Show me the trees. Until then, I'm not even contemplating any fruit existing. The results are really interesting. Is it a nice view, or a cloudy smog of an ocean? Some of the images from below the ice shelves are amazing. Would be great to see what it is like on Ganymede. Though to be honest, I'm not sure if they have ruled out other possibilities yet, such as other substances or minerals causing such effects.

Fix fuel flow mid flight?
Technical Ben replied to Technical Ben's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thankyou. I was using VAB based mods, which could not help the flight in progress. As 0.90 has added so many bugs and breaks to old versions, and it's own setup... I'll have to bite the bullet and rebuild the entire fleets/ships/saves. But for now this mod will let me land that one last craft before the save is finished with. [edit] Seems it's only 0.25 compatible. -
Is there a mod to help fix fuel flow mid flight in 0.90? I've only found 0.25 mods so far. The craft I have is from an updated save, and it seems the latest save version moves fuel lines and struts, so things a off now from what they were.

Personally I'm waiting for a discount or similar. As an SP game where I can spend my own time, I might have got it. As it's Online only, I'm only paying to "rent" it, so only aiming for that price. If it was fully featured (just a few more features missing from it so far), I'd again go for it right away. For now I'm waiting it out as I am Star Citizen.

[1.0.5] PWB Fuel Balancer v0.1.2 (3rd November 2015)
Technical Ben replied to codepoet's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thanks. I'm probably going to use this to fix (in a non-cheaty way) some fuel flow problems that arrived from migrating saves from 0.25 to 0.90 (fuel pipes attach in the wrong place ). -
Fuel density means for anything Earth sized and above with an atmosphere you'll need to hope fusion gives better results. As the rocket equation does not like SSTO. Most probably any future space flight before fusion etc, would need disposable small 2-3 stage launch craft. For Mars etc, you'll have small rockets similar to what we have today, and cheap fuel tanks to dump, with possibly recoverable stages/engines etc. Until something overcomes the fuel limit (if ever), we are stuck with payloads of 5% and lower. With most scifi making ships consist of 95% ship and 5% fuel, we are hardly going to hit the scifi designs.

I knew the distances were large, but never knew they were to such an exponential degree out that far! It varies by exactly 2 AU every year for me. In the summer it's +1 AU (up), and in the winter it's -1 AU (down)... from my perspective. [/trollscience]

Can anyone else check, if they have any flags placed in their saves when they break? I've deleted a lot of craft etc from my save, and it may just be I deleted the one bugged ship or something, but I'll try and rule it out and find out which craft it was. It may have been a flag, but I did not think the game cared if the kerbals that planted them were alive/dead/in the manifest or not?

[0.90] Working Multiple Star Systems(WITH PLANETS!)
Technical Ben replied to Duracelle's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That's not SOI or a gravity problem. It seems to be KSP forgetting which planet it's orbiting (it technically replaces Kerbin and swaps it with the "new" kerbin and solar systems, so the game gets confused and tries to place the ships in the old location of kerbin... ). -
To replay to the question in the OP, some would say "wait long enough" but I doubt that's a proven theory. Entropy cannot be reversed from within, it would have to be done outside. So when talking about "the entropy of my sandwich" I can add energy or reverse it['s entropy, but it cannot do so it's self. If we expanse "sandwich" to the "universe", we have nothing left inside to add energy to the system. Then it depends on our definition of "universe" as to what could or could not exist "outside" it to reverse entropy.
-
Would it not be more accurate to say "to all recent measurements the universe does not have a centre". Or perhaps more specifically, as in the earth has no "centre" to stand on it's surface (taking into account 2d space along the surface of a 3d spheroid), the universe has no "centre" to sit in. However, while the earth has a centre at it's core (taking into account 3d space), the universe does not have a centre (taking into account 4d space?) as far as we can see so far from measurements.

Yep. I totally forgot to empty it (as fuel tends to give better DV budget on really tight designs), which I could do in docking, but would take up more time. I really hope I can rescue the save. KSP 0.25/0.90 just kills all the kerbals then crashes on save/load.

A quick read and they mean galaxies with lots of explosions, but this of cause is shortened to the phrase/common name "exploding galaxies". PS, by "lots" we mean like, more than one. It's an amazing fact that we live in a universe with not too many and not too few supernovas (do the math for why that's important ).

Easier to replace the sun... no? Turn it into a binary system, then... oh, that might make it worse!

Thanks! It was painful to land on Eve too. I've had countless failed attempts with different designs before. Oh, and it never had the thrust. I retried the landing and refilling. Even with full tanks it never made over 6km. I'd planned to give it something like 2.0 TWR when on Kerbin, with 8-9kDV and launch from the 6km mountain, but land near sea level to allow the atmosphere to assist in landing. Some how, on Kerbin I just totally messed up the TWR in planning. Adding the battery under the stage, really close to the ground, and just not having enough wheels made it near impossible to drive it. I was never getting up the mountain. I certainly needed a new plan!

