For the vertical ones it's easy, you know what it is. For the horizontal, if they can be used as flaps, they are flaperons, otherwise they are elevons.

[v0.1] MOSOI Ind. MicroFuels (Half-RF, half-stock)
Niemand303 replied to Niemand303's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
1) I won't repeat twice the same arguments, but leave a link to a post with the reasons why it would be better to make stock LF/OX as Kerolox: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/107735-WIP-NearFuels-%28Design-Stage%29?p=1694443&viewfull=1#post1694443 2) I haven't planned to make a monoprop/oxidizer mixture, since hydrazine is basically an hypergolic propellant, thus, this mixture would be HypFuel/HypOx. 3) Methane... Well, I haven't planned it either, but I think after the 1.0 ISRU feature it can be made a mineable resource ("Natural Gas" as a name of it?) and have some engines working on it. But that won't be my top priority. About Russian: only in Russian segment, here we're not allowed to use any languages other than English. Thanks! The LH2 compatibility would be nice, I think I might go with it if the CryoFuel ratio issue couldn't be fixed. For KW: I need to have the basic compatibility, only then I could move on to other mods. -
Moved by request.

Wow! I wish I could give you even more rep! The details of your crafts are amazing once again. Maybe you should have a special thread dedicated to them, so that it won't be tied only to Tantares. I think all of us would love to see more EDIT: the third panel was added only in 1987, after Kvant-1 delivered it, but that's just nitpicking.

Even I, an aeronautical engineer, wasn't that picky. Let's call them "control surfaces"

Oh, I'm gonna test it! But don't expect good results until tomorrow, it's 2 AM here and I'm sleepy.

He-he, I see you made the hatch the same way I did. I was against making wings and fuselage as one part because of my bad experience with lifting bodies. But I hope 1.0 will change that.

Kroyuz N1-L3 Stockalike Sovietic Lunar Lander!
Niemand303 replied to Yukon0009's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I decided to make my own low-part count N-1/L3 complex, inspired by you beauty. 200 parts and 800k funds later: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/113744 -
Hello, everyone! As many of us, I love mods. They make life easier, mostly, and provide a variety of parts. I love to recreate historical missions and it is much easier to do with mods. But we play KSP not because it is easy, but because it is hard. So, that is why I present you komrade Niemand's Integration Facility #1! roll credits I will do historical (and sometimes fictional/cancelled) ships and space stations, so you can fly Soviet style. DOWNLOAD ALL CRAFTS N-1/M3 Kerbiet Munar Komplex! And my first craft is really influenced by Yukon's 100-parts N1L3. My N1L3 has a double partcount, 200 parts exactly, costs 800k funds and features as close to history lander and orbital Soyuz as possible! The first to stages are pretty much enough to get to the Mun (a little overpowered, yeah) LOK seats two with its brand "unmanned two-seater capsule" made with struts, OCTO probe core and two Mk1 pods. LK seats one, has additional batteries on its leg structure. So, have fun! DOWNLOAD Soyuz 7K-OK, Progress and Soyuz launcher This is a relatively low-part early Soyuz copy, featuring the same two-seater capsule and SM, but launched with a Soyuz rocket, which provides enough dV to get the craft to 200x200km orbit, where your Salyut stations should belong. 157 parts, 70k funds and Jeb's approval! DOWNLOAD SOYUZ Progress craft is a Soyuz-derived cargo ferry. 152 parts, 65k funds, 100 fuel units (0.5 tons) as cargo. DOWNLOAD PROGRESS Salyut station series and Proton launcher Another in low-part series, a 168-part (145 of them is the launcher) Salyut-1 with Proton launcher! Solar panels, Soyuz-derived propulsion block, a lab and two antennas included! Launch your own very first space station in style! Contains storage for 240 monoprop units in radial tanks and costs 95k funds! DOWNLOAD SALYUT-1 A Salyut-derived military space station, OPS Almaz is equipped with an observation outpost. The craft consists of 183 parts (145 of them is the launcher), costs 100k funds and is capable to provide habitation to 7 kerbals at a time, though it has only one docking port. Not many photos are presented, because it's a top secret, shhh! DOWNLOAD SALYUT-2/3/5 (OPS ALMAZ) Salyut-4 is an advanced station, containing even a material bay! More Science! More antennas! Bigger panels! 170 parts, 105k funds and lot of fun! DOWNLOAD SALYUT-4 Salyut-6 and Salyut-7 are first second generation stations in the world, famous for setting records of lifetime in orbit. Salyut-6 is 162 parts, Salyut-7 is 169 parts. DOWNLOAD SALYUT-6 DOWNLOAD SALYUT-7 TKS on Proton TKS means Heavy Transport Craft. And it is true. It can carry up to 4 tons (800 units) of fuel as cargo. It is the first craft in the pack to surpass the 200-part-standart with 203 parts and a cost of 128k funds. N.B.: 1) The engines of FCB are mounted against the direction of other engines, so after separation be sure to set control from the docking port; 2) Proton can't carry fully-loaded TKS to orbit, you have 1200 Monoprop in radial tanks to manoeuvre in orbit; 3) Return engines won't send the capsule inside the atmosphere if the orbit is higher than 180x180. DOWNLOAD PPTS + Angara(ish) A pinnacle of modern technologies, the PPTS orbiter and Angara reusable rocket! This is 151 parts craft, which replicates such awesome PPTS features as parachute-assisted powered landing (you can land only on parachutes, but the thrusters reduce greatly the landing speed), heatshield landing legs (alpha feature, may break themselves under weird circumstances). costs only 85k funds and is really high-tech! DOWNLOAD Spiral shuttle below!

Kroyuz N1-L3 Stockalike Sovietic Lunar Lander!
Niemand303 replied to Yukon0009's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
You are the king! Awesome one! Although, I'd go with 1.25 Soyuz on that one, with two Mk1 pods attached radially at flat octo core as 2-seat crew capsule. -

Thanks! Yeah, I know that thing about MiG-105, but I had to use the original program name, since MiG-105 is even less known than Spiral' -
MiG-105 Spiral' photos and other airplane rarities from Monino
Niemand303 replied to Niemand303's topic in The Lounge
Yeah, it's mostly because the Central Air Force museum belongs to Central Armed Forces museum, located inside Moscow. Military representatives don't get there to check what is going on. It was quite sad to see the very first serial Su-27 decaying on the backyard, already without paint, bare yellow. There were plans to put there an Tu-160, but it is impossible, since the Monino Training Center was closed and there are no runways were you can land this kind of planes nearby. Let's hope volunteers will raise more money during the May vacations. -
The access costs only 60 RUR for students, it's approx. 1 USD And now let's go here, or I'll have to issue an infraction to myself for offtop: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/113658

After today's visit I decided that my photos might be useful for reference or for pure interest. Not to offtop in other threads, I decided to make this one and share photos. Spiral' photos are published here: And the others you can see here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/utopiageneral/sets/72157649154459523/ Hope you find the photos useful for your modding purposes and to awaken interest in a less known field of technology!

No, I haven't payed much attention to the M-50, but I have made photos of T-4 instead. The best photos are here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/utopiageneral/ Now, I need to stop self-promotion and stuff.

Beale, the RO RP is merged, so when the next RO version comes out you can definitely delete the configs from the mod folder. Slightly offtop, someone asked for Spiral photos, I took them today (and even petted that beauty, she is so cute!):
