Hullo everyone! Recently, I have been working on an easy to build, Arduino based KSP Controller. This is the thread where I will post updates on the Controller. Well, progress has accelerated quite a bit in this project, as I am currently an intern at a factory where the do stuff with metal n stuff. As we all know, interns ain't got nothing to do all the time, so they let me use their tools n do stuff, which led to me working on a my Controller for 32 hours this week already. This made me scrubb my plans of making an easy to build controller - I went for full metal. My own case is 95% Aluminium, causing the thing to already weigh a ton or so. I'm probably the first person to be paid for making a KSP Controller. No Pics no Clicks!: Update I: 09.06.2016 Switches have been installed, Case is structurally complete. LEDs will be fitted into the small holes on the right side, big red staging button is on my shopping list and will be fitted right next to the lock button. So much for my own Panel. As I have been documenting my own project quite well, I will probably create a new thread soonTM, concerning a DIY KSP Controller - Kontrol MK2.The DIY Controller will use a plastic casing you can buy at your local electronics shop and you will therefore be able to build it in your own basement using nothing but your finger nails and your teeth! Ok, you might need some basic tools but that's it. Cheers!

No need for antigrav on Minmus.

Hi y'all! First off - thank you guys so much for all the inspiration, your projects are awesome! I have been working on a DIY KSP controller lately and the project is slowly taking shape. Arduino Control base code is done, haven't looked into using libraries to control the Kontrollers LEDs yet though. I'll start a thread about the controller SoonTM. The whole idea of this project is to create an affordable, easy to build KSP Controller, so that people can build one themselves if they want to. (Although I can't think of anyone wanting to do so) Progress so far: 04.06.2016 - Switches have arrived! Cheers!

Me likes the heatshield! Also Duna looks absolutely gorgeous from scaledspace. -
How to travel to Mars in 3 seconds: Step 1: Create a local gravitational field not affecting anything but your spacecraft orbiting around it. Step 2: Send your spacecraft to mars using conventional propulsion. Step 3: Un-create the gravitational field Due to the habit of gravitational fields bending space-time, time passing for our admittedly VERY brave astronauts could be reduced to three seconds without actually violating the laws of physics. Just have to get around the problem of our gravitational field swallowing planets and stuff...

I'm baffled then... Congratulations. The Holy Grail is yours I guess...

Does the whole thing go to LEO?

Each Easter egg should have its own science biome perhaps with an increased science factor. That would actually give me a reason to search for these places and go there, maybe even set up a base in their vicinity. Then we could not only do stuff like this: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4078/4925407844_f02bf781e3_z.jpg but actually gain something from it!

Gonna slap those on every single rover that's tourin' the system! to be serious - this is a great design and I'm glad that Akron is giving them a go!

Why would you be a terrible space colonist?

I can totally see myself setting up a brewery on the ISS, brewing "Rocket Juice" Though I wouldn't be able to drink any due to excessive motion sickness... -
... which is pregnant. The building is a 2400 story wooden tower...

Humanity uses Global warming, drying out the river, saving the Rook. As a retaliation move I call in The Whackjob.

Sooo tiny!!! Love it!

uhm. This might prove difficult. Lets just say I'm hanging out on Eeloo and my PC and my craftfiles are back home on Kerbin. Launch window opens up in May so I might have a look then, but I don't even know if I still have that .craft So if you don't desperately want that exact craft I think you'd be better off trying to rebuild it from the pictures. It's not a very decent built either, just something slapped together to compete in that challenge. if you need any advice, just give me a yell Cheers!

Thing is I didn't do anything. I'm merely proposing a Mission Idea and giving a possible strategy on how to execute the Mission. Thanks for the clarification anyways. Cheers
-
I do not nescescarrily disagree with your decision. I have to say though that I then find the term Challenges and "Mission Ideas" quite confusing as I do see this rather as a Mission Idea than a Mission report. I had quite some trouble actually finding the right Subforum for posting this... Maybe some clarification of the term Mission Idea is needed. Cheers!

Not YET.... -
Hello everyone! This is a Mission Idea within a heavily modded savefile I have been working on for a couple of days now. A Word file can be found here: http://1drv.ms/1KBCe7R Or you read it right here! As of now, I am far out of reach of any KSP capable PC, and therefore created a Mission Assembly Document. Anyways, I would really like to hear your feedback about the proposed mission! Cheers!
