I really need something to let me use external command seats and place kerbals from the VAB/SPH, for many reasons. 1. It's just functionality I expect. 2. Rovers, I'm sick of putting these stupid rigs with command pods that make it harder to edit them(have to remove the whole thing to check CoM etc, for example), destroy the smallest ones, and waste time. I know TouTorpedo made a mod like that, but as far as I know it is years old and doesn't serve a function anymore. Can someone make a new mod to fix this? It would make my life so much easier(hard to make ATV's for awesome sci-fi warfare if they need a pod 4 times their size stuck to them).

[0.90] Procedural Parts Extended 1.0 - 77 Industries
Solarspaceprobe replied to Azimech's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don't know, I can't see this being useful enough to warrant the RAM(because using mods is a teetering balance of RAM space). -
Alright, just checking on tweakscale, thanks!
-
I would like to make some craft, but I have a few questions. Is tweakscale allowed? Do you need any aircraft or spaceplanes as well? Should the craft be capable of reaching orbit alone? Also, I'm trying to make my own series which I might call a few things: "Angle of Attack" or something similar. There will be 3 factions, the Alliance, the Rebellion, and some rouge AI's(Drone or The Calculation, maybe). Any movie tips for a totally clueless person? ---------------Update----------------- Got a fictional company thought up(I pretty much have unused concepts lying around), working on details. I have a few designs for a lightweight ion fighter too.

Kerbal job/rank in name
Solarspaceprobe replied to Vorg's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Well, space programs have historically been linked to the military. Ranks like Commander exist, though in completely different uses. Oh, and my Kerbals are chaotically invading space with giant weapons. -
[0.90] K6M8 1.25m Inline Cockpit + Custom IVA.
Solarspaceprobe replied to CoffeeSE's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey, I love War Thunder! Way better than the World of Tanks/Warplanes. WoT/WoWP promised combination of the games, but they just meant a unified client download. Then War Thunder came along and promised to do everything WoT did wrong, RIGHT. Some games, like War Thunder and KSP, are just so amazing it's hard to believe the old alternatives haven't been abandoned(though a youtuber can lose a lot of subs from doing a World of Warplanes video now). Keep up the WWII cockpits! -
Sounds hard, but it could be done in theory, I'd think it would be cool, even if a few more normal capsules would be good too, maybe a few more inline 1m(and at least 1 2m?) spaceplane cockpits?
-
Well, as far as I can tell there is no problem at all with the launch clamps. Sticking clamps on things is a very "Kerbal" solution anyways, sturdy, but almost makeshift. You COULD make a scaffolding-like larger launch clamps that would look better on the huge craft, but it's not a solution in demand.

Any perormance enchancement mod for x32 0.90 KSP?
Solarspaceprobe replied to Coga19000's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I do hope Squad has a plan for memory, when the game is released and on people will expect more from it. Very bold thing to do to call the game "finished", even if development will continue indefinitely. -
I notice that we have aerodynamic, and even buoyancy mods, but there should be a thermal mechanics mod, allowing more detail and possibly becoming a platform for other modders. For example, I want to make a flamethrower out of a mainsail engine(been messing with the CFGs, it's fun), but I have NO IDEA how the heat mechanics work because they're so elusive and ignored. I think improving heat mechanics would allow more flexibility(at the very least, someone could explain the stock values in detail).

[WIP] KerbolQuest- Jetpacks Beta
Solarspaceprobe replied to Cheebsta's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Soon what's coming? Also, x86 would probably be a better thing to inform people of, since 32-bit is the stable and supported version. -
Thank you for making this mod, it's amazing and really should be integrated into KSP. It simply saves so much power, I love it. Thank you for giving the community such an amazing tool! - - - Updated - - - I'm so stupid, I installed x64 because it's less than 86, and I thought: "Oh, then...which is for 32-bit KSP? I'm guessing lower number." WRONG. x86 is 32 bit. Darn it.
-
Oh, thanks! Been waiting because last time I tried using the custom engine...well, it started fine, then the plane went crazy and warped into deep space faster than light. The altitude counter was so high the units were...well, I didn't know KSP had units like that. I don't know why it does either. It should just say "YOU ARE RIDICULOUSLY FAR FROM THE SUN NOW. I'M GOING ON STRIKE," or something. It could've been something else of course, I use a lot of mods.

Update the pictures again? They all expired or something.
