  1. @Snark, you might want to check out the TAC Self-destruct mod. Hope that helps!
  2. It's right there. here's the link, but it was a picture. is it not loading for you? http://imgur.com/gAHu6eU
  3. One of the better replicas I've seen of this. It can fly without hacks, that's a big plus.
  4. @DuoDex Don't you mean "... usually we speak English elsewhere." But anyway, @Knes, welcome aboard! I don't speak french, but I can understand it with Google translate.
  5. Hi @notsodeadjeb, and welcome aboard! I think that you might want to consider the limitations of jet engines. While they have a high in-atmosphere Isp, their space performance is horrible, mainly because of the amount of Air they consume. I think that people will want to see your submission before attempting to try this themselves. Good luck!
  6. The planet shook with rage and violently enforced its sphere of influence To be or not to be:_________ is the ___________.
  7. I think that this is perhaps the best LM I've seen so far. One minor quibble about the name- Lunur Excursion Module was the original name for the craft, but NASA changed it to Lunar Module because they don't like good-sounding acronyms.
  8. Ok, sounds good. @WellItExplodedAgain wanted to be EECOM, so I'll add him to the PM stream.
  9. Well, having the kerbal die only 100 meters from the ocean would be not amazing. Besides, we want to get mass to a minimum, so calculations galore.
  10. Well, almost. We can't plan that precisely, but if we give 30 minutes leeway I think that's good enough for government work, in case something goes wrong. I think it'll be pretty accurate anyway, because we'll calculate the flight plan and burn times way ahead of schedule, and then recheck them over and over.
  11. No, I don't. Reminder? Also, which role would you be interested in? We have EECOM and FAO available. EECOM needs to calculate life-support and related things, which is a very important role that we're missing.
  12. I'm running a Mac, too, but it's sssssllllllloooooowwww. If you decide to join, you wouldn't need to run KSP during the launches. You would need a web browser, an internet connection, skype, a graphing calculator, paper and pen, and basic math skills for in-flight calculations.
  13. I think that PMs might work better, so we can have a record of what were saying.
  14. I don't think you'll need the service module, it's just something which could go wrong. If you made an SRB retropack, with at least 2 (probably 3) small Procedural SRBs, we could probably run for the mission time on internal power and supplies. Also, if you make sure that each SRB fires through the COM, we won't have to worry about loss of orientation, only an offset thrust vector if one fails to fire. Because we're using Test Flight, I want to keep the amount of mission-critical parts to a minimum. I also think that this should be a shorter mission, so maybe 6 orbits + launch+ time it takes to get from the orbit tracking point to the deorbit burn+ reentry. @ZooNamedGames, I think we'll also need an EECOM for this mission, to keep track of consumables. @legoclone09, you might need to work with him or her to make sure that we can fit enough supplies in, and to get you the spacecraft's mass at the deorbit burn. Plan on giving it ~400m/s when nearly empty? We should make a PM for us to work on the capsule without hijacking this thread or pinging the other members too much.
  15. You're right, and competition sounds too roleplayey anyway. We can both look to each other for ideas and inspiration, and who knows, even check designs!
  16. Well, this will be interesting. It's good to have some friendly competition!
  17. Ok. Once we have that I'll mate it to a booster for prelaunch calculations and checks.
  18. I agree, so long as he wants to be a part of this project. It's all up to you now, Nathan!
  19. That one is closest to what I was thinking. The last change would be to leave the logo where it is and move the title to the right border.
