  1. Version 1.3 is up, which adds 7 new parts to replicate the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft: Nosecone, Capsule, Heatshield, Trunk, Coupler, Solar Panel, and Shroud. Textures for all parts have been tweaked, most noticeably with the Atratus texture. PartVariant modules have been added to the new Dragon-style Trunk and Shroud as well as the "Moore" Booster to allow users to remove the blue bird logos from the parts.
  2. Streaming would be fine, even uploading to YouTube would be fine but you wouldn’t be able to monetize the videos.
  3. From that description, it sounds like something a little different called dynamic score or dynamic layering. The idea that multiple tracks are composed with the same beat/tempo/format so depending on where you are, it will seamless fade into new tracks. One of my favorite examples of this is Grant Kirkhope's scores to the Banjo Kazooie games!
  4. That's an interesting point.. There is a way to "procedurally" create music, using modular synthesizers or restricting a random MIDI modifier, although I can't imagine a way it could be implemented in a game. Side note, if that sounds interesting to you, Ólafur Arnalds has an album called re:member that uses three pianos - one played by Ólafur and two that semi-randomly generate MIDI notes based off of what he plays and then uses a mechanism that physically plays those notes on the other two pianos. In any case, I appreciate the compliments and the support!
  5. Thanks so much for your help, I appreciate it. I'm uploading to a GitHub right now, I think I have it figured out. We'll see! Okay, I have updated the OP with a download link to GitHub, hopefully I did that correctly and it works! Let me know!
  6. That’s a bummer, I composed it specifically to try to avoid strong melodies or other repeatable phrases that would get annoying after several listens, and there is over two hours of music so I was hoping the sheer variety would help alleviate any of that “Idk, I don’t want to hear the same song over and over again.” I do appreciate that you liked the music, however. As far as the errors go, I will be re-uploading it to Spacedock and finding a mirror or two to also upload it to. I appreciate everyone’s investigative work here to try to track down the error. I was sorta praying it was a Spacedock error, since my trouble shooting / coding skills are extremely limited and wasn’t sure what I could besides try again, lol
  7. As stated at the bottom of the OP, selected tracks (16 of them) will be available for streaming soon (couple weeks or so) so people will be able to “audition” it then. That’s an odd error, I downloaded and unzipped it when I uploaded it to verify it. I’ll repackage and reupload tomorrow and see if that fixes it.
  8. Partly because I was sick of that style of music and partly because I can't compose in that style to save my life I'm much more of a dramatic/tension/soundscape composer.
  9. Hello, everyone! I'm very excited to release this. Thanks to @linuxgurugamer and @pizzaoverhead, I was able to create almost an entirely new soundtrack to Kerbal Space Program. I'll give a little bit of background about myself later, but here's what's included in the download. Description Over two hours of original music, composed and mixed by myself - inspired by Kerbal Space Program. There are specific songs for in and out of atmosphere on different worlds, specific songs for construction or space, specific songs for the influence of different bodies, and re-orchestrated and recorded/mixed a new version of the opening titles, using my composing software and libraries. The tone of music here is not stockalike. More about that below. What's Required In order to hear all this music, you need to have Soundtrack Editor Forked installed, along with its dependencies: Click Through Blocker, Toolbar Controller, and SpaceTux Library. These are not included in the download file here. You must get them on your own. Technical Details This adds a significant amount of music to the game, with songs ranging from 2 minutes to 6 minutes long. Expect a little bit of a hiccup every now and then when a new song is loading. Each song is exported as an .OGG file to try to help with compatibility. To Install Simply replace the Music and Playlist folder in the Soundtrack Editor mod with those in this mod. About Me This project has been a personal project I've wanted to do for years. In 2014 or 15, the KSP social media accounts shared some music of mine from SoundCloud that I had written, inspired by the game. I saw a lot of people really like that music, and when I found out about Soundtrack Editor, I always wanted to do this. Now, several years later, I finally found the motivation and time to do so! I'm a composer for short films, indie games, podcasts etc so composing music is not only part of my income, but a part of my daily life. I take a lot of pride in my music (I've even won an award for one of my scores!) and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. The tone of the music I created for this project ranges from electronic to drone and ambient. I used a lot of synthesizers (both hardware and software) as well as orchestral libraries and live recordings of instruments I own to make this. It's very much inspired by artists such as Ólafur Arnalds, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Hans Zimmer, Benjamin Wallfisch, and Rutger Zuydervelt. I wanted to make something that gives a different tone that stock KSP. The construction songs are still more upbeat, using electronic instruments and lo-fi beats, but once you get out of the VAB/SPH it's a different feel entirely. I do want to note: unfortunately I never got to Moho and Dres. They were the last two bodies that I was going to compose for, but I recently accepted a short film score and I didn't want to distract myself further from that. So for now, Moho and Dres are using the same track as Mun. Hopefully that's okay! Anyways, that's all for now I suppose. Post feedback below! License: If you like this music or the mods I do, please consider donating! Future I humbly request that you don't listen to this music outside of the game. I ask that you use your favorite free streaming service to listen to this music outside of the game. This way, I get (a very, very tiny amount of) money per stream. If you want to purchase the album, you certainly can, but I would ask that you donate directly to me instead (using the button below), otherwise major services get a cut of that amount. Selected songs from this mod are available under the album title "Celestial."
  10. I love this! It looks great! Such a great name for the mod too!
  11. The toolbar shows up in the KSC, you must choose the suit texture of your Kerbals there. Ideally you can load 8 different textures at one time to decide which ones you like (or look at modder's images) by selecting a different suit for Jeb/Bill/Bob/Val/Pilot/Scientist/Engineer/Tourist and loading a craft with one of each onboard.