Thanks JebNeedsHelp. Having a "reset" option is really helpful for being stuck in a dream or a nightmare. Options include (but are not limited to), flying (as mentioned above), waking through walls (do not attempt in real life!), flying out windows (again, not advisable in real life!), time travel (good luck attempting that in real life!) or turning into Ironman. It tends to have to be something you can imagine and/or have experienced in real life. So if I've never flown in an aircraft, imagining the tops of houses and the distant landscapes is a bit too hard to do. Something like becoming a giant robot, or shrinking to a tiny size, or even teleportation would require imagining totally new situations while dreaming, which tends to be too diff

Sandbox (though I clicked the wrong box on the vote! ). Especially as Career just bugs out on me now with the latest save state change in 0.25/0.90. It deletes/kills kerbals and missions in error and trashes all my saves.

Developing Duna (pic heavy) - ^_^ with Part 11 ^_^
Technical Ben replied to Brotoro's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Very nice little missions and story there. Like the designs and your launch options. -
Phew... I was not crazy after all...

Just another attempt to get a Kerbal successfully to, and back from, Eve. Hope I'm not the only one who finds Eve the most annoying to try and navigate. And Plan "B"

Wait... have I been transported to 2012? I am certain this was already found? Or was it a different robot?

No one tends to talk about it, because it's both personal (as in a persons own inner thoughts) and also nonsensical (most dreams are just random memories or random neurons firing as far as I can tell). But I could write a few libraries worth of stuff on my dreams and the lucid ones (for me both a blessing and a curse, and more a coping mechanism to deal with poor sleep). [edit] PS, reading others comments, to help them understand a little, I thought I'd add to the details I've experienced. It may vary for others, just my personal experience. I also may have posted most of this before when the question was asked. Many mention waking up from shock or realisation that they are dreaming. They may realise and be able to effect things, or realise and not be able to effect things. I find this very interesting, as my experience is similar, but with one major difference. Quite a few times when I was young I would wake up instantly from a dream, but other times I would get the opposite, and be unable to wake up. I'd be "stuck" in what could only be a dream, as the situation was nonsensical or impossible. Often it was scary, but other times, as said, just strange. After being stuck in what seems like an endless loop so many nights, I just got really good at telling when I was dreaming. I guess the emotion or vividness of the dreams made them stand out. As others say they find it difficult to remember, I remember far too many dreams. Some going back decades. Which is a worry, I'd have harder times keeping real memories! No need to ever have a dream diary for me. (I even have reoccurring dreams where I'll remember what I did the previous [dream] day... in the dream!) As far as I can tell, I slept well when younger, but not so good as I grew up. So to help cope with the constant dreams, I decided to try and do something when in them. I was already trying most of the time anyway as a natural response to the situations. Eventually it became so common, I decided to have some fun, and set things to do on occasion in a dream. I don't have lucid dreams every night, or even dreams. Plus I cannot really control much in the dream very often, as it needs so much concentration (which you do not get when asleep!)... but when I do, it can be really interesting. Part of the trigger for dreams, or part of the sleep rhythm I get stuck in is when I can feel, see, taste etc while asleep and dreaming. Which can be extremely confusing. So if I dream "my hand is on fire" I know not to panic, I've just leant on my hand and have pins and needles. I need to wait out the dream, or hope I wake up and move my arm to a better position. I suppose it's similar to dreaming your thirsty, because in real life you are! As a bit of a warning, mainly for me, it's a coping mechanism as I just want to get away from "nightmares" (scary not because I'm scared, but because it's a dream and I'm stuck in it) and partly because my body/brain seems stuck most nights. I do say this with a really really heavy dose of a warning to anyone wanting to lucid dream, perhaps they are better off not dreaming! But with that warning out of the way, it is cool to imagine a situation, say from a film, and it happen in the dream with a good realm of reality. It is perhaps like if you were wearing VR goggle sets. Not quite 100% "Real" but convincing enough. Times like eating all the cakes in a cake shop or calling down my personal flying car from it's orbital delivery station, are a couple of my favourite dreams. LOL!!! I've often wondered if that was the trigger with me. Out of sync sleep paralysis (happening but at the wrong time in my sleep) or similar. Glad to hear it was infrequent for you.

That's not how a control group works. But I think you mean "where is our default understanding that cellphones are safe". Or more precisely, your asking me "why do you think cellphones are safe"? Is that correct? Well, I believe cell phones are safe, because I know magnets and radiation, microwaves and radio waves, heat and warmth are safe in moderation. I know they are dangerous in high doses, in fires, cookers, wielders and other devices. I know that ionizing radiation is easy to detect, quick to cause harm, and has many people ready to point fingers if a device gives it off. Mobile phones do not. I know that microwaves are dangerous in high doses/power uses, such as my microwave oven. If used incorrectly it could kill me. But... I know that radio waves (including microwaves) are safe in low doses/power uses. Such as the sun, the air and my tv and my mobile phone. Hope that helps.
