  1. I just added Camera Tools yesterday, not weeks ago. In addition, if you will note that mod is not in the Dev section, its located in the tools section of the page. I added it specifically in that section to help streamers and video makers create video in case they did not know about your all in one BD collection. I'm sorry I made the assumption about @Papa_Joe being the mod guy behind this. I only made him the primary because of our conversation weeks ago on how you wanted him listed as the lead on the BD Armory link. You have my apologizes for making that assumption and I will change it to reflect @jrodriguez as the primary for that mod. As far as incorrect information, I can change that. I used a quote directly from the page: I slightly modified the sentence to let others who used to use that mod that it was an old BD mod. I'm open to suggestions for a better description. Thank you for clarifying the primary behind that mod.
  2. That mod is covered in the Dev Library. Are you suggesting it be included also in the Community Library?
  3. Okay, I'm adding this one to the library but I'm a bit confused about one thing. I see its been updated to v1.2.2 by jwvanderbeck who appears to be Agathorn here on the forums, who has not logged on since August 2016. I'm I correct in this assumption? I don't want to mis-credit who ever is behind the work. It would be great if authors would actually change their versions in the title when they update.
  4. Hi Hacki, if you want linux to notice, add a @ before his name. Hey @linuxgurugamer, @Hacki is wondering if your interested in you picking up his mod? Until someone does, I'll update it in the library ASAP
  5. Yes, this mod still works in v1.2.2, I use it all the time.
  6. WOOT! WOOT! Thats awesome! My mind is already racing with ideas to do with this mod!
  7. I'm so loving your progress dboi88, your almost there! I have a question on the command deck, is it part of the ship or a separate part? I only as because I think it would be cool to be able to attach more stuff or extend the ship in some way.
  8. WooT! We'll get this updated in the Community Library as soon, great to see you updated it! I didn't know it was in development pages so now its also in the Dev library.
  9. I just occurred to me @linuxgurugamer you missed a golden opportunity on the name! You should call it Bargain Rocket Parts Recycled!
  10. @linuxgurugamer you sneaky bugger lol, I only found out you re-did this mod because of Kottabos. I'll delete this from the abandoned section! WOOT! I got about 50-70 more mods to add to the abandoned section, more goodies for you to look at
  11. I believe DocBones started a new thread on this for some reason. I don't believe this thread will be relevant anymore.
  12. Thank you sooo much! I just haven't had the time for tinkering with the color pallet!
  13. Have you noticed @Gaarst that Squad changed the color pallet on us!!! I couldn't find the proper green to match earlier the other day, so I just ended up copying another version and paste it all in there. If you stumble across which shade it is could you enlighten me, I'll do likewise.
  14. There was one in development (v1.2.1) but the dev stopped the project. I remember seeing one other mod of that type recently but I'm not sure if its current. You'll might find the other mod project here. You can also look thru the community library.
  15. Well guys, you've given me some good feed back on this. It seems like a general consensus is that so long as your not directly ripping off another author that its exceptable to get an idea off another. I think I will press forward and add those mods to the Add-on Dev Library. Library is already done, time has already been spent. Look at the Dev pages for the library pinned there.
  16. After reading the License Selection Guide, I've still got a question about what is and is not allowed for the modding community. From what I gathered reading into this topic already, its been beaten to death so my apologizes for rehashing it, I only do so for clarification for a community project I'm working on. I'm re-combing the add-on release pages for outdated mods to add to the Add-on Development Mod Library. I've found that since I've opened up my 'search perimeters', I've run into a lot of good mods with no license or restrictive license that haven't been touched in years. I suspect that's the very reason there buried and have not been carried on by other modders. My question is, can someone take ideas from a non-licensed or restrictive licensed mod and make it their own. I understand not taking the authors part models or directly ripping their code but can you take the actual basic premise of the idea and remake it your own? I ask because I can put a lot of these mods in my library for others to muse over or borrow from. However I don't want to waste my time or exhume them if they ultimately can't be used for any reason what so ever. Ideally, I would like to get the input from moderators, Squad staff or modders who have a good understanding about this aspect of licensing.
  17. Yeah, I probably could of done a better job on that section title. I wanted a little place for the modders to go to get quick links for any tools or plugins they need. I put all the mod tools, in development and released in that section. I figured it might help out new modders. Thats why I left them colored green but I failed to make note of that. Thank you for clarifying what those plugin are, I need all the help I can get to make sense of what they do and where they go.
  18. Construction Complete! Only thing left is add current mods from the last few weeks and I have a Kerbal Stuff project in the works to give the community access to the open license mods lost when Kerbal Stuff closed shop.
  19. Okay, thanks for the update, I'll change the link.
  20. Cool beans. Yep Toolbar is a solid plugin, I should ask Gaarst to include it on the Community Library list.
  21. Thank you, noted. Update 2 released. Last 2 updates will be out soon.
  22. I need some feedback about a forum etiquette dilemma I'm starting to feeling. I've seen soooo sooo many posts where someone asks "DOES THIS WORK WITH X.X.X" or "IS THIS BEING UPDATED", where the original author stopped work on it 2 years before. Maybe its just a pet peeve of mine, but people just don't read they just ask. I want to limit this the best I can. I'm open to suggestions on a type of format or way to limit or prevent people from necro'ing these very old mods. This is the current format I'm using for these older mods, but I don't think its going to be effective. If it has a version number, I add it in like normal. If its a WIP or DEV Thread and has no version labeling, I'm using [x.x.x] Current example for older dev mods - [1.0.5] Add-on Development Mod Library, by CarnageINC - This is the add-on Development Library. Last post. Here are some ideas I had in mind. #1 - [1.0.5] Add-on Development Mod Library, by CarnageINC - This is the add-on Development Library. Last post. #2 - [1.0.5] Add-on Development Mod Library, by CarnageINC - This is the add-on Development Library. #3 - [x.x.x] Add-on Development Mod Library, by CarnageINC - This is the add-on Development Library. Last post. #4 - [x.x.x] Add-on Development Mod Library, by CarnageINC - This is the add-on Development Library. I was wondering if the "Last post" helps and should I go through the extra work of adding "Last post" on the description line for mods that need it? I've almost finished Update 2 so this point might be for not. Should or can I ask a forum moderator to lock down those old threads before I put the update out there? I'm I over thinking this? I do that quite often, lol, just ask Gaarst I'm open to suggestions or ideas. *I've finished Update 2 since I posed this question. I'm going to hold off on posting it till I get some feedback from at least 2 or 3 people. If no feedback is given, I'll pull the trigger on it and modify it later if need be.
  23. First major update done, 3 more to go!
  24. I just got to say....WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO!!!! I know this will be worth the pain once its complete, but I have my doubts any sane person would want to maintain it afterwards. Maybe it will be one of those things that once someone has laid the foundation, it can be maintained with a small bit of effort. I'm almost ready to release Update 1 of a 3 part update to the library. Update 1 will be all current DEV mods that goes back 1 year. Update 2 will be Older DEV mods that go back past a year to the beginning of the DEV forum, Update 3 will be odd stuff; No license/restrictive license, obsolete and 'author stated' abandoned mods over 1 year old. I'm going to stop using the term 'abandoned' unless the creator actually states they have quit working on it. That will be changed also in the Older Release section. I'm amazed on how much actually time I've sunk into the whole library project in the last month, close to 6-8 hours a day. I feel the burn out looming, to get myself to the finish line I picture myself as 'the little SRB that could' LOL, I'm struggling to get my payload to orbit then I'll be expended, staged and free to fall into oblivion! LOL
