I'm trying to get the RO/FASA SI-B to orbit. It's hard! I need an flight profile, the one on Wikipedia is not cutting it for me. Help?

Welcome! I too like to plane, but I'm trying to get back into launching rockets. Never been outside Kerbin's SOI, though.

How Close are YOU to Your Next Reputation Rank?
Dman979 replied to michaelsteele3's topic in Kerbal Network
I am the 268th most repped person on the forums, with 55 rep til my next rank. As of this post, I also happen to be the 510th most prolific poster on the forums. -
My hand is firmly raised, even though I saw it on a Mac.

Hmm, that doesn't look like the mun to me. Also, I think that you're launching the wrong way, you want to launch to the 90 degrees marker, not the 270. But Welcome!

Or checking the rules to see if any have been broken and you can revert posts.

I learned that it only takes 3 mins, 30 secs to read all three pages of my 10 minute speech. May just change it to a 8 minute speech and talk slower.

I learned that a good wingman is of more than a little help when dealing with the opposite gender.

So, do you run the engines continuously, or just in boosts? Also, can you let us know where everyone is, again? I've forgotten.

Welcome! You're not snacks? *puts back down.* It is good that you can discipline yourself to not play too much KSP in High School. I speak from experience and my 4th period study hall. Have fun here!

The RCS Thruster Challenge
Dman979 replied to littlebuddy0's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Have you considered adding a points system to the challenge? I might try it that way. I think that your idea is a good one. -
I found this! :0.0::0.0:

Hi! Yup, it's always easier to favorite threads. You can also post to ask new questions, too! Welcome aboard!

Granted. Your bike shop goes bankrupt, and you watch in horror as Orville and Wilbur buy both it and your flying machine from you. I wish that both my puppy dogs were still alive and healthy.

Anything can be rocket fuel, if you try hard enough?
Dman979 replied to Dman979's topic in Science & Spaceflight
So from what I just read, anything can be rocket fuel? Awesome! *Grabs leftover mashed poatoes, toothpaste, water, and F1 Engine) -
Anything can be rocket fuel, if you try hard enough?
Dman979 posted a topic in Science & Spaceflight
I was joking originally, but I wonder if what I said in this post is true: can anything be rocket fuel, if you try hard enough? I think that LOX makes things burn, but is it possible to launch a rocket with, say, leftover mashed potatoes and LOX? Or to use apples to go suborbital? A few caveats: "fuels" shouldn't be chemically changed before ignition. So you can't ferment apples, take the alcohol, and burn it. You must burn the apples. -
Well, you could pour LF/O into a backpack. But it wouldn't work very well. Know what happens when you don't screw on the top to a fuel bottle correctly? Imagine that, but more. If you put it in a bottle, like above, it might work. Kerosene is stable at room temps, we use it on camping trips to light lanterns. (How it was used before Herr Von Braun.) As for the LOX, IDK how you'd store it.

Oh! You changed your avatar! And yes, I think they can. Not for very long, though. Anything can be rocket fuel, if you try hard enough!

Granted. You get drilled instead. I wish I had two puppy dogs.

I have a newer '65, and my friend from Scouts has the same model, but older. It looked like the same kind you had. Can the old ones store LFO?

Granted. Polan, however, still cannot into space. I wish my pet dog was still alive.

I can't paste it here. It's 930784 characters. It's a picture of a mac folder. I don't know where this came from.
