Yeah, it allows you to create new planets. It's really a work in progress, but you can use it to make planets. I don't know if they got stars working yet, though. Also, there's some activity in the Kopernicus thread. Kopernicus was the second big planet-creation attempt, but it's pretty much died off until recently. There's also Starsystems, which allows star creation and planetary system modification (though not planet creation). However, it hasn't been updated in a while. EDIT: Yeah, I think KopernicusTech does allow star creation.

KopernicusTech is the only one that I think is still active: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/109122-WIP-KopernicusTech-An-integration-attempt-between-Kopernicus-and-KittopiaTech-%280-121-02-13-15%29/page70 Otherwise, there's Planet Factory, which is the original planet creation mod (I'm pretty sure it still works).

Dukes of Duna - 4K rover speedrun challenge!
Vaporo replied to hobbez's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I did it! Final time of 1:32. Here's the craft download if you want to confirm: http://www./download/wc4pmb0w8kc3r3q/Duna+Racifier.craft Action groups: 1- Activate upward-facing engines 2- Toggle forward engines 3- Toggle reverse engines The rover is extremely durable, with a collision tolerance of 80 m/s on most of the external parts, and can carry 2 Kerbals. One for going forward, one for going backwards. It uses plane wheels for moving under rocket power, so it doesn't break the rover wheels. On plane wheels, it has a maximum speed of about 90 m/s, above which you are liable to crash and die. Otherwise, it has to retract the plane wheels and use the rover wheels to move. I used Action Groups Extended during the run, so I didn't have to keep going back to the SPH every time I wanted to change my action groups, and the rover had a MechJeb pod. The craft download should be completely stock, though. It took probably fifty tries before I got it right. I tumble, crashed, exploded, and died countless times. Something I learned: you *have* to be sure you aren't using those downward-facing rockets when you don't need them. Otherwise you run out of fuel and explode in the the last half-kilometer. And beware of speeds above 80 m/s. If you crash above 80, there's no recovering. I also tried to minimize my time spent planting the flag by planting it right in front of the seat. I can drive right over top of it without breaking it, and time when I'm not moving is time wasted. Album: -
Dukes of Duna - 4K rover speedrun challenge!
Vaporo replied to hobbez's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I know you said no physics altering mods, but would it be ok to use Time Control to slow down time so I can react faster? Also, do you have to come to a complete stop when you cross the final finish line? Or is it ok if you happened to cross in a high-speed ball of fiery explosions and only came to a complete stop 20 seconds later? Also, is it ok if the vehicle is only drivable after you repair the wheels? And why are you giving me those looks? I'm sure you've done worse. -
KSP "Dying On Top of the World" tribute to 1.0 - Video released
Vaporo replied to HafCoJoe's topic in KSP Fan Works
Most of these aren't really what you wanted, and all are from newer versions of KSP (0.22 and up), but it was so much fun looking through my old missions that I couldn't just delete the post after I finished typing it out. Here they are, if you want to use them. Epic screenshots of my epically oversized Jool-5 rocket: A few more shots from that mission: Here's the rest of my Jool-5 album but the ones above are some of the best. KSP Interstellar warpship: EDIT: Here's a few more: -
Texture glitches from the beta testing of the Real Life Digital.

What is your creative process like when you have an idea in KSP?
Vaporo replied to Little Katie's topic in KSP1 Discussion
My design process: 1. I want to go to the Mun today using NovaPunch parts. 2. Huh... my lander looks kind of dinky and boring on top of that big rocket. Why don't I add an some extra fuel? 3. *adds ten extra fuel tanks* 4. Huh... my launch stage looks small and weak to carry my lander. I should probably add more engines. 5. *adds ten more asparagus stages* 6. If game is not crashing, go to step 2. 7. Gee, that took a long time to build. I think I'll browse the forums for a bit before launching. 8. See Eve lander. 9. Wow! That guy's Eve lander is smaller than my Mun lander! He must be really good at this game. -
Are you insinuating that the intelligence of that citrine musical instrument is lesser than that of the average musical instrument?

It bugs me when people talk about the amount of CO2 reprocessing that trees do. The fact is, something like 75% of the earth's CO2 reprocessing comes from algae in the oceans. Also, the OP mentions that humanity releases 10 billion metric tons of CO2 in a year. According to my quick, back-of-napkin calculation, this is only about 0.33% of the total mass of CO2 in the atmosphere. This seems pretty insignificant, to me. I am prone to mistakes, though, so here's my calculation in case someone wants to check to see if I made some stupid mistake: 10 * 10 ^ 9 = mass of CO2 emitted by humans 44.01 / 28.956 = molar mass of CO2 relative to air (about 1.5) (5.15 * 10 ^ 18) / 1000 = mass of atmosphere in metric tons 0.00039 = part of atmosphere (by volume) that is CO2 10 * 10 ^ 9 / ((44.01 / 28.956) * (0.00039 * ((5.15 * 10 ^ 18) / 1000)))= 0.0033 or 0.33% That's my two cents in this discussion. EDIT: Never mind. The OP also made a mistake. The OP was posting the mass of carbon being released, not carbon dioxide.

Bug: crashing into Pol
Vaporo replied to RocketBlam's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Pol just seems buggy, right now. The majority of my really weird glitch-out moments seem to happen there. Once, I crashed into the surface a mile above the surface, planted a flag that teleported a mile into the air when I quickloaded, and ended up an eighth of the way around Pol's orbit when I exited its SOI, all in the same mission. -
Hah! I don't care about efficiency or aesthetics. My rockets are ugly ten-story monstrosities that could be done with half the parts and a quarter of the weight. I build rockets that get places via brute force, not elegance.

Will life adjusts its appearance to fit its environment? I ask because the first picture you posted of the thorn-plants had them on a desert-like planet looking very dry and brittle (Bent over. Lights on tips nearly invisible), but the video had them on a lush planet looking much healthier (Standing up straight. Lights on tips visible. Maybe a bit taller. Maybe less Yellowish-brown.) Or am I reading too much into lighting differences and changes during development? Also, will there be "jungle" planets, where foliage is so thick that it's difficult or impossible to see the ground?

Will the planets have caves/overhangs? I always like caves.
