  1. Umm yes? (Sorry my answer is about as generalized as your question)
  2. That's great, I wasn't looking for a fix. Just pointing out that it isn't just KAS pipes that summon the Kraken.
  3. Yes but the kraken isn't just spawned by flexible connections. It can be a result of any large (wide) base with many contact points. I prefer to not tempt fate in either case and keep my bases as disconnected as possible.
  4. It's far cooler on Minmus. Sadly I love the look of a vastly connected base, but they always end up flung into the area. Disconnected logistics FTW.
  5. Well I'm no rocket scientist, but I would first try removing any mods that try and change visuals, like planetshine etc.
  6. @Kobymaru The short answer is I don't. I generally try to keep my bases as disconnected as possible, and I haven't yet found a time I really had to have a ranger and 3.75 Tundra physically connected to each other. Also, where did you get the vibe of the KAS pipes being deprecated?
  7. USI-LS is highly configurable and can be deadly strict. USI-LS "supplies" is more than just oxygen, food, etc and no it is not split out. Link is um right in the OP under the "Is there documentation?" question.
  8. There is a great wiki linked in the OP that should answer most of your questions.
  9. I guess I think in opposite terms. Personally the idea that I could safely ship all of the specialized equipment necessary to fabricate and build everything I would need from scratch is less likely than shipping "IKEA" packaged components that could be assembled onsite. For me off world construction is usually more to deal with odd sized vessels. Ones that while you could maybe rocket into space and land safely, they are easier to launch as a box of parts and then build it onsite. To that end ground construction is perfect.
  10. I am saying that your initial thought is correct. Seat inventory is only present if the part has crewed capacity. In addition it only works to add things in the VAB if a kerbal is present in that seat (as it is not actual storage on the craft). Due to these constraints the whole seat inventory has been a support issue and the current maintainer of KIS has talked about a desire to change how it works. Until that happens the best advice is to put away your tools before entering any vessel to ensure you don't accidentally lose them. You could open a github issue, but given that @RoverDude actually removed seats from deflated parts at one point I doubt he has a desire to add them back.
  11. There isn't really a "solution" other than to just not use this type of KIS storage. It has been talked about in the KIS thread that the seat storage may go bye bye as it is a mess for reasons just like this.
  12. Literally the First sentence of the first post of this thread has a link to the original kethane thread, with plenty of pics and vids.
  13. No problem, although to be fair Firespitter has always been a strict dependency. It wasn't always the case that Roverdude maintained it.
  14. You could start with the release notes. " Bundled the 'Ground Construction' mod as the standard off-world construction mod for USI. "
  15. Well all of the USI mods are pretty much designed to work together so it is a pretty nice fit.
  16. To be fair, it is entirely possible the configs have productivity bumped up so that productivity cannot be zero? I haven't looked at EL configs to know if that is possible. That being said SC command pod productivity factor looks to be set at 4 while EL's workshop is set at 5. But honestly I don't know if higher is better or worse.
  17. @jd284 yea ok I jumped the gun on the video part (misread your post). But any sort of details would be amazing.
  18. This "mod" is just a set of configs that define the various resources.
  19. @jd284 Umm yes please! I have struggled with this engine. I have read the written instructions/tips but a video is worth 10000000 words.
  20. Great info, but doesn't answer the question. There is an EL productivity value based off the skills of the kerbals.
  21. between vessels. But it could go surface to orbit, orbit to orbit, IIRC you could do surface to surface but i think it was sometimes buggy with that.
