Kerbol Extended Grand Tour
amarius1 replied to The Minmus Derp's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
as @_Augustus_ said, a lot of the planets from Kerbol Plus are no longer in Kerbol Origins. Now in Origins we have Faz orbiting Eve, Harvest in L5 spot behind kerbin, the ringed Revus which is in an orbit close to Dres. Afterwards we have the Sarvin system which now lacks the useless S-1, S-2, S-3 and S-4 asteroids. Last in the list is the giant Keelon with the lava moon Manai and icy Kralaus. In a hard to reach orbit we then have the comet Corolet. Please update the names accordingly so people are less confused. -

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
amarius1 replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thank you, I'll be waiting for this (old boi who left the community so much time ago) -
Thank you everyone for reporting this issue to me. Without your support and reports, the issue couldn't have been fixed in time. Kerbol Origins v.0.4.8 has been released and the mod now works again with the latest version of Kopernicus. Terribly sorry everyone for not noticing this earlier, but I'm very busy and the KSP community is something I barely visit anymore. I miss the old days... <3

Quantity over quality please... This is a hard lesson I learned long ago and you are risking a good deal by splitting yourself between several projects. I'm sure you'll give Origins some love as soon as possible. It really needs some progress and most things left now are cosmetic and other things that you could certainly do. Wish I could do them but my hardware doesn't really like EVE and other beauty packs and my time... well to hell with that... \

Tbh I feel pretty dead since my study time ate everything. Busy with High School right now but hopefully my friends who are still helping me with this project have prepped something spectacular for you guys. It's been... what, 3 years since creation? ... ugh back to studying I guess :< :< :< :< :< :< @The White Guardian @Nils277

Basically what I have to do when working on a new plannet is make my own handmade terrain map in an image editing software. What follows is putting that into the game on a mock-up planet and playing with terrain modifiers until it looks cool. If I get what I want, I have to export (generate) the textures from the game using a neat modder tool called Kittopia. That takes time and CPU power and generation time is higher for higher resolution textures. Previously 2048 (average quality) was the only thing I could obtain on my old computer. With this new laptop I can actually easily export 4096 (high res) textures at a fraction of the time it used to take on the old computer for 2048!

[1.12.X] Feline Utility Rovers v1.3.4 (28. April 2022)
amarius1 replied to Nils277's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Outstanding mod, my friend! Just using this great creation on my new machine! Hope you can work with me again -
Awesome news man! BTW there is a bug on Shayle that makes the green color go away in PQS. I will try playing with it to see if i can fix it soon. With that I will also refine the terrain a bit since it doesn't seem as natural as for example, Fonso. Telegram is an instant open source messaging service. It's mainly used by Android developers to mantain huge groups of people, it has read-only channels for admins to publish files and what not for users that join... You will like it as soon as you try it. It also requires a phone number to log you in. I will try Discord too though... What username do you have? As a side note, please make the visual FX not dependant on Scatterer. EVE is fine but Scatterer will cause issues for people with slower pc configurations (including me) so I suggest it to be released as a separate add-on like the ones we currently have.

ANNOUNCEMENT! KO DEVELOPMENT RESUMING. I have managed to get a new machine to work that is quite capable of 60fps KSP and modding New machine: I7 2670QM 2.2ghz-3.1ghz boost GT525M+iGPU 8gb RAM 1333mhz DDR3 120gb SSD+500gb HDD What this means, everyone, is that development for Kerbol Origins will soon resume from my side and I will be able to work on the mod from time to time and with the help of @The White Guardian we will make this mod even greater than it perhaps is. Kerbol Origins will not die! :') Texture generation speed has also encreased a lot on new hardware. While on my old desktop height maps and other textures used to take one hour to generate, on this laptop the procedure takes little more than 10 minutes, at 4096 resolution as opposed to the 2048 most KO textures use. PSA: The latest Kerbol Origins is compatible with the latest version of KSP and works as it should. You just need to have the latest Module Manager and Kopernicus. This is a momentous day for Kerbol Origins
