I'm rather puzzled by what I'm seeing in the log file. It's unable to compile most of the cameras, due to missing shaders, etc. Since I know it works normally, it must be another mod changing some of the part files. This is way outside the mod, but if you post the ModuleManager.ConfigCache, I'll take a look to see if there are any clues

None of the parts in HullcamVDS references any Squad part file, texture, etc

Sounds like you don't have it installed properly, if at all. Please provide a log file

Try BetterTimeWarp, its been updated for KSP 1.8 @westamastaflash if you don’t have time right now, I could rebuild it for you as a semi-official release, like I did before. Let me know
