizardry which is incompatible. Why not just forgo your own panel-controlling plugin and use PowerTech\'s?

    they are supposed to do tat but not with powertech\'s plugin. some guy said he made one and i was asking aobut it and he suddenly got angry with me and ignored me. so there goes that i guess
  8. Hi All,

    Just started about a week ago and I have been building some space stations, but the node part is transparent when I attach it and then I cant add anything to it, its like its not there. Also when attached it does move to a sequence on the right hand side like other parts.

    Am I am missing something?

    That\'s a 0.15 bug, not sure what can be done to fix it...

    if you are using size way nodes and have all the axis pointing to the center of the part then hitting W once will makes my nodes work. not sure about others :/i submitted a bug report and harv said that is how it should be. I think he is mistaken as to what the bug really is...

  9. it would be tons of work to update it as it would be morre accurate and more detailed. KOSMOS is no where near complete.

    I think I fixed the fuel problem with tibs suggestion and added the smaller windows capsule I think :/ not sure.

    but an update would invole starting the capsule form scratch. If anyone wants to assist me in such things i can provide you with models and advice. but for now it will rest.
