  1. There's Minor Planets Expansion that adds both inner and outer minor planets.
  2. If the problems I addressed here have be fixed so that asteroids work better*, I probably will update the configs. It's not that the current configs won't work, but it's because I couldn't really do what I wanted to do with asteroids because of the bugs. I had to make some compromises to work around the bugs, settling for something that worked instead of exactly what I wanted. * Specifically the things we already talked about - spawn group limits and probability.
  3. I haven't used a Tylo template in years because it was always buggy. The thing that I noticed about it the last time I used it is that I couldn't change terrain textures (i.e. PQS/Material). I would attempt to use custom textures and it just kept giving me the same built-in stock textures.
  4. The instructions have always said that it goes in the root PART node. From SolarPanels.cfg: People who put it in the MODULE node apparently (1) don't read instructions, and (2) don't test.
  5. The problem is that Tarsiss is using Laythe's ocean texture, which has color built into it. There's nothing I can do to fix it using configs only. We either need to make our own water texture that matches the scaled space color, or we need to change the scaled space color map to match the water texture. In either case it requires new or modified textures, and that's not something I really want to do. I prefer to leave any texture work to Galileo, and he hasn't shown any interest in KSP for months. You can try this patch, which I think improves it some. The near color it still different from the far color, but I tried to blend the transition a little better.
  6. I'm certain the blue-white color is intended because that's what's in the color map. I need to ask, do you have Kittopia Tech installed? Kittopia has been know to alter the color of oceans. If so, uninstall it a try again. If the oceans are still too blue, I can look into it.
  7. That's the idea. The scale of JNSQ is intended to make the game a bit more challenging and lifelike, but without the need to modify parts.
  8. Yes, it comes with the main pack, inside the folder "Optional Mods".
  9. The vast majority of rocks on Niven are just general ground scatter that you can't pick up. The Niven stones are far more rare and look a little different than the common rocks. If you find one, you should be able to pick it up. However, I just tested it and I found it very difficult to maneuver my kerbal into a position next to the stone in which the "Pickup Niven Stone" option appears. Proper positioning was very sensitive and unforgiving. When I could get the option to appear, moving just a tiny bit would cause it to disappear. It was very frustrating. Your problem might be that you are just not close enough to the stone or in the right position. But it is possible to pick it up if you can get the option to appear in the menu. This seems to me to be more of a general KSP issue than a GPP bug. Regarding your second issue, I have no particular insight as to what the problem might be.
  10. That looks more likely to be Mun, but I'm not really sure. Even with Minmus moved closer to Kerbin, its apparent angular size is still smaller than Mun. But neither moon should cause a total eclipse, at least not according to the numbers. Even under the most ideal circumstances, Mun's diameter should never appear more than 0.98 times the Sun, or 0.95 with Principia. While Minmus' apparent diameter is never more than 0.25 times the Sun normally, or 0.63 with Principia. Some people might be surprised to hear that this is true in stock KSP as well. The stock moon is never more than 0.91 times the apparent diameter of the Sun. So theoretically we should never see total eclipses, only annular ones. But I'm not sure if that's really the way it is in game. If total eclipses are visible in game, then it could be that KSP doesn't render things accurately. It also depends on how you define a "total" eclipse. If you want a moon to totally cover the disc of the Sun, then it may not happen. But if you want a moon to snuff out the bright sun flare surrounding the Sun, then it needs not totally cover the disc. The sun flare disappears when the Sun's center is covered. So that will happen even if the moon's diameter is insufficient to completely cover the disc.
  11. JNSQ works with Principia, though with a few modifications to stabilize the orbits. Minmus' orbit is moved inside that of Mun and it becomes tidally locked. Mun's orbit is slightly modified, though hardly enough to make a difference. And Bop's orbit becomes retrograde. I've only tested JNSQ with Principia to assure it works, I've never actually played the game with it. So I can't tell you anything about how it is play-wise.
  12. @caipi, is there any particular reason you have KittopiaTech installed? That's tool used by part modders that serves no purpose whatsoever for the general KSP user. Unless you are actually using it, I don't recommend having it installed. It's been know to mess some stuff up on occasions.
  13. There no way in game to obtain the orbital elements of a celestial body. All you can is take a snapshot in time and get the altitude and velocity.
  14. It shouldn't require updating. Sigma Dimensions hasn't done anything to change its syntax, so there's no reason the Rescale configs won't still work with it.
  15. Something's not making sense here, because the mod you link to is called RSSVE, but everything in the log references RVE. Are you sure what you linked to is what you have installed? Maybe you should delete and reinstall. Also seeing your ModuleManager.ConfigCache would be helpful.
  16. This looks to be the problem to me. It can't find the textures. (edit) Then maybe not. It seems that error only occurs for Venus and not the other planets. There is no references to RSSVE in the logs All the logs refer to RVE. It would be helpful if you could link us directly to the download page of whatever mod you are using so we can be sure we're looking at the correct version.
  17. Ciro orbits Kerbol and Grannus orbits Ciro. This post explains all the possible combinations:
  18. I forgot about MPE. Yes, that works with GPP and GEP as well. Depending on the specific installation, orbits of some of the MPE bodies may be modified to assure there are no interferences. Here's a GPP Kerbalism config that we wrote about three years ago. I'm not sure if it still works. If not, maybe you can tweak it and get it working. Kerbalism may pick up support for GPP and GEP in a future release. https://www.dropbox.com/s/70rlbjbox4k94z3/GPP_Kerbalism.cfg?dl=0
  19. You can do OPM + GPP + GPP_Secondary + GEP. (GPP_Secondary comes with GPP under Optional Mods). That'll add the OPM planets to the stock system, add Ciro and its planets as a secondary star system, and add Grannus and its planets as a tertiary star system.
  20. You can use physics time warp by pressing ALT + . That's only 4x at most but it's better than waiting the full time. There's no way to go faster than that as far as I know.
  21. The angular size of Mun in JNSQ as seen from Kerbin is just about the same angular size as our real life moon as seen from Earth. I think you'd be surprised how small our real moon really is. From arm's length, the apparent size of the moon is only about half the width of the tip of your little finger.
