Ok, I got an email from them. -It is an application for a paid position -The sent questionnaire includes asking if they are willing to sign an NDA, and if they play on PC/XBone/PS4 Based on this, it almost certainly is Xbox/PS4 testing.

My first SSTO used 2 Rapiers and 1 NERV. I didn't bring enough oxidizer and fell back down to 55km before achieving orbit. I might try a two RAPIER two NERV sometime. It shouldn't be too hard to achieve orbit (and beyond).

I know it uses SD, I was wondering if you could make the density muliplyer a setting so that we could customize the density, the same way you can customize scale in SD.

Is there any chance you could change it so that the density multiple is a setting? Then I could make 1km Kerbin with 100g gravity

Testing this design on Kerbin is probably impossible, because the design you mentioned will lose all its inertia to drag. In order to properly test it, you'll have to be on Minmus one way or another.

Oh yeah. Since you have Near Future Tech, I would strongly reccomend Kerbal Atomics, but it is practically NECESSARY that you have Community Tech Tree for a half-decent career with NFT.- 26 replies

I this seems fun. I should have plenty of free time this summer. I could potentially host a server. This mod list seems fine to me, and I live in California. If I had one mod recommendation, I'd say KPBS. It's a very good stockalike base mod. Edit: I also think OPM would be great for a space race, but only of everybody has a good enough computer to use it.- 26 replies

I might upload my stock career save later. It's not particularly huge, but it could add a few more destinations if you merge it with another savegame. Notable objects in it: -One or two quite fueled Mainsail boosters in LKO, including one I renamed to "Orbiting Fuel" before decoupling -Probably some debris on/around the Mun -Partially fueled mainsail booster in Minmus orbit -Minmus ISRU base (planted in a very ore-poor location... ), with a Poodle transfer stage on the ground next to it -Probe on Duna -Probe on Ike -Ion probe on Gilly (considering sending it to Moho, has a ton of fuel left) -There might have been a probe on Eve, can't remember -Several bits of debris in high solar orbit -One piece of debris in a very eccentric Jool orbit, unless a gravity assist flung it out at some point -Two random probes in Jool orbit -Probe on Laythe Mostly probes, but the boosters and ISRU base could make good targets.

Like Cairol said, probably when something goes wrong (eve aerocapture without a heatshield) and you manage to still get it right (RCS capture burn that took 30 minutes)

Yesterday, I also messed with the vessel spawning in Vesselmover. I launched a Z-Map from Tylo, but it was a pain to reach orbit. It had plenty of dV, but it had no RCS or reaction wheels. Good thing the first stage used a Swivel engine!

I FINALLY made my first SSTO after 320 hours of KSP. It didn't have a high enough TMR to achieve orbit on the first pass and actually fell back down to ~50km before it came back out, and then it achieved orbit. I then mucked around with Munar gravity assists, which resulted in a large, unplanned explosion due to somebody not telling the Flight Controller that we were on a munar impact trajectory.
