Hello, @polytechnique, and welcome aboard! I came to the forums because I was looking up Apollo 11, and I saw @Mulbin's Munbug XI. Stayed for the people. Great name, BTW.

But if they have nuke engines, as mentioned above, then they can burn prograde/radially to get there faster, and then use the gravity assist, or even aerobrake if they need to.

This Day in Spaceflight History
Dman979 replied to The Raging Sandwich's topic in Science & Spaceflight
If you want to keep this thing going, I suggest limiting yourself to one fact per day. -
Ok, Kuzzter, nice work, foreshadowing, etc, etc, etc. But why is Sarge making the beeping noises himself? Is it because it's fun? Or is he compensating for the lack of a transmission system on the rover? And Oh, Crap! That's the Joolian system in the background of the Kerbulan ship!

May I recommend Cajohn's Trinidad Moruga Scorpion? It's good for forging steel, among other things. Each other, potentially. If they live on a planet where individual competition leads to personal advancement, then it's conceivable that they would want each other out of the way. And besides, I haven't seen a single instance of friendship among them so far.

Nope. It doesn't delete more than one, as you can see below. I had 3 originally.

Ok, @KasperVld you've added these horizontal lines. Now how do we get rid of them?

Hi everyone, It looks like the "following users" has been wiped out. I don't know why, and I don't know if it will be fixed by @KasperVld, but there is a simple fix to get back where you were before. Go to the profile of a user you were following, and click the "follow user" button. I hope that it gets restored to pre-wipe status, but this should work for now.

Control Surfaces are acting in opposites
Dman979 replied to Diamond's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Does the same thing happen when you do the horizontal axis? If not, it might be that you've checked the "Axis inverted" box.- 5 replies

Not according to Black's Law Dictionary, I think: http://thelawdictionary.org/vandalism/ If it was intended to be a permanent modification, then he or she might run into some trouble. I think that in this instance, though, it's just a piece of paper. Also, no judge would reasonably rule against a teenager putting a sign on their room's door.

New NASA mission patch featuring comic book character
Dman979 replied to RainDreamer's topic in The Lounge
You mean like from Lord of the Rings? -
Legally, you can put that sign there. But that doesn't mean that anyone has to follow it, unless you sue them for it. And let's be honest, you're not going to sue over $50 USD. If you did, though, I guess you'd get your answer.

Welcome aboard, @Massive Tempah! It seems like you have hit KSP's notorious learning curve. I suggest you try to go to Minmus next, and ignore the Kerbin samples. IIRC, you can go to map view and "set navigation" to a particular place where a contract wants you to go. If the contract system seems too hard, try starting a game in Science mode. It's almost the same, except you don't have to worry about funds anymore, and you can go wherever you'd like. Finally, I recommend that you check out the Gameplay Questions and Tutorials subforums. They can help you with almost any question you want to know.

Looking for some in-person tuition (in Glasgow)
Dman979 replied to Muzietto's topic in Welcome Aboard
at the minimum, privacy, at the maximum, my life, in between, money. Even in a nice community like this, there will still be people who might want to find out who you are and use that information for their own purposes. -
Exactly, and since they're add-ons, if you don't like them then you don't have to add them. As for incorporating them into the game, they did that with the C7 parts, and the SP+ mod. I don't know what else they'll be adding, but I am interested.

Welcome aboard, @shuggaloaf! I started playing a ways back, too. The game has really changed, ain't it? I agree, the modding community has had a big part in helping make this game what it is. Squad was very smart to allow mods, and to build a website to host them.

Hello @PsychoRolla, and welcome aboard! KSP had been in Early Access for a long time, but with the changes implemented since .90, you could almost say it's a new game. Welcome aboard!

One thing I noticed in a different post is that the console seems to be running a version of KSP that is not 1.1.3. This might be where some of your bugs are coming from. I'd imagine that most of them can be fixed as soon as the consoles update to 1.1.3. This might be delayed, though, because of the console certification process.

Way to go! Me too. I remember that my cheeks hurt for a good half hour afterwards, because I was smiling too much.

I can make a compass using a magnet, a needle, paper, and a bowl of water, but that's about it.
