[1.7.2] KK Launchers - Delta, Atlas Pack
Kartoffelkuchen replied to Kartoffelkuchen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@sciencepanda: Have you got the Old School Fairings Mod installed? You'll need that to get the Fairings properly working (and decoupling). @xxhansonmaxx: Yes. The plan for the next update(s) is: 1) Adding custom sounds to every rocket, based on real launch audio. 2) Remake the RS-27 and RS-27A engine, their current model is ok but not really good 3) Remake Centaur, add DEC version, switch to noonespecials RL-10 engine when it becomes available 4)Falcon 9 5) Delta IV 6) Delta III This is the order in which it'll be done and most probably released. -
God dammit, this won't be fun to texture. I'd official see this as "finished" in terms of modelling, really, I believe I have the important things covered up now. If you miss anything important, please tell me, and with important I mean important, and not a pipe somewhere around the launch pad or something. I'm really not very excited to model this any time longer, I'll be happy when I'm done with that! - - - Updated - - - Oh, and I will also work on Omelek Island, that tiny island where SpaceX launched its Falcon 1's from, mainly because I want to have it for my Falcon 1.

[1.7.2] KK Launchers - Delta, Atlas Pack
Kartoffelkuchen replied to Kartoffelkuchen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Haha thanks! Yeah, that's simply because the file you can download is not compatible with KSP 1.0.3+. I am just preparing the first page for tomorrows update, that I don't have to write all that in the last minutes. When I release the update, you can use it in KSP 1.0.3+, but right now, it's still incompatible, even if you install the requirements. Sorry for any misunderstandings there. -
[1.7.2] KK Launchers - Delta, Atlas Pack

Yes, I will do that, thanks for reminding me Quarky. Originally, I wanted to do that right away, but due to a bug with that part being a decoupler I couldn't solve I said that I'd just make it different. I will change that soon. Here's a short video showing off the new sounds I added for the Merlin 1C engine: -
Problem with custom sound
Kartoffelkuchen replied to Kartoffelkuchen's topic in KSP1 Modelling and Texturing Discussion
Well, it was as simple as that...turn up the volume in Audacity, and then again in the part.cfg...it was too quiet, no wonder I thought I've made a mistake! So guys, turn up the volume! -
Problem with custom sound
Kartoffelkuchen replied to Kartoffelkuchen's topic in KSP1 Modelling and Texturing Discussion
Yes, I am using ModuleEnginesFX. I've just checked together with liquidhype the config, and we tested one of his sounds with my config, and it worked, so it must have something to do with the way I export the sound in Audacity. - - - Updated - - - OK, got it working with a small adjustment in Audacity! -
Hey guys, I'm having a problem with getting my custom sound working. I've downloaded a mp3 soundfile with an ignition sound on it, opened that up in a freshly installed Audacity, cutted it right, setted the "project frequence" to 48000Hz (I believe I heard that you had to do this) and exported it as "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM. The file's name is sound_ignition1. Then I copied that into my Testfolder in GameData (KSPwin/GameData/Test/Sounds), and added the following to a cfg of an engine: EFFECTS { engage { AUDIO { channel = Ship clip = Test/Sounds/sound_ignition1 volume = 1.0 pitch = 2.0 loop = false } } } But now, that sound is not playing when I activate the engine in KSP. Any idea waht I am doing wrong? I guess it has something to do with the way I exported the sound file, but I am not sure how and what to change there. Help would be highly appreciated! =)

@Merill: I'll look into that. @MajorLeau..bla, I had no time for this at all, Launchers Pack "stole" most of my time. Though that should be released before this weekend, and after that, I'll have more time again. I will start with the Saturn IB on that weekend, and I believe I should have most of the stuff modelled by next week monday, so I can show off some images already. Then about one more month for texturing and balancing, and then release. I think about making something like Energija, but with 1.875m Shuttle-based SRB, which could also be used for my own idea of how a Kerbalized Space Launch System could look like after the IB, but that's still a bit. If you have any other ideas, let me know! --EDIT-- @_Augustus_: Not sure about that, I think I'd like to make a kerbalized SLS first, but I will come back to your idea at some point!

[1.7.2] KK Launchers - Delta, Atlas Pack
Kartoffelkuchen replied to Kartoffelkuchen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Great, the hard part is done! Every rocket is now properly configured, and can lift 64% of their real life "brother" ( ) to LKO. Now, I only have to make all the different versions (yay ), write a manual and prepare everything. I am expecting the new version to be released by the end of this week, so get ready, build your probes! -
Very cool! Please, could you remove the Launchers Pack MM config file? You won't need that, I've integrated the module in all of my configs, and will make that plugin as depenceny.
-
Well... IT WORKS You are awesome Bob!! Thank you! (Though now I need to reconfigure my rockets *again*, they have 150m/s Delta-V too much now, since the payload produces no drag... )
-
Well, you've probably donwload the latest official version. I've released a test version of the Atlas V for KSP 1.0 some time ago, but that's not really the latest thing. I will pack you an up-to-date version based on my latest changes together and send it you via PM for testing, okay?
-
That's awesome! I will test it with the rockets once you've got a download up and tell you how it goes!
-
Yes, it's that Launchers Pack... (Sounds so devaluing...) So yeah, would those kind of Fairings also work?