  12. Perhaps, I will try to look into it. As far as I know, that requires the use of B9PartSwitcher. I'll try to see what's involved with that. I'm not sure what mod Angel-125 has done, but I'll take a look. In other news, I was going along in my playthrough and after a mishap, realized I sorely needed some EVA handrails. I didn't like to use the stock Ladder as an EVA handrail and the old handrails mod is severely outdated. So I decided to try my hand at making my own. The part itself is modeled to the exact specs as the big handrail on the stock MK1-3 Command Pod. I realize the Kerbals don't actually use these handrails but instead the 'ladder' in between them, but I really liked the look of them and wanted to model mine after them. I also wanted to try to figure out the stock Part Variant system. So the handrails come in either standard Grey or Gold. So far they seem to work as intended, but I want to test them out a bit more before I release them.
  13. The "Mite" is stock KSP. The Making History DLC has a conical liquid fuel booster modeled after the Soyuz rockets (what I modeled mine after) so I didn't really see a need to make it again.
  14. Actually, I hadn't planned on it since the stock boosters changed their style and they added the "mite" booster, which is almost the same size. I'll think about it. I haven't considered doing the Starship... Actually, if you want SpaceX inspired stuff, I would definitely check out Tundra Exploration. @tygoo7 and @damonvv have done / are doing excellent work on that mod and it's one of my favorites. I actually prefer the Dragon style capsule and trunk from theirs to mine, which is why I may not remake mine. We'll see!
  15. That looks amazing! Much better than my skill level The much older version of this mod (Phoenix Industries CRS) used to have an ATV and HTV, but I always had trouble with doing solar panels so I stopped supporting it really, and then the hard drive crash happened so I don't have any of my old files. I would be up to collaborating - although, I use your Tantares mod and I gotta say, I'm not sure what I could contribute that you can't already do better
  16. Aw, really? I actually quite liked how that one turned out! EDIT: Version 1.1 is out, which fixes an issue with custom categories as well as a texture alignment issue.
  17. Hey guys, I bundled my EVA suit texture into my newly release mod pack here.
  18. Download Link: Preamble: Hey everyone! I wanted to release any future mods of mine as one bundle instead of separately. Unfortunately, the hard drive containing all of my other mods is long dead and inaccessible, so any new mods going forward are created new-from-scratch. I decided to create a new, single thread for the new mods and to keep things more organized for maintenance and updating. For these reasons, all previous mods are officially no longer supported by me. At least one is graciously being continued by @bcink here: The Martian for KSP. Description: This mod contains a small handful of totally re-made parts from my old mods. Currently included are: Two Solid-Rocket-Boosters; one large and one small - Cygnus style cargo spacecraft, one standard and one extended; a Dragon style cargo spacecraft; EVA suits loosely based on The Martian; stockalike EVA handrails; stockalike 1.25m Xenon fuel tanks; a very powerful ion engine; a simple Arc Reactor module; and Snacks! Greenhouse. --Both SRB models include emissive textures and animations and will work with stock KSP. --Ion Engines and Reactor models include emissive textures and animations and will work with stock KSP. --Xenon fuel tanks models include normal map textures and will work with stock KSP. --EVA handrails use KSP's PartVariant module to switch between grey and gold textures and will work with stock KSP. They are modeled directly after the handrails on the stock MK1-3 command pod. --The "Atratus" and "Fawks" spacecraft will work with stock as of KSP 1.11! --The EVA suits have been completely overhauled and will work with stock KSP. --The Greenhouse part is intended to recycle Soil and Electricity into Snacks, and in order to add its functionality, you'll need to install Snacks! Earlier version on Kottabos: Known Issues: None Changelog: License is CC BY-NC-SA 4.0
  19. I am also getting the same "Tracback" path error. Using Blender v 2.80
  20. Does anyone know if the new suit textures use the same name as the old ones? I'm trying to work out how to get TR to replace the suit textures on the new model but I can't figure out what they should be named / how to get TR to recognize them in-game. I can still change the Kerbal's faces but not the suits. EDIT: I've tried to use an Asset Bundle thing to browse through and see if I could spot either the textures or the models. I found the textures for the Orange suit and the Future suit but not the default, normal Kerbal suit. I found the NormalMap for the default suit but I couldn't seem to find any diffuse textures for it. EDIT2: Well, I didn't think I changed anything but apparently it works now. New textures still use the old filename "EVAtexture" but following another modder's example, I duplicated the textures and have a copy named "kerbalMainGrey" and it seems to work. Here's my "EVA survival suit" version 2! Release coming...soon-ish
  21. Well the RCS-less version would be for the Cygnus style part, not the Dragon. Using PartVariant to switch between standard and extended trunks is a good idea, though!
  22. Ah, I see. I hadn't checked out the PartVariants module yet, so I was just brainstorming. I suppose I will just rework it and keep the functionality it always had without worrying about part switching.
  23. Hey everyone! It’s been a very long time since I’ve been on the forums. Lots of stuff has happened. Among that, my laptop crashed, along with all of my modding and source files. However, with the new KSP update, I’ve actually been getting back into the game a bit. I wanted to update this mod a bit. I don’t intend to change anything functionally, just give it a visual makeover. I plan to do the Dragon capsule, the Trunk (and bundle pressurized and unpressurized if I can figure out the stock part switch stuff), the Dragon adapter, *maybe* solar panels, and the Cygnus part (again, using part switch for RCS and non-RCS). I plan to discontinue the HTV and the ATV parts. Heres a preview-
