  1. I thought I’d make up to the group for my recent 1.1 rant (I’ve never been called a troll before) with some actual constructive suggestions. I’ve been accumulating this list: Center of DRAG in VAB/SPH The Center Of Drag of a vehicle needs to be behind its center of mass or it won’t fly. I’m imagining a red sphere with an arrow pointing at it. Action Group commands as call-outs over the part When programming action groups, when I click on a part, the various options for that part should show up as a popup under my mouse like a tweak menu, instead of way over there on the sidebar. It will be a lot less mouse movement and make programming action groups a lot easier. Use the word: “Command” There are several places in the game where you seem to be searching for a word. That word is “Command.” You shouldn’t “jump to ship, ” or “switch to” a ship, or even “fly” a ship as it might be a rover or base, you should “Take Command” (that always applies) They shouldn’t be “Action Groups” they should be “Command Keys” SAS Hold Relative to Prograde (or SOI) If I’m reentering a space plane I want to put the nose a little bit above prograde and hold of there. Or set it for climb or descent. (but of course relative to prograde is also relative to retrograde and normal and everything else, so I’m not sure what you call it) Get rid of the 8 bit (now scoreboard) font. It was 8 bit before (now it looks like scoreboard) but just to get rid of it. It’s the 21st century, please use of nice clean readable font. (You do know, that a lot of your players have age-related presbyopia) One opening screen Please combine the 2 ½ opening screens I have to go through to launch and load a saved game into one. its just unnecessary clicking. Persistent “Control from here” When I “switch” back its losing where “Control from here” was. (EDIT: only sometimes? maybe its a bug?) Persistent ship names When I undock from a Space Station can I please get my ship name back?? (or just keep it while docked?) Undo Node Edit And can I please have control-Z work (EDIT: or an undo button) when I screw-up that absolutely perfect rendezvous maneuver I just had entered a second ago? No timewarp with spacecraft within X meters While obviously not a game-engine restriction (like the other “Cannot Timewarp when …” things) Timewarp with a ship within 100 meters is usually not a good idea, and accidental Timewarp while docking is disastrous. I know! (maybe its an option) Thanks Guys! Good work on 1.1(.1)

  3. Love the new cleaner map view where you don't see the orbits of ships until you zoom into the planet. Then they fade up nicely. But the fade up takes way too long. I zoom into a moon and think "Where are all the ships ... oh there they are." is there a text file I can edit to make that faster?
  4. I've seen guys do that for low-mass challenges (feels like cheating the physics engine to me)

  7. In 1.1.1 my munbases only jumped a little in the air. (i'll take it) UI scaling: YAY! Does everyone think we're done w/ major changes to wheels for now? So I can restart my research into high-speed rovers?
  8. Finally! FYI "Map Filter" is that gray thing on the top of Map View that turns on and off different kinds of ships.

  11. It will have uses in screenshots: If photo-composite two shots ( 1 with and 1 w/o it) you can just look through the windows. (actually it should have a windows-only mode)
  12. I have moved passed it. I figure I'm just going to steer clear of the buggy parts until they're patched (my Mun bases fly up off the ground as soon as I load them - so I won't be visiting them for a while.) OTOH, the Dev's needed to hear from us about this. We're not beta testers anymore- were customers. That build needed to stay in the oven for another month.
  13. I’ve read a lot of people are not seeing improvement in graphics in 1.1. Maybe, like me, you have turned much of your graphics settings off. I was running with medium rez textures, minimum shadows, and no antialiasing. Now I’m at full rez textures, AA set to 4x, and I’ve maxed out the shadow settings (which makes the shadow artifacts go away) And boooy is this game prettier AND I STILL have a much faster framerate.
  14. I am seeing a higher framerate, esp with the smoke during launch, (which was totally clogging things up in 1.05) and with high part counts, and lights on. (win 7 dual i5 8gb, intel graphics)
  15. Yes, its my own damn fault, yes, its only a game, and yes I am only temporarily screwed out of progress on my mission to Eve. And I was OK with any of this in version 0.x. But if they want to call this post 1.0 they have to stop this. Unless someones bonus was involved, I can't imagine why they needed to rush this out with obvious unfixed bugs from prerelease. It's not like it had to be in stores by Christmas or anything. They need to have a meeting a SQUAD tomorrow morning: "This is 1.1 people! we need to stop these beta shenanigans!" @Kerbart What page is that?? The one I find has guys asking for a 1.1 upgrade,
  16. Oh, sorry, I haven't experienced that one yet. (I wouldn't be so liquided if i had remembered to backup 1.05)
  17. Not made of glue?? a lander on the runway slides like it was on wheels (and without brakes).. and no I can't turn 10 wheels on and off with right clicks.
  18. ??? It hasn't been there since the upgrade, I even re-installed it. its just gone. (just like Hyperedit was before I installed the 1.1 beta of it) The webpage says its for 1.05
  19. My landers slide around b/c of glitches w/ the struts. I can't deploy a rover because you can't turn the motors on and off w/ Action Groups. (and most of my landers are rovers), KAC hasn't been updated yet, so I can't move forward in my 1.05 career game without missing a burn.My old rover designs don't work anymore because the wheels are "blocked" Building new rovers from scratch in sandbox and play w/ the new physics is literally all I've been able to do.
  20. Sounds like you just need bigger (or more) wheels. The previous wheel sim was more like skis. Now you can skid, do power drifts, even spin-out. Tires no longer just pop above certain speeds, but do on impact, its all much more realistic.
