  1. This should work fine for the demo. As far as I\'m aware the demo will take mod parts no problem, but it doesn\'t allow for anything requiring a plugin .dll. Most plain parts you find like this should work fine. (And when you get bored of that, consider buying access to the up-to-date releases. Plugins are aweeeesoooooooooome - never mind all the new gameplay elements that are being added and not included in the demo)
  2. I tried putting the VTOLS on a short, standard, 1 tank, 1 engine model to play with them around KSC, as such: Chute Pod Coupler VTOL LOX Tank VTOL Engine With fuel pipes joining the tank and engine over the lower VTOL thruster. I can\'t even lift off from the pad. Thing does backflips like it\'s got a shuttle hanging off one side. What\'s wrong?
  3. japan: What we need, since people seem to like building construction trucks and stuff, are some nice, strong, wide, animated support legs to stop our stuff tipping over.
  4. I know RedSpar has plans for different cargo bay options and I\'ve made suggestions on custom outfits and things, too. Balance is a problem when you start adding your own things. I found out just how much when I modified the Eagle only SLIGHTLY (copied the ASAS and made a MJ, put it infront of the ASAS and removed the MJ pod from the rear) and under even moderate thrust on the Mun it spun head over heels out of control A plugin for attitude control will probably be required. I\'m doing my best to convince the people that can to help out I am however going to fool around with the VTOL engines from Nova\'s BACE 3 pack. They\'re supposed to be auto-levelling.
  5. I realise that and I hope Vlad didn\'t take offense. If that page didn\'t try to rape my browser I probably wouldn\'t have worried so much. Even if the page itself intends to not be malicious, its up to the advertisement server as to what actually gets shown and there were way too many things going on there, using a variety of methods, that even if it wasn\'t a .ru TLD I would have called an alert to it\'s potential as a security issue. I hope there are no misunderstandings, Vlad. Continue on.
  6. A Bag \'o Fuel? Sloshing around in the tray of the BigTrak? What could go wrong? I LIKE IT!
  7. Just use the attachment option at the bottom of the post editor.. Upload them as attachments. I appreciate you taking action. Your engines looks nice btw. Good job.
  8. Vlad. Try not to use Russian image hosts. I assume they are your countrymen and this isn\'t the place to list my misgivings, but as others noted.. Change your image host. If for no other reason than this is a child-oriented forum, but mostly because .ru is a security risk and that page spamming browser objects everywhere doesn\'t endear me. Upload your images as attachments to the forum post. That why the feature exists.
  9. I have had the best experience hovering about and landing on the Mun with these MechJeb settings: KILL ROT VERT @ 0 Toggle main thrusters to move forward. At slow speeds fly it like a helicopter using roll to strafe. MechJeb will allow you to move the controls while maintaining control. To go up or down use the Translatron\'s VERT hold. With VERT at your desired setting, you can accelerate and slow down by pitching the Eagle and letting MechJeb control the VTOLS. Obviously the more pitch you apply, the more thrust the VTOLs need and the more gets applied to slowing you down/speeding you up. From 200m/s or so you can slow quite rapidly with a pitch of 70 or 80 degrees and still have MechJeb keep you level, or in a slow descent, or whatever you want. You people bitching about MechJeb autoland disgust me. Remember to treat it more like a Mi-26 Hind than a Robinson R-44.
  10. Really? This is still at the top of the page your reply is on, as well as being mentioned half a dozen times throughout the thread.
  11. It certainly does seem to gather undersea data. There is just nothing underwater except a mostly flat bottom. Excuse the horrible, horrible colours.
  12. May I suggest you use the latest update of the plugin and start with fresh datafiles. Because of out of bounds data that can occur in the .csv, innsewerants\' mapgen is the only software guarenteed to display correctly.
  13. I noticed it had been quiet for a while so I thought I\'d stir up the muddy bottom to see what was going on and get some more interest going. Glad it\'s not been abandoned!
  14. DON\'T SAY THAT! I\'M NOT LISTENING! Seriously though, RedSpar, if you\'ve given up, those models look really nice. Could we just have them, please? (This is the second Eagle project that has ended by only releasing the command pod) BTW Plugins now exist for differential rocket controls. If coding is not your thing, I implore you to just release these fine, fine models for someone else to finish up a plugin for attitude control if it\'s necessary. For the sake of humanity, man! Think of the children! Don\'t do it for you. Do it for us. ;D
  15. Hm. Do it without quickloading. Every time you fail you have to fly there again. That\'s what makes you a man. Back in my day the trip was uphill both ways. wd anyway. Keep practicing until you can do it every time without crashing.
  16. Not fair. I want an Eagle so much. :\'( Please finish this, Mister.
  17. I\'m not going to post the craft because it uses too many bits from too many packs.
  18. That\'s too good to be allowed. I\'m going to have to disallow this part based on it being too good.
  19. This is unfortunately a game limitation. Unless there is some other way to get mesh data, it\'s only loaded close to your currently controlled ship.
  20. I used 'The Node'. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=5881.0 And I\'m pretty sure the radial 90-degree thingies are from NovaPunch. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4180.0 I\'m using landing legs as included in the Multi-Joint Plugin. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=9017.0 Keep in mind this was the 3rd iteration of the 2nd design. It took a while to get something that was light enough, had enough fuel and stable enough on liftoff. Even then you\'ll notice I\'m using a lot of extra-strong struts attached to the mesh arms to keep it from doing the banana. I also have some slightly complicated fuel routing on the carrier/lander stage. I believe what happens is after the 2m rocket fires (under the inverted decoupler), the 4 engines on the lander also fire and suck fuel from the 2m tank. That gives me enough in the 2m tank and enough thrust (I found the 2m engine wasnt enough alone) to insert into orbit and get half way through a TMI, then leaving all the lander tanks with plenty of fuel for the rest. Here\'s the last iteration of the first design. It sucked a bit and didn\'t have enough fuel. I only managed one landing - the first. All the rest crashed due to flameout.
