  1. How about checking the OP or actually checking the mod out? BFR aka ITS is included, although it‘s not the most current version as SpaceX changed some things since the ITS presentation.
  2. Version 5.3 released! Changelog: Rebalanced Falcon 9's second stage fuel tank (of all Block's) to have lower dry mass and more fuel Added TESS payload fairing Fixed inversed RCS effects Changed FH .craft file slightly Download from Spacedock
  3. Hm interesting, not 100% but maybe KSP limits backward compatability with .craft files? I saved the craft files in KSP 1.4.2, you‘re using 1.4.1, maybe that‘s the issue.
  4. Not really sure if I misunderstood that or not, but you can't rename anything or most parts won't load, you need to extract the contents from the .zip in "GameData" to "KSP main folder/GameData" and the contents from the .zip's "Ship/VAB" folder into "KSP main folder/Ships/VAB" folder, then it should work. Otherwise, try to reinstall the mod. @JoshTheCoward That's a problem with RO and should also be adressed in the RO thread, I can't help you there. @Masterjef Rockets are already at 1:1 scale, you should check out RO, I *think* there are included configs
  5. Is there any way to get the correct roll angle of an airplane (relative to the surface)? I really am starting to give up on this, the only thing I want is the (relative) roll of the aircraft around its longitudinal axis.
  6. Could you specify the „issue“? Isn‘t it working or is there some bug occuring or what‘s going on?
  7. Nope With an Isp of 322 and 375kN thrust, the Merlin 1D Vacuum is pretty ok in comparison. It's well in line with the Merlin 1D as this version is optimized for vacuum and thus is much more efficient and with more thrust, while, if you compare S1 and S2 fueltanks, they don't compare as nicely. S2 simply holds too less fuel in comparison to stage 1, so I reduced the dry mass of stage 2 by a third and added more fuel to it, so it reaches the same wet mass again (~40t) so lift off TWR won't be off. That's the reason S2 is so heavy, to reduce the TWR at lift off, which otherwise would be much too high, but we can't reduce thrust on the M1D's, otherwise a landing wouldn't be possible any more, so that was quite a balancing act to do and now I'm just changing the fuel / dry mass of stage 2 to let it carry more fuel to also reach mun and interplanetary orbits which is much more realistic. Will update soon
  8. I‘ve changed stage 2 to carry about 25% more fuel with a decreased dry mass, now F9 and Heavy both have a more reasonable performance to all orbits. Will update soon
  9. I‘ve already included a Merlin 1D „Full Thrust +“ in the mod, this is meant to be the final, uprated thrust block 5 engine. I‘d need to check on the numbers if it indeed has 7% more thrust since I made that cfg quite some time ago already, but in theory, it‘s included. also, maybe should have said that in the OP, will add it, the B5 mod and the linked fairing textures currently are not working because I removed the firespitter dependency and I think both of these still use it, so you‘ll need to download firespitter mod (only the plugin) for these to work currently.
  10. Hey, thanks for your work @SpaceBirb! I've just updated the SpaceX Pack to work with KSP 1.4.2 and thus, I also removed firespitter as a dependency because now in 1.4, the module "ModulePartVariants" lets you apply different textures to one part, go check out some squad configs for fuel tanks or the new parts from the expansion to see how that works. It would be great if you could drop the firespitter dependency as well and also switch to the stock module, otherwise users will need to install firespitter for this expansion to work. Also, would it be possible to not replace the original configs, but rather make a module manager patch for the changed parts? I am not too familiar with MM but I think there's gotta be a feature which simply lets you "add" some stuff to an already existing line, you might need to ask someone else or look in the documentation, but that would be great so custom textures won't need to be inserted into the cfg again. If you have questions how the new stock module works, feel free to ask and I'll help you! (also I've changed some names so be careful when applying your textures!) Thanks, KK
  11. Updated for KSP 1.4.2! Changelog: Removed firespitter dependency, now using the stock "Part Variants" module which allows to set different textures & models for one part Fixed landing leg texture bug Included F9 Demo .craft file Also cleaned up the OP and added some things users have created as an expansion for this mod, thanks everyone for that, now your work is also mentioned properly in the OP! Feel free to check some of these out everyone! Edit: Just found a small bug, for some reason the RCS "puffs" have been rotated 180° by the developers, so they fire in the opposite direction now (see for example on F9 Stage 2)... strange thing, hope I can fix it or they will fix it Download from Spacedock
  12. Holy smokes that‘s awesome! Will link it!:)
  13. Not possible, it's a KSP limitation. You need mods for that to allow greater rendering distance I'm afraid, nothing I can change there. @SpaceEnthusiast23 Good to know thanks. I'll check out KSP 1.4 and will see if this still works, otherwise I'll publish an update soonish
  14. Yes, but you‘ll have to wait a little. We finally saw some pictures of the first F9 Block 5 in McGregor, so I‘ll adjust the textures already, but I‘m waiting for a word from Musk/SpaceX for how much the thrust really changed now (10% as speculated?). So yeah just wait a little while
  15. Uhm BFR / ITS is already included, go check it out. A dragon spacecraft was planned at some point but I ditched it due to lack of time.
  16. Sorry to hear you got issues installing the mod ryan. At first glance it seems you installed everything correctly.. maybe delete all the mod files completely and then reinstall it? Usually it works just fine!
  17. Yeah, upper stage fuel tanks weight is really high to balannce the whole architecture to make a single engine landing possible while still maintaining a resonable launch TWR. You can decrease the mass of the stage 2 fuel tank of F9 and you‘ll easily get more out of it.
  18. @Briso Mh yeah, RO does not seem to have aupport for this mod. I‘d be grateful if someone took the time and created some proper RO configs for this and integrated it within RO, since it‘s a common request, but you‘ll need to ping the RO dev team there, nothing I can really do about it.
  19. Holy smokes guys! Well that was a pretty amazing maiden flight, wasn't it? Also wanna give y'all a huge thanks for more than 30.000 downloads! That's incredible! And yes, for everybody wondering, this mod still works fine in KSP 1.3.1, I could not replicate any issues reported.
  20. That‘s... interesting? Which KSP version do you use? I‘ll check
  21. You can also downsize it, just go into the config of the ASDS and type rescaleFactor = 0.6 instesd of 1
  22. You know, these configs were made *months* ago, and because a relese soon seemed plausible there and the configs were done, they were simply added to RO already. The configs were done by @raidernick btw. However sknce the pack is not really upcoming any more, I‘ll release my work soonish (:P).
  23. Yeah as he said already included. Just no RO support I think, I also am not sure why, but you‘d need to ping the RO devs for that.
  24. Sup Long time no see. Does this still work or is there anything which would Need an upgrade for the latest KSP Version since I lost track a Little bit... Haven't touched KSP in months, sorry for that. I'll probably release my part of the ULA mod within the next three weeks or so I guess during Holidays, not sure yet if I can step up and make sure everything works or if I'll just make it 'open source' or so so others can make sure everything is ok. That Thing would never be coming out, so I'll just do it somehow like that. I mean it is ridicolous, we started on this one like a year ago almost now, and still it is not out so yeah... it's my turn I guess. (Oh well let's at least hope ULA will not Claim Copyright or whatever for me using their logos heh).. That's it
