  1. Yep. Not sure what their reasoning could be for this. Converse memory? I'm reticent to say it's out of laziness.
  2. Despite my love of some of the realism mods, I still think the decision to go smaller with the planets may have been a good one. Allowing us to traverse the universe, living our dreams, much easier than RSS would allow I find to be a good thing. RSS is still kind of awesome, though.
  3. In 0.25, I played in Sandbox with a self enforced periodic budget and life support. Those two additions added new timed elements to the game, and really enhanced my enjoyment. Time really started to mean something as the game years rolled past and I had to start accounting for my income and whether I could afford that supply trip to Duna, which my colony so desperately needed. Adding timed elements to science I find intriguing, as well.
  4. #StopConcentratingOnKerbinAndGiveUsInterestingNaturalLandmarksOnOtherPlanets Stop concentration on Kerbin and give us interesting natural landmarks on other planets.
  5. A part of me really likes this idea. The same part of me that likes random failures. That part of me is masochistic. I'm not sure if I should always listen to it.
  6. It's a great reminder how big the planets in our system actually are. It's kind of mind blowing.
  7. I'd put money down that they are playing games during their free time and not during work time. It's their job. I'd also wager, all that crunch time they talk about in dev notes, that it really happens. I may not like the direction they're headed, but I won't ever say that they're not doing their jobs. Well, we're playing in the Kerbol system. It's not our solar system. Yes, there are similarities, and the size of the system may be a matter of game play, but I'm not sure if this is a valid argument against realism. If that's the point you were trying to make.
  8. Let's be careful throwing the word "fun" around. Some people think Microsoft Flight Simulator is fun. How about Euro Truck Simulator or Farm Simulator? I like horror games. "Fun" is not a universal term. So, let's be careful saying realism wouldn't be fun. As for the general question of the post; I no longer believe Squad wants to make the realistic space flight simulator I thought I was buying. Thankfully, mods do what Squad won't. Praise be the modders. Well put, good sir.
  9. This is really good. If this were stock, I'd definitely play science career.
  10. Thought about that after I typed it, but, darn it, I want to see the pretty scenery!
  11. I'd argue the steep learning curve could be averted with proper instruction given to the player within career mode. The game still does a horrible job teaching new players. I shouldn't have to point people to Scott Manley videos when I hear they bought the game. Thumbs up to each of these.
  12. A developer would know better than me, but I've heard there are many benefits to stock integration, performance being one. They have no problem not explaining gravity turns and delta v, yet they're essential parts of the game. As far as what's "fun", Squad and I have very different opinions on that.
  13. Also, doesn't appear Mk3 parts are updated. Made my self an MM config for all of these, but, you know... Thanks for the speedy update during the holidays, by the way.
  14. Turns out being able to see is pretty important when driving a vehicle. Honestly, I don't know how the Kerbals manage it with some of their cockpit designs.
  15. Yes. Then, Squad can spend the entire update cycle integrating it. (space plane plus) ...but seriously. I hate that rocket parts look like oil drums. It was fine at first, but PorkJet has given the plane parts such a sleek aesthetic, not to mention the NASA parts, that the current rocket parts just look bad.
  16. Can we just get fuel in wings, please? You know, like in real life? Please, Squad? goes back to his MM fueled wings config file
  17. "Fun" is a dangerous term here. RemoteTech may not always be fun, but the overwhelming reward, the sense of accomplishment is well worth the effort. Playing early KSP wasn't always fun, but the first time you landed on the Mun? So, I'd be wary when throwing the word "fun" around. Anyway... It should only be stock at the higher difficulties, if at all. Life support should only be added if Alarm Clock and Transfer Planner are as well. Otherwise, planning such a mission could, more often than not, lead to dead Kerbals.
  18. I was under the impression that it would replace all stock glow. Seams it's only for staging.
  19. Awesome! Thanks for your work! Could we use separate filters for the main, iva, and map view?
  20. Always backup your saves! I learned the hard way.
