You don\'t have to, but where\'s the fun in doing something that you have done with the Mun hundreds of times?

Kerbin's Time Trial Rover Challenge
RC1062 replied to TinnedEpic's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
You know brake is \'B\' right? Like the video, like the challenge. I shall try it! -
I took the same principle. If you put the reverse engines in a new stage and have the deactivate ready you can cut the time down.
-
Like this? I\'ve also started parking at the Mun, then moving on to Minmus. Good practice for planetary transfers.
-
This is exactly how I feel. My first Mun landing was so full of tension, I had my friends over my shoulder (none of which had actually landed) telling me how to do it. I kept quiet, adjusting the throttle, using the RCS... Touch down! Well... The next mission was just as exciting, I got them home this time.

Do I sense the possibility of something that could be upgraded with research in campaign?

Vertical launch horizontal landing shuttle [0.15 stock]
RC1062 replied to sneakeypete's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Neither had I. -
I think it is doing a front flip...
-
Have you tried moving to rocket part forward? The rocket fuel is very dense and would be best suited right over the centre of mass of the plane.
-
Someone rolled a truck to it using the cart plugin. Then they launched it.
-
Does caps-lock work on mac? It has never worked for me but I\'ve never asked whether it is a mac issue or my own computer.
-
Same. I can\'t use the planes unless I look at the sky but the assembly buildings run amazingly.
-
First sling around the Mun to Minmus? God it took me a while... ;D
-
The Mun will continue to move. If you were to map your position relative to Kerbin it would look better.

Vertical launch horizontal landing shuttle [0.15 stock]
RC1062 replied to sneakeypete's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
You could try altering the angle of the wings so they point down (Hmm... That\'ll be odd... Though I think the real shuttle had wings like that...) *EDIT* They do slope slightly down... -
Yes, this isn\'t the best place. If you change it to a request for a civilisation map of Kerbin that would be best. And no mention of countries and such, maybe just a Kerbal mod. With Kerbals and rockets.

About 36,000 m at a guess (1m = 3 1/3ish ft). -

Yup. Grab the cockpit and rotate. -

http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=7737.msg113382#msg113382 This might be more useful. Are you using windows? Things can be weird if you install it funny (or correctly, can\'t remember). I\'ll try and find the topic.

I post less between 11 and 12 than between 10 and 11. That would be because I have elevenses. ;D

Fisher-Price My First Spaceplaneâ„¢
RC1062 replied to purple100's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Landing gear config: Hopefully someone can shed some light on the design. You could place the rear gear on the wings...
