  1. Awww! Isn't that adorable. I summon the unholy demons of sarcasm, cynicism and apathy! I connect the next person's computer to an Etherkiller.
  2. I use some healthy, enviromentally-friendly DDT to dissipate the hornets. All the animals are dead and are very angry at the next poster.
  3. The only conceivable disadvantages to mods are an uneven setup among players (CKAN and various tools help alleviate this) and...abominations, such as Skyrim's...horse modifications and the wonderful Scott Manley head pack. (And yes, I did make this post as an excuse to link that. Also, what ever happened to the "no memes" rule?
  4. I see where you're coming from. I shouldn't try to impove anything in my life I don't like it, I should just ignore it. I don't need comfortable clothes, or convienience, or entertainment. If I don't like something, I should just stop using it all together Great idea!Time to throw out all my possesions and live a life of the Amish.I guess you better stop using the forums, then, since they probably were developed by someone who is underpaid. And your computer, too! Those silicon mines are pretty bar to work in. My point is, the "don't use it" argument is stupid. I already bought the game. Not to mention how Felipe was going to develop it on his own anyway and Squad requested he stay.
  5. We know that there's crap going on in third and second-world countries. But we can't do anything about that. Here, we can try to coerce Squad into doing the right thing. Not to mention that this community have kissed up to Squad for a while, thinking that they were a perfect angel that couldn't do anything wrong, and this was a huge wake-up call to the community. These were American developers too, where the cost of living is easily ten times what they were paid.
  6. TextureReplacer might be able to do that. This would be neat.
  7. Oh, wow! I guess I better expedite my updating process (i.e: coercing CKAN into installing stuff it doesn't want to)
  8. In Minmus orbit, at 35km. Same lag no matter where I look, so I'm suspecting it's got to do with a modded part of resource system. I know heat has some lag behind it, I'm waiting for 1.1 to be a bit more stable on Linux as well as my mods updating.
  9. The only post I've seen him make is on this wonderful fantastic mod!
  10. I encountered a 13,000 ton class "B" the other day...what the heck? I built a rocket to try to stop it but it took one minute for every m/s of burn time and it would cost over 4000m/s, so I just HyperEdited it
  11. Most of my framerate seems to be the game refusing to slow down time, for example, I could be at my (rather low?) 150 part station and, while the time remains in the green, my framerate tanks. I'd rather this not happen since I'd prefer a livable 30 or 60 fps than a 1 fps crawl. I think there's a bug in the resource/electrical system that causes lag, or maybe just inefficient handling in that regard.
  12. Odd. Then you're probably right about the shaders, or maybe loading more vertices of the planet into memory/rendering them, since they are spaced farther apart on RSS.
  13. I'd mention the qualities of the game; but include information about the recent scandals. While Squad isn't alone in this, that doesn't make them innocent, and it should be up to the person's ethics and morals to decide whether or not to support Squad. Personally, if I were given the option to re-purchase KSP, I might wait myself given as the developers aren't earning the money they deserve. I only buy games to support the developers, artists, and team of the game, not the owner of the company's private yacht.
  14. Everything I need, except one of the following: -Solar Panels -Probe Core -Batteries -Reaction Wheels -Fuel of the right type What about nearby horizons, such as craters in terrain? Does RT simulate that level of detail?
  15. Very interesting, I'll try it myself and see if I can get some performance improvements. It may also be Claw's stock bug fixes but I'm not sure if they're installed for you or not.
  16. With the exception of confirming it, with an apology, and giving living wages to their employees. I would forgive them. Most people would; we already know what they did.
  17. You should make a ModuleManager patch that adds the Kerbal trait in as a rare thing to occur. It would be something like BadS, probably. Keep up the good work, this is my favorite series. (The part textures look amazing)
  18. If something in game happens that should not happen under normal circumstances (i.e due to physics bugs, etc.) I'll use the debug menu and HyperEdit to fix it. For example, if something gets blown up due to a glitch I'll HyperEdit a new one there.
  19. Here's my entry! 53 minutes, 36 seconds. I'd say that's pretty fast. My top speed was over 1300m/s, and if I let it go I probably could have gotten it up to 1337 m/s, but I was close to the KSC. I could have emptied more fuel, too. Here's the imgur album: Had a lot of fun, thanks
  20. Not timing out, it'll freeze on installing a mod (VesselView in particular) I don't mind the freezes, I can install something manually, it's the deselection of checked mods that gets me
  21. There's an incredibly infurating bug in here for me, when you cancel installation, CKAN will deselect all the mods. With all of the frequent freezes, I spend hours just checking and re-checking the mods I want, and there's no way to skip a mod or cancel an installation without having to re-check all the mods I want. Please, please, fix this. Additionally, occasionally mods will turn red, not sure what that means
