  1. What would that add to gameplay exactly? You can control both death and supply time (number of days without supplies) now. If 15 days is too short you could up that to 30 and set death=true. I'm not sure exactly how your proposal is different from this from a gameplay standpoint.
  2. From the first post: Instructions TCA availability and interface: TCA becomes available if two conditions are met: the vessel has engines (excluding RCS thrusters) and, in career mode, the "Throttle Controlled Avionics Subsystem" is purchased in the R&D bulding. Note, that TCA is a software, so you don't need any special part to be installed on a vessel: all vessels with engines are upgraded automatically with TCA.
  3. I thought that might be the case. I've seen several posts where Norton is quarantining dlls solely because they are not frequently downloaded or from a large software company. If you take a look in the tweak scale thread you'll see some people had that problem.
  4. What if you were to add the settings to the Space Center the way a lot of other mods due their housekeeping settings, like TAC-LS, FAR, etc. That way you won't have to look at it every you do an EVA, surface sample, etc.
  5. Try the "detach" option in the Winch GUI. The GUI can be opened by right clicking the winch and selecting the right option or by pressing "p". I've only used the grappling hook but I think the functionality is similar.
  6. It hangs most likely because: 1) you are running out of RAM (KSP WIN and Mac are limited to roughly 3.2-3.6 GB) or 2) your install is messed up (this could be a result of user error, CKAN, or Norton anti-virus). Regardless, the fault does not lie with IR.
  7. Look in the settings file. I believe that is where the keys are designated. If not look at the KIS wiki on github.
  8. Just a heads up. Mods throwing exceptions can break other mods. Sometimes exceptions are harmless. Other times exceptions prevent mods from working. The goal is to have no exceptions on load (not always possible) and as few as possible during gameplay. From what pellinor flagged you have a borked FAR install. That is no bueno.
  9. Stock fuel lines (yellow)? No. You need to use the connectors in KAS.
  10. Try the method in the video 7 posts above/below your post. The decoupler is no longer strictly necessary as you can now detach parts with children in KIS.
  11. That mod already exists. Check out Filter Extensions. You can customize it however you want.
  12. have you tried watching a video to make sure you are doing it right? Try this one. https://youtu.be/PewYSK1Ix3A Also are you using an engineer? Is the tool equipped?
  13. The answer is Hyperedit. Put an engineer in a pod. Put a screwdriver in the pod. Launch. Use the orbit editor in Hyperedit. Select rendezvous. Select your target. Enter a value of .2 and hit apply.
  14. It's unclear what the problem is at 2 and 7. Maybe try reading the manual. These sound like things KIS can do if done right. You need the screwdriver for stack attach and you can carry the connector port in the kerbal's inventory.
  15. My understanding is that stock aero makes different assumptions depending on state. At high speeds it assumes swept wings regardless of actual shape and at slow speeds it assumes the opposite.
  16. Yeah it looks like you can replace FreeEva, Tweakable Everything's EVA stuff, plus get a NavBall, and precision control with capslock.
  17. Is the Antenna on the affected station attached to a service bay/cargo bay? If so that's a known problem with stock. Sometimes stock registers radially attached parts to service bays as stowed and the only solution is not to do that or open the service/cargo bay.
  18. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/100798-1-0-2-Alcubierre-Warp-Drive-%28Stand-alone%29-v0-2-1-2015-05-15?p=2096397&viewfull=1#post2096397
  19. Awesome. Proper EVA control has been sorely lacking in this game. The lack of precision control is mind-blowing.
  20. You are probably to close to the planet. You have to be a certain distance (varies based on planet size) away for warp drive to operate.
  21. The idea behind CTT is to to have a shared tech tree for all. So creation of tech nodes is frowned upon because it breaks the community aspect. If you think additional nodes are needed I'm sure Nertea, Rover Dude, and the other contributors would be willing to oblige all reasonable requests. That said there are alreadly a lot of extra nodes so you probably don't need more. Here's a slightly out of date visual layout of CTT. https://www.gliffy.com/go/publish/7941469
  22. No problem. Sorry if my first post was cryptic. I didn't want to cause offense to a long time player who just created a forum account.
  23. Thanks. I tried that and ran into the can't grab a ROOT part issue. I plugged the connector as undocked which was probably my problem. I just started playing with orbital assembly and have not yet worked out the fine points of ship building to avoid parent/child issues when using KIS. Good to know that it is possible. I'll try harder next time.
