  1. Good job, now you've spoiled the most probably way to win this challenge. Now I only have to post the second most possible way and we can be done with the challenge before it even started. INFINIGLIDE! You mean that really OP mod equivalent to mainsail with infinite fuel?
  2. Well why don't you post this AFTER you worked out the math so we can design around it instead of blindly?
  3. This would've been good if we didn't have to hyperedit 20 different crafts into 10 different locations.
  4. What? that's a challenge thread? I didn't know, I thought it was a thread of tutorial objectives.
  5. You didn't say it has to be burnable, neither did you say that the R&D building can't be upgraded, and last but not least, you didn't say we can't use mods that balance or pump fuel or just enable fuel crossfeed.
  6. Sure, and here is my entry: Flight Range: 3240 Landing at KSC: 10 Unassisted takeoff: 20 Craft File: 20 Total: 3740 Yes let us not build our own crafts, in the game where the whole point is to build your own crafts. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ljqum50go71uewa/Point%20Getter%202.craft?dl=0 Here you go, a low tech version with only 29 parts, could've added a science part for more pts but I'm too lazy. My craft is best for the job because it gets the most points.
  7. How can you be at tech 5 and still not have any upgraded buildings in the first place?
  8. Why even have a score system when there is only like 3 possibly scores you can get.
  9. Yea there should be random failures like the Dang it mod, and there should be a reliability system. I am thinking, more part count can result in overall less reliability. So when you start up you can fly rockets without an engineer but later on you can't just do a super jool-5 mission without one.
  10. Finally there is some meaningful progression in career. I played for several hours straight and I have only been able to land on the Mun. Which is kind of a good thing because had it not been restrictions such as building upgrades I would've already beaten the game and unlocked everything two times over. Don't know what the Engineers do, cuz parts don't really break in any way other than exploding except wheels.... But for scientists and pilots now at least there is an incentive to not just abandon them after a failed mission. I just don't really understand how Jeb is stuck in lv.1. I mena yea he haven't been to other planets yet but doesn't the 10 times he's been to LKO count towards experience? Only problem I see here is that reputation is useless. Who needs reputation? You just convert it all into money and science. Unless of course you play hard mode and can't revert failed launches, which sounds like a good challenge after I beat this first run. Great job. Shame to those other so called "Early Access" games that just use the term as an excuse for ....ty project management (*cough* Starbound).
  11. What you said was "land at KSC". Do they land at KSC? Absolutely yes. You also said that they have to either do that by gliding or with their own power. Well since once you touch the ground it no longer counts as "gliding", I'm gonna say you mean before the landing happens it must glide or propel towards the KSC, which is exactly what they do. I see no problems here.
  12. (Got to orbit) 500 pts X1 (Pack it deep)100pts for ever ton of mass space plane 1 delivers to lko orbit. X4.12 (Look ma no hands) 100 pts land completely on a glide slope no power after initial de orbit. X1 ( the scenic route) 200 pts for ever planetary body visited.flybys count X1 (Planeception) Heres where most of your points will come from. And where the challenge gets intresting. The number of total spaceplane you have as measured by me will be that X your (got to orbit score) so entrant number 1has a spaceplane that delivers a spaceplane to orbit. That spaceplane then somewhere along the way releases another spaceplane wich releases another. Plane count x4 so 500 x4 is 2000 pts. I define spaceplane as having at least a single cockpit and bwing able to land at ksc either on its own power or gliding. X6 (each of the 4 small "spaceplane" can glide and land at KSC and in any number of segments) (500+412+100+200)X6 =7272 pts
  13. Where is the challenge? You can do this with a single launch.
  14. nobody is talking about you. we're talking about a certain clearly unbalanced bug engine.
  15. All the stock challenges turn out to be a contest of who can abuse the most OP parts the most. And people think they are "fair".
  16. where is he on the leaderbord? And even if he was able to do it, it's quite boring because it's not done on turbojet power, it's done with gravity or infiniglide.
  17. This is such a boring challenge as it's stupid easy to get to 2300 but impossible to get to 2400.
  18. it's not like the OP will attempt or succeed in any of this.
  19. well that just seems incredibly stupid because no two person would have the same amount of boosters for such large payloads. You'll just end up having 20 different leaderbords each with 1 entry.
  20. The payload is mod, also I think I used B9 fins by accident. Anyway I'm not that interested because I still don't understand what we're supposed to do here. You have 2 levels and 4 challenges, but then you tell us to fulfill the 3 conditions. what three conditions? And what's the point of launching to 100km orbit if we're gonna launch to 500km anyway? why? and how does this scoring work? The person with the most number of seperatrons would clearly win because they have most number of boosters?
