What was the hardest thing you've done in KSP?
Brainlord Mesomorph replied to RandomUser's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Continue playing despite the bugs and crashes. (Does the OP mean totally ,or at the time?) Learning to dock was a triumph. (Yesterday i did it three times before breakfast, literally) Landing on the mun was easy. Making it back (5 rescue missions) was hard. /but most of the time my really big plans get scuttled, b/c they keep changing builds //Edit: once you learn dV and to practice everything at the KSC or Mun things go a lot smoother -
I have a "Peggy Kerman" with 100% Courage and 0% Stupidity. I don't think its a coincidence. I figure there's a Peggy somewhere at Squad.

That. And most of my lifters are SSTO reusable rockets. They take extra designing. parachutes, heat-shields, landing gear.

ksp + NoMansSky

Without changing Duna being Duna, I think there should be randomization with limits. ( different amounts of polar ice, some times you get rocks, other times little tree things, maybe a little O2, esp if you have the little trees) Think of all the speculation we had about Mars before we got there. those should all be possibilities. more important I think: there should be "a reveal" to the solar system: You shouldn't get to see the other planets UNTIL YOU VISIT THEM. They should be blank globes in Map View. Even the far side of the Mun should be blank until you orbit it. I'm from the 20th Cent, I remember when we didn't know what the planets looked like. We were surprised by the ring around Jupiter, and the Sheppard moons in Saturn's Rings. That should be part of the game. Think of the excitement for a Noob, when he finally gets a probe to Jool, and sees Laythe for the first time! At the start of the game, Duna's surface should be represented by a pencil sketch of canals. -
Courage and stupidity

I found it hilarious that those were the only two stats Kerbals had. -
What? It's just a big lander without a enough fuel to leave (or maybe *with!*) The ability to drive up and dock other parts is an EXPANDABLE base

KSP: Salvage One - turned - video game??
Brainlord Mesomorph replied to GoSlash27's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Maybe I stopped watching after six episodes... (I said IIRC) -
KSP: Salvage One - turned - video game??
Brainlord Mesomorph replied to GoSlash27's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I remember that show! Six episodes total I think. IIRC: In the pilot, he goes to the moon, in violation of several laws and treaties. He thoroughly vandalizes the historical site that is Tranquility Base. Steals as much US property as he can, returns to Earth and faces no legal repercussions. Then the writers seem to not know where to go from there. (entire episodes are on YouTube - Episode NINE? i think it was canceled in the US by then), -
OK the font scaling is really a problem. I just my burn was in T minus 1 minute. And it was T PLUS one minute.

I'm not talking about over-arching themes like modular, or streamlined, or reusable. I mean some little combination of parts you put on just so you know its yours. For me: Everything needs a probe core, usually a fullsize Hecs, that probe cobe must have an antenna, and that antenna must be off-center. How 'bout you

Anyone getting phantom force? twice now i'm in orbit trying to plot a node, and I notice Pe is moving toward my current pos and Ap is moving away! I quickly turn off throttle and RCS, nothing helps And then I have to Alt-F4 out of the game to keep it from ruining my save. (mods KAC and HyperEdit only) (it might be me, I might have *something* on...)

They aren't funny. but: A tug is an Interplanetary Service Module (ISM) A rover usually comes with a Delivery and Extraction Vehicle (DEV) My space-jeep is a Manned Multipurpose Interplanetary Vehicle (MMIpV) pronounced "mip-vee" And of course every mission has a TLA (three letter acronym) Joolian Exploratory Fleet (JEF) Solar Resource Survey (SRS) etc

To answer the OP: Do I love or hate KSP upgrades? Yes.

Realizing how complex this really is, Esp with orbital construction. So how about this: You can designate a ship as "Under Construction" then anything you attach is absorbed into the hierarchy (like now) after you turn that off,(ie its complete) *then* ships that dock to it retain their identities. Then you could pick from a list "Undock Duna Lander III" and it would separate w/o you having to figure out which docking post that is.
