Aluminum really doesn't react because it forms an alumnium oxide protective boundary on itself
-
Not to mention the oxygen atmosphere.

Suggestion for the Here and Now bit - Allow an option to mark transmitted science as complete. I have scanner probes and don't want to be alerted if I don't intend to recover them. Even better would be to mark trasmitted science as complete only if there was 1.) No crew on the vessel and 2.) No science containers on the vessel.

What was that space combat game with three body physics? I think Scott "Hullo" Manley did a video in it.

I wonder if the Borg will make an appearance. Or perhaps Bill is really a Q because of his save file editing powers.

I wonder if the Korg will make an appearance. A lot of EJSA panels. Or perhaps a mis-mash of random craft Kuzz found by running web crawlers for files ending in .craft. Who knows.

The Linux Thread!
waterlubber replied to sal_vager's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
I'm still having the same issues as before with my game loading up as a black screen. If I run --force-glcore it then proceeds to crash my X server Running Debian 8 Jessie with the AMD fglrx drivers -
Regardless of what they say, the Kerbulans will think of it as code, because they don't realize another race could do something related to "science" and not mention the Agonizer

As if I haven't seen airplane a hundred times over already... but the movies have non-redshirts dying, I don't want to be sad! Also, I really should stop watching the episodes before I find one that's 1:1 this comic. They keep getting closer.

So I started watching Star Trek (both TNG and TOS) and now I can get all the references! Going to finish season one of TOS Soon(TM), already finished season one of TNG, not sure where to go next

That's a shame. However, the knowledge of such a planet may change the JWST mission plan in some ways or result in a specially designed telescope. This may be the first planet other than Earth and Mars that humans will land on

Yes, it still exists, it just moved from deep space to wheels and the SAS system in planes

I'm a little spooked by what's been going on with this game... so many people leaving, plus that post on Reddit about the $2,400/yr thing.

Kerbals probably have frog-like membranes that detect sound. Good work so far, keep it up!

The Linux Thread!
waterlubber replied to sal_vager's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
I am also getting the OOM crashes. The small script on the Known Issues page does not work, it still crashes my X server (I get booted back to my login manager) Running Debian 8 Jessie with Openbox and AMD fglrx Catalyst Drivers. Edit: Apparently, this script works: I found it a bit earlier in the thread, posted by @Psycho_zs (Thanks!) Another interesting bug, sometimes the game will load in the background, but with a black screen. When it finishes, music plays, still black screen. -
Roll credits. Of course, the entire time I had this playing in my head

For me on Linux at least, I'm getting VAB crashes, buggy landing gears, random space crashes...etc, etc. It makes the 64 bit Windows version look like professional software. I really hope Squad isn't going the whole "no support for Linux" game, or even worse, not fixing the bugs because they're part of Unity. I've never heard of bugs in, say, Portal going unpatched because they're part of Source.
