I hope that's not a HypeTruckâ„¢, loading up the 1.1 Hype Trainâ„¢ with Hypeâ„¢, or we'll have a long wait... In 1.04, I made a geosynchronous comm-sat in Realism Overhaul, and got it to an orbital period of 23 hr, 57 min, 52 seconds.

Welcome, Mack "Speedy Gonzales" Turtle! It's a clever name, no matter what band used it. KSP is the most entertaining piece of software I've bought in 18 years (though I was too you to understand "software" for most of them). Props to you for catching an asteroid, I still haven't done that yet. I'm not sure how you could build a station around an asteroid without at least one Klaw. But again, props for trying. Finally, major props for being my dad's age and playing KSP. Space: it's not just for teenagers/twentysomethings anymore.

No, they don't, and a Sat bus, two solar panels, 8 communotron 16s, and 3 communotron-88's don't, either: it's the decoupler, struts, fairing, two fuel tanks, LOX and LH2, and RL-10 that do. It has ~3,000 ∆V, weighs slightly more the 9,000 kg. It could even have more, depending on the launcher. I'm trying to make one for Geostationary orbit.

It is a valid revert. Not the second time something like this has happened to the positives, either- there was a round where they kept getting reverted when they reached 90.

Calculating by hand would be impractical. I would imagine that you would first calculate an ideal path for the rocket to take, based on the characteristics of the launch vehicle and mission scenario, and would plan out the burns needed for that trajectory, based on everything being ideal. Then, when we launch, you would inform us of the burn characteristics (such as ∆V, amount prograde/retro, Radial/antiradial, normal/antinormal, when on MET the burns are, duration, which engine to use (when we have a choice between the SPS and RCS), when to start burn, when to end), and plot it ideally on the map. After each burn, you would update the trajectory to reflect reality, and if necessary plot any more burns to get back on course. The tools you would use are up to you, but hand calculations (while realistic) might take too much time. So, to sum up- calculate an ideal flight from Liftoff to splashdown, and then plot burns to match the trajectory, and burns to correct as needed. That's how I understood it, at least for trajectories. The other part would be to make sure that the craft is pointing the correct direction. But ZNG can provide a better explanation. Also, I'm making a spreadsheet with the different launch vehicles, their motors, burn times, stages, etc. That's my job, right?
