Well they vary with altitude.

The ones in the atmosphere are just as strong as the rockets but use much less fuel. The fuselages also weigh less.

0.15 effectively introduced the flight pack as stock parts. That made them only effective inside the atmosphere. Before they were essentially rocket engines.

Oldest trick in the book... Also, I would avoid taking calls from Microsoft tech support... Especially when your whole house runs off Macs...
