Maybe this should go in mod requests, or science labs, idk But would it be possible to simulate the speed of light. I don't mean FTL ships, but physics. You know, the light from our Sun reaches Earth in eight minutes, so the Sun we see now is actually Sun eight minutes ago. That kind of stuff. Nothing too fancy, ofc, to keep PCs from melting. So when you look at, lets say Eeloo, from Kerbin (Distance roughly 4,25 light minutes (calculated from Eeloo's Semi-major axis and when the planets are on same side of the sun)), Eeloo is actually 4,25 minutes ahead than you see on Kerbin. Your thoughts?

More space stuff would be nice.

[1.1] AFBW v1.7-beta (Joystick & controller mod)
Las-pen replied to nlight's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Doesn't work for me. Neither does restarting the computer anymore Having ThrustMaster USB-joystick. Joystick works with windows and with the game (buttons I have assigned in options) as usual. Even calibrated it couple times. AFBW recognized my XBOX-controller though. But if you unplugged and plugged it back in it didn't anymore, without reboot. -
[0.23] Stockalike parts for useful esthetics
Las-pen replied to TurboNisu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Downloaded this for that landing leg, but fell in love with the whole pack. Also Now I have a folder in my Gamedata named TurboNisu. Makes me giggle every time. -
...which I did, but as I mentioned that just got every Kerbal to wear orange suit. Oh wait! There's folder in default I named "backup" containing the GreenSkull default suit. I'll report back soon Weird thing is that the menu guys (those are affected also, aren't they) are wearing the stock suit. EDIT: removed the backup folder from default. Didn't help. Everyone still dressed in orange. Step by step I did when I installed 1. Downloaded the KSP package 2. Dumped "green skull inc/gamedata/texturereplacer/default" (from the zip) in "gamedata/texturereplacer/default" (in the main folder) AND the "KSP_orange_suit" in "Gamedata/texturereplacer/suits" 3. Threw that yellow striped helmet and gold tinted visor from alternate textures there also (in texturereplacer/suits/ksp_orange_suit, to be specific) 4. @Greenskull.cfg in Gamedata/texturereplacer 5. Emptied the gamedata/texturereplacer/default -folder

Tidal locking satellites
Las-pen replied to Las-pen's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Those could work, if You could set the ship rotation juuusst right. Easier said than done -
Kb-mouse combo. (I have a laptop) Occasionally Thrustmaster joystick if I get it to funktion with the game

-I use HyperEdit regularly -I only play sandbox -I don't use MechJeb -I reeeeeeeeaaaaaallly hate Jebediah Kerman -If I ever install a mod, it has to look as stock as possible. Or have a really good reason why it should be installed. -I don't use FAR/NEAR (have tried. Makes the game unplayable to me) -Calculations, those are for sissies (or those who are good at math) -"Return flight?" You mean "Revert to Hangar?" -"Wait for planets to align to their correct positions before launching interplanetary mission?" Did you mean "Now!" -I actually bought a joystick just to play KSP. It doesn't work properly. I can say I have tried, but I find his accent so annoying it renders them unwatchable to me.

I can never forget (or forgive) Lanley Kerman. I had finally landed on Duna after long perioid of building and testing a colony. First thing that little green ....... did when he got outside was to smash solar panels from the rover I had built for them to get around. But now I'm sticking with my main man Melman Kerman (named him myself though). He's kinda BadS. I even send JBB on orbit around Jool so he could be the default guy. (With Hyperedit of course. They're not worthy for Jool-capable ship)

Kinda Mixed feelings On the other hand it gives you that Star Trek feeling, when you have Captain, Pilot, Medical officer, Chief engineer, and other staff on the ship each assigned to job they fit best. And that XCOM feeling when your most trusted and highly trained Kerbal accidentally slips and falls to his doom. But On the other hand it would depend on the Kerbal you assign to your vessel whether it explodes or not and not the vessel itself.

BROKEN [0.90] TextureReplacer 2.1.2 (20.12.2014)
Las-pen replied to shaw's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
By removing Heads and Suits (for keeping original suits) folders? Are they supposed to be empty, btw. -
BROKEN [0.90] TextureReplacer 2.1.2 (20.12.2014)
Las-pen replied to shaw's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Can I choose which parts of the mod I install and which I leave out. I'd really like to give this a go, but I also like my kerbals as they are, black haired males in white suits (want the visor reflections and golden visor though). -
Saving selected crew after revert to hangar
Las-pen replied to Las-pen's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Yup. That's it. Thank you -
Unlikely, but is it this? There really isn't that many mods that add wheels. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/84102-WIP-PARTS-PLUGIN-0-24-2-Kerbal-Foundries-wheels-anti-grav-repulsors-and-tracks P.s. Maybe this is helpful http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/82341

Any mods that can actually make a Space Station worthwhile?
Las-pen replied to Coga19000's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Between Orbital construction, Colonization and the refuelling and science I can't think any other use for space station. Well... You could always try and weaponise them with orbital bombing and such. Not sure which mod to go for, though -
Kerbal Stuff, an open-source Space Port replacement
Las-pen replied to SirCmpwn's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Instead of cluttering my inbox, could we get a simple popup when mods we have followed have updated. Or ability to turn the email-notification off at least. -
You mean like this? Maybe some mod could add instruments to record such noises. (Since that's the way they do it IRL) P.S. (It's okay. I cried too first time when hearing that. There, there. Its over now.)
-
I have again lost a mod. This mod allowed selected crew to remain on their seats when reverting to space hangar instead of filling them with The Orange Trio. Or maybe it was the mod that randomized which kerbals got in. Or are those the same mod?

Same as every day. Trying to find mods.
