  1. No I definitely knew the was the CST-100. I got confused because maybe a page or two back we were discussing an efficent way of getting the Orion into LKO with out useing the Ares 1 SRB design. And the idea of Falcon 9, Delta, and Atlas were mentioned so I thought he was making an Atlas type upper stage. Edit: See page 70
  2. hahaha no lol I guess I never really examined the upperstage of the SLS like that. Now that I look at the them I can't unsee it. I always just assumed it was smooth and the same size all the way down to the interstage. Seriously I can't find a picture where it looks like I think of it.
  3. I think the trend with space craft is affordability and reusability. Although the Buran and Space Shuttle both might score top marks on reusability they just don't seem like affordable concepts anymore. I think heavy lift crafts like the aforementioned ships serve a great purpose building and servicing massive LEO projects like the ISS, it just doesn't make sense anymore. I would have loved to see the Buran really fly regularly and I really do miss the Space Shuttle they just don't make sense anymore. Now if we are talking about reusable spacecraft in terms of delivering crew and servicing things like the ISS I think the Dream Chaser is the future. Now we can have a Klipper vs Dream Chaser discussion if you want but lifting bodies like those make more sense. So to answer the thread question I don't think the Buran could fly again.

  5. You install it like any other mod. You place JSI in your gamedata folder and and thats it. You need to download RPM or Raster Prop Monitor. Now you don't install the folder titled RPM or Raster Prop Monitor you install the folder inside that which is titled JSI. I hope this helps.
  6. Dragon I believe is working on a release for 24.2 that will solve all the problems. You have to put a docking port on top of the one in the crew compartment. Its stupid yes but the only way to get it to work. Give him time, he isn't a modder he is just a reviver of mods. Basically her just recompiles things and gets them working.

  8. For the SDHI the floatation ring is built into the heat shield and deploys automatically. So maybe get in contact with dtobi and or Sumgai, because dtobi's plugin is required but Sumgai somehow figured out how to integrate the ring into the heat shield.   9. I think it should be an amalgamation of all the designs. Since there are so many you can just go with what you think looks best. Now that could just be an ESA concept as well. Also the fist picture with the flotation landing bags isn't the orion. Its the Boeing CST-100 you can see on the side its says Boeing and Bigelow on it, as in the Bigelow Station and the CST-100 that will take people to it. The Orion and CST-100 look very similar but the CST-100 is a little smaller if memory serves me right. I think the Orion is designed strictly for water landings again I could be wrong. Also the Orion is made by Lockheed not Boeing. This is what the Landing bags will look like on the Orion. This is a good picture maybe you can find it useful
  10. So I I have tried this several times before posting. I have tried it several times and every time I release the platform from the kerbals back on the mun it explodes. I don't know why. I have not had a chance to try this on any other planet except Kerbin where it works perfectly fine. I don't know if this has to do with the new update or KAS not officially being fixed but its very frustrating getting to the mun only to try out the rover only to have it blow up. Am I the only one experiencing this?
  11. Maybe see if you can get in touch with dtobi? He has a pack with inflatables that work quite nicely. They even make the ships float. Also what about Pork Jet and his habitat pack it seems like he has quite a handle on inflatables. Even roverdude, his MKS mod has quite a few inflatables in it.
  12. I don't know how you are with IVAs but something that pretty deserves a proper IVA and not just the stock MK1-2 IVA. Something with proper RPM supports etc. Something like ALCOR, maybe reach out to Alexustas, maybe he can give you an idea of how to one or maybe even step up himself. Doubtful as I can't speak for him and I know he is working a few other projects. But well done so far.
  13. It looks good but if you just want to expand SDHI why are basically making SDHI parts? Don't get me wrong they are beautiful but unless you plan on making an expansion like SDHI instead of adding to SDHI why make the stuff that is already made. It seems it will just creat confusion in the VAB.

  15. Can I ask why you are so obsessed with expanding whats already a seemingly sufficient pack of station parts? I mean yes it would be nice to to have all the things you requested. Do you realize how much work it is to just one of the things you requested? Especially to the quality that is to be expected from Helldiver? Now I am not speaking for Helldiver but from what I understand there is a very specific direction they are going with each Phase of development with this and i don't think more station parts is on the agenda in the recent future. So you can ask as much as you want but unless you do it yourself I don't think its going to happen.

  17. Actually no, I am building pretty big and elaborate bases and the rocket never slims out. Its 5m from top to bottom so a 5m upper stage or transfer stage would be welcome for transferring large payloads. I can use tweak scale of course, I was just asking them to keep it in mind for the future.

  19. Can I request just one more engine to the large array of wonderful engines that come with KW. I think one more 5m engine is needed. An upper stage 5m if you will? I have been doing some heavy lifting over the last few days and it seems that an upper stage 5m is exactly whats missing. Obviously I know another part update is way in the future but maybe its something to add to the list in the future?

  23. I agree but I think that a MOD as important as KAS needs to be properly maintained or redone in some way. Because it's hard to imagine atleast at this point for me KSP without KAS. I don't think proper bases and colonization can be done without it. So decisions need to be made.
