  1. Well, huh. Never even knew that it had a second "n" before. I always pronounced it "Van-a-mode."
  2. Torn a new one? I don't think that anyone here would do that. We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming to all. (Except Regex. He's a Grumpy Spacehippy). I'mma ping @FreeThinker you ya. If I understand correctly, KSPI-E means "KSP Interstellar Extended," and that's his mod, so maybe he can help.
  3. Oy. I remember those days. We had to use cubic struts to flip the engine into place. Not fun.
  4. Congrats? As @RainDreamer said, sleep is not something you gain back in one night. In a Navy study, participants slept for ~12 hours for about 2 weeks to catch up on years-long sleep debts.
  5. @swjr-swis- There are exactly 22530 users on the forums who have over 5 posts. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/search/&type=core_members&page=939&joinedDate=any&group[19]=1&group[15]=1&group[9]=1&group[4]=1&group[20]=1&group[17]=1&group[12]=1&group[11]=1&group[21]=1&group[3]=1&group[6]=1&group[10]=1&group[8]=1&group[18]=1&sortby=member_posts&sortdirection=desc That's 13.6% of the forums. I can't get more specific than that, because of the forum software's limitations, but maybe @KasperVld can help more.
  6. Well, I know that there are some threads that I've subscribed to. You can't do that without an account. Or, they may have had one question to ask, and then left. Or posted once in the "Welcome Aboard" subforum, and then become inactive.
  7. Nope. Let's do this the old-fashioned way, shall we? Adsii1970?
  8. Yup, and I guess that I'll have to be the second one that answers. Let's say that 95% of the forum members are inactive. That doesn't seem too high, does it? I mean, I recognize you, and a bunch of other posters. I don't think that we'd be able to do that if more than 8293.25 members were active. In fact, even that seems too high. Granted, I don't check out the international subforums or the science and spaceflight that often, but I don't think that there are ~8.3k active users. But for argument's sake, let's say that there are 8294 members who actively post and visit the forums (actively meaning within the past month). As you know, KSP has been a PC, Mac, or Linux game for a lot longer than it's been on console. So let's say that of the total active members, 10% are console users (again, I think that's a bit high). That makes 830. There were 578 people who entered. I'd imagine that, ohh, 25% of them also have KSP on a computer, and joined that way first. 578 * .75 = ~434. 434/830 = 0.52289156626, or ~52%. That sounds fairly reasonable to me. You thoughts?
  9. I think that's mostly OK, but there might have been a asteroid that you needed to install, or rendezvous with a stock one.
  10. My tip? Don't smoke. Either that, or Cow tipping. Your choice. Welcome aboard, though! I suggest checking out the Gameplay Help and Tutorials subforums.
  11. Or, and hear me out... 10km Marathon Swim. Say, to the island airfield and back. Any takers?
  12. Try nerfing the engines. Still, nice plane. Lots of work.
  13. Do it, man! I'm working on getting my computer set up, but as soon as I have one I'm gonna start on this. You've got some good competition here, both stock and modded. IIRC, the competition ends 30 days after the launch. The window is from September to October, but you'll want to check with @IonStorm about that.
  14. It looks good and all. Nice work! One question- is it as underpowered as the real thing?
  15. you can see everything from Baldy. And since you had your poem/song, I've got mine. Silver on the sage, Starlit skies above, Aspen-covered hills, Country that I love. Philmont, here's to thee, Scouting Paradise, Out in God's Country, Tonight. Wind on whispering pines, Eagles soaring, Purple mountains rise, against an azure sky. Philmont, here's to thee, Scouting Paradise, Out in God's Country, Tonight.
  16. As opposed to predictions about the past, which are much easier to get right.
  17. Do RO. It's my favorite right now, because it's between Orbiter and KSP. You should be able to do it, and from what I've heard, it's running really well right now.
  18. @TheKosanianMethod Way to go! I recommend checking out @Endersmens' Boy Scout thread, too. My trek did Baldy before it started to rain. There was SO much cloud cover all around, but we still had good visibility. We saw rainstorms about 30 miles away. It was awesome, in the original sense of the word.
  19. What does "Math puzzles and stuff" have to do with priming? https://www.psychologytoday.com/basics/priming
  20. And just between you and me, I've got over 1000 hours in this game, but I still haven't designed and flown my own interplanetary mission. Welcome aboard!
  21. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Kerbal Space Program Forums. When you say something's "Out of this world!" you'd better mean it!
