  1. So having to plan missions properly, making sure you have the right crew, that ruins the fun for you? Do you also get upset when you don't have the budget for the rocket you want, or enough science for the next node? Not to be mean, but this used to be a game about challenge. When I first started playing, there were these amazing stories about landing on the Mun; about crazy missions gone awry. That's why I started playing. To be challenged. To feel like I accomplished something with every single mission. Now people complain if they have to plan in the slightest? What is happening to this game...
  2. Just a tail loading ramp would be awesome. Something like what's in Nertea's MarkIV system.
  3. KSP needs to be about player choice, even in career mode. All we can do is keep harping about the tech tree and hope someone listens. Alternate Tree Configurator worked pretty well in 0.25. I hate to rely on a mod for something that should be done in stock, but if worse comes to worse...
  4. Squad's tech tree is still pretty bad in 0.90. Finger's crossed this get updated.
  5. I usually completely forget it's there. Anyway, aren't unforeseen "challenges" half the fun of this game?
  6. Because he's the pilot? As in, he pilots the vehicle? Seems like a pretty necessary role to me.
  7. It pains me knowing that I'll need to rely on mods to play the space flight simulator I thought I was buying. I'm fine with a low budget space facility, but that's not what the barn tier felt like. It felt like a joke about those wacky Kerbals. Don't get me wrong. The Kerbals add a lighthearted air to the game that I quite like, but at it's core, this should be a game about exploring the solar system with physics that reflect (if not duplicate) reality.
  8. I agree. I was expecting to feel limited and confined within the first few VABs. Instead, the part limit feels very arbitrary.

  10. Thanks Ippo! In 0.25 I played with a self-imposed yearly budget. I'll give this a shot and see how I like it.
  11. I hear ya. I've been wanting to get back into coding for months now and real life keeps interrupting. It's been about 5 years since I actually coded anything.
  12. If design and layout is the issue, I could very much help with that. If it's the coding, as I said, I am very much out of practice.
  13. Seriously though. Simulation of some form should be built into the stock game. I don't necessarily need the physics to be any different. Just a way to play iron man mode without self imposing whether a flight is a simulation or the real thing.
  14. The visuals should be 3D wireframe on a monochrome screen. Only kind of joking.

  18. I like that rover design quite a bit, drewscriver. Might have to try that out.
  19. What about an alpha without the points? ...or would their integration need to be hard coded from the beginning? Looking at your code reminded me how out of practice I am. Whatever you decide, I appreciate the work your putting in. Without modders, this game would be nearly as enjoyable.
  20. I think the post above displays why I think you're wrong. I also use RemoteTech. So there's that.
