Like I said I am just happy getting an intersecting orbit after a TKI burn. Should I be using the J2 to get into mun orbit. What I usually do is the j2 to get the encounter I want and then half way through the trip to the mun I seperate get the LEM and then when I hit the encounter and start my burn at the right time. By the time I get into the mun orbit almost half the fuel is gone and then after circularing and getting into a low orbit to save fuel for the LEM ascent stage the fuel is a little less than half. So once I dock with the LEM I transfer the leftover fuel and even then it's not enough to escape the mun and intersect with Kerbin. It's not the heat with deadly Reentry it's the Gs that the capsule pulls during Reentry that kill my kernels. Obviously I turned off DR but if I were useing it or someone else was useing it Reentry would truly be the most dangerous part.

Actaully it takes place a little bit in the future The Hubbles orbit might have degraded to there by then. However if the space shuttle still exits why they let hubbles orbit degrade.

Actually I have more problem with fuel than Mono. Even transferring leftover fuel from the LM doing a Trans Kerbin Injection the fuel seems insufficient. Again its probably just me so don't change anything on my behalf if everyone else is doing it than its obviously something I am doing wrong. It just seems like I burn so much Delta V getting into Mun orbit and circularizing when I am ready for TKI there is way less than half left. Then if I was using Deadly Reentry my Kerbals would die because I am just happy to get an intersecting orbit with Kerbin because there isn't enough fuel to circularize and slow my decent. If its just me then I will revaluate the way I play. So please don't change anything for me because the rocket is probably perfect.

idk if I am the only one having this issue but the SM decoupler doesn't work I have to manually decouple it every time. It works for the LES and if I assign it to an action group it works just not as a stage. -
I am just going to assume that since all of these are just beta versions he hasn't included the craft files. I am going to assume with the official release of 5.0 he will reintegrate al the other craft files. Thats just an assumption though. Frizz I just flew a mission to the Mun and its.....BEAUTIFUL!! It takes off like a dream and flys like a dream. My only complaint and its still probably just me, is the amount of RCS and fuel in the service moduleI think there needs to be more. I had to cheat with the RCS to make it home and cheat with fuel. I paid for it because the Space Kraken showed up because he knew I cheated. However everything else is just perfect.

Oh man I can't believe its almost done!! When you officially release it you will include all the updated craft files as well? Because I really like and kinda miss all the other Saturn variants, of course I can build them myself but its just really easy to have the craft files.

Yea it's very unrealistic but it was just a place holder to get the Beautiful LEM to the moon when the Saturn V wasn't complete. Also it seems like you have an outdated version FASA because I think that rocket is broken and unavailable in the new versions.

Would you ever consider in the future doing the Atlas Launch vehicles for payloads. I mean I am just assuming with the centaur stages done and some fairings, isn't it now just making the Atlas and centaur tanks in different sizes and colors? Possibly some boosters? Just asking if you thought of doing this. Also have you ever considered fixing the FASA fairings? The fairings just falling away more often than not hit something inside the fairing (solar panels) and destroying parts of the ship. Just some questions about the future of FASA beyond the Saturn V.

I love love this MOD totally changes the way I play the game. Probably you intention lol. Anyway Did you ever consider doing a Bussard collector type tool. Something that collects fuel from the space while you are traveling? I was just reading a discussion post about Bussard collectors and I immediately thought of you. Its an interesting concept. I mean it has to be balanced correctly because other wise whats the point of mining Kethane if you can just fly around to collect fuel. IDK how it would work but instead of kethane it would collect Kydrogen. Idk I just had a thought and I figured you would be the modder to talk to. -
I think in terms a KSP, an extremely popular and useful MOD could be made around that concept. If I had any modding skills this would be something I would work on. Maybe Majiir of the Kethane mod and Fractal_UK of the KSP Interstellar mod could work together on something like this.

Hey so I don't know if it was a KSP glitch or a glitch with the MOD but everytime I ignited the engine it did something wonky. The ship flew straight but the engine effects were strange. Here are some screen shots. Like I said the ship still flew straight but the way the flow of the exhaust is going it looks like I am making a turn. I turned on and off the gimbal and it didn't change anything. Just fyi. I love the this mod I made it all the way to Duna with the SLS. Obviously there wasn't a return trip but still kinda impressive, I suppose thats what its designed to do eventually.

Will do. Shouldn't there be attachment nodes though for the bottom of the tank and orbiter? The last time I downloaded CSS I think it had attachment nodes on the bottom. Also last comment for now but this happens a little during takeoff but is really bad during landing.

Is it possible that there are no bottom attachment nodes to the shuttle from the external tank? I just noticed taht during take off when i do a gravity turn the bottom of the orbiter slaps up against the bottom tank as if it isn't attached and even in the VAB the attachment node is only for the top not the bottom two attachment points. Just fyi wasn't sure if you were aware of this. Also why use Bobcats Buran arm when Romfarer made the Canada Arm? http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/robotic-arms-pack/ Wouldn't that get rid of the Buran Camera issue that you can't change?

Thats very true. Its just with all the mods you need now to run CSS the gamedata folder can get a little cluttered. But you are spot on about everything. What I was thinking actually is the Messiah from Deep Impact. With CSS, Soviet Pack, American Pack, and I think I saw similar boosters in KW you can pretty much make the Messiah. Now with the ARM update it would be interesting to try and make one. I think I want to build the ship in space using the shuttle and other means. I mean thats what they would have had to do in the movie. How do you get the SSSRBs into space without using any of the fuel? It could be fun to do something like they did with the ISS get all the modders together to build the Messiah. Obviously unrealistic and wont happen but for the ARM update it might be cool. It def a project I want to undertake. Kinda just waiting for this to be at 100%. It looks like Energia boosters, SSSRBs attached to liquid fuel tanks, some Orion bits, and the front end of the space shuttle. Its actually a great model because its realistic. It looks like the world used whatever they had available to build a ship to save the earth which is what would happen. So I guess my ultimate point is using the soviet pack, american pack, and CSS ie what is available in the actual world, can you really build that ship.

Now this is just a request. For me I download mods for their utility. Yes I have downloaded mods that I call "one and done" meaning i flew it but i can't use it again so it doesn't stay in my mod folder. Now there is alot of potential for this mod but there needs to be versatility to it. Maybe the ability to repurpose the external tank and SRBs? For the evolutions of everyones personal space programs. So maybe a decoupler and adapter for the top of the SRBs so it can be used like the (now defunct) Aries 1 CLV? Maybe work with bobcat to get this integrated into the American Pack? I know he is at present updating the American Pack and hes got the Buran in the Soviet Pack which never became part of the Soviet Program!! Obviously this MOD needs to be running at 100% before any of this. Just some ideas for the future after everything is said and done. NASA unfortunately couldn't pick up right after the Shuttle and repurpose the parts but maybe we can. Just fruit for thought.
