Bigger Asteroids in KSP
Monsterlunch replied to The_Rebel_Flagship's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
As much as I'd like to see this, I doubt that it will make it into stock, due to some minor gravitational issues with small bodies : https://what-if.xkcd.com/68/ -
Low-hanging fruit (graphical enhancements)
Monsterlunch replied to vger's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Owning not a computer, but a potatoe, I'm totally in for graphics enhancements, but one should be able to disable them via the options menu. However, this is what I dream of at night: -
Haha well now thats finally another interesting place to colonize! I'm totally going to copy ehh I mean be inspired by your idea!
-
Wow! Good choice of music btw. How do you get those neat propulsion lightning / lense flare effects? Are they edited, or is this all in-game footage?
-
This looks nice! Definitely going to take a look into it!

Thanks a lot! As the TWR is basically so low, it was quite a hassle to do all the acrobatic VTOL stuff, so I got kinda annoyed after trying to finish this challenge the fifth time. I am therefore glad to hear you accepted it despite some minor.... difficulties I would call it. The crafts name is Zepto-300 and it is available for download via my signature. I like the design of this craft too, it was originally designated to be a Duna-RocketPlane/VTOL, but im still working on that version. KER does simply apply calculations based on maximum/current thrust output and current total weight of a craft. Orientation however is not taken into account I think. Cheers

Here we go! Not a speed run, as she is an old Lady barely capable of takeoff with a TWR of 1.00 It's a class I entry. Stock Physics, only stock parts used (textures changed due to Ven's Stock Revamp). See the full album by clicking the pciture below! This has been a fun challenge! +Rep for you! I accidentally hit the time warp button after the landing on the Administration Building, but I didn't go for high speed anyways.

Sooo, i tried. I failed. But i have not given up yet. I think it is barely doable. However, some badS piloting skills are required. This is my current version of the Black Friday Duna Rocket It's currently 33,094 Funds. I think on could rip off the SAS module and stuff some more fuel in the main module to reduce weight and cost on the orbit insertion stage. I brought this one into Orbit with 1048 m/s left. Mechjeb plotted me a manouever to duna with 1046 m/s. Maybe I'll give this another try one day.

What site to use to upload .craft files to
Monsterlunch replied to Snikersnee's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I highly recommend dropbox, if you want to share your crafts on the forums -
Of course you can! It's available via my signature. Edit: No post without a picture!

Eve beeing just Eve, i wouldn't consider bringing more than 1 Kerbal to the surface. The resulting Mass difference may not seem too bad, but escaping the purple hell with a 2.66 ton MK2 LanderCan (2*MK1 = 1.32) instead of a MK1 LanderCan at 0.66 tons results in a bigger launcher, therefore bigger transfer stages and so on.... (You might even consider EVA Seats, using the kerbals jetpack for Orbital insertion. ) The prestigious effect of a 2 Kerbal party on Eve would be enourmous though. Regarding Tylo/Laythe, you could probably increase Fuel Storage on your Interplanetary transfer Vesell, bring along a Seperate IRSU Lander, refuel at the smaller moons and therefore save the fuel for bringing down and up all the Mining Gear from Tylo/Laythe.

What type of disk drive do you use for KSP?
Monsterlunch replied to Joshwoo70's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'm actually using a 64G micro SD card. Performance on my surface pro2 is already crappy so it doesnt make a difference anyways... I usually go get a coffee when KSP is loading and when i come back... It be still loading. I thinky I may do an upgrade to this brand new product:
