  1. Not sure if cryogenics are still necessary in a warp capable ship. But it 'll be a MM generated part based on the crew cylinder. So you can choose how you want to fit the ship
  2. Made my fork of the mod here: https://github.com/bartblommaerts/warpship.... For those brave enough to deal with beta software. Changelog included in zip. Warpship for KSP 1.1.1 : https://www.dropbox.com/s/saeg236rk6aukow/IXSWarpship0S-0.3.4-1.1.1.zip?dl=0 Warpship for KSP 1.1.2 : https://www.dropbox.com/s/bur8dwdvfq4l6mm/IXSWarpshipOS-0.3.5-1.1.2.zip?dl=0 Warpship for KSP 1.1.2 test: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hoelvsl1k76hv47/IXSWarpshipOS-0.3.6b-1.1.2.zip?dl=0
  3. i need an ingame 'company' name... something that fits my flag (see profile picture)... something to do with cats. Suggestions are welcome
  4. Look at this schematic: Seems like the Ring Airlocks are built on top of the small junction points. These are already present in the model, they only need an attachment node. And the model for the airlock looks like its something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9sp9a0hx5fg9pcr/Ring Airlock model.png?dl=0 STL: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4epl9whneykjf5r/Ring%20Airlock%20model.stl?dl=0
  5. The scene in question Dr. Mann does indeed try to dock with a docking port on the outside of the ring between 2 modules. Then blows it up because he doesn't know about the changes in docking procedures. The explosion puts the Endurance in a spin along its central axis. Leaving the forward and rear docking ports the only two viable options for Cooper to dock to with the lander. And that is IF he can match the spin while docking. It had been a long time since last i was so nailed to my seat in suspense as with that scene. JPLRepo, maybe add connection nodes in the ring and "just" add a docking node part that can be attached there like the pods do?
  6. Ximarin for MacOS X seems to do the trick. its even so much the same that i could follow the first few modding tutorials without having to look for stuff. 1st thing i am looking to change is the sound the QV drive makes.... doesn't that just drive you utterly nuts? Next thing i guess is learning ModuleManager language, so i can start integrating with other mods, like DeepFreeze and KIS and the switchable containers from Pathfinder
  7. Ive been watching the first of the mod tutorial videos on here, So: - Parts: text editor,... Somehow i think i can manage that. - Models: I guess ill finally get to learning blender. - Modules: not a clue how to do these, havent seen that video yet. So, if i'm right modules are stored in DLLs? I noticed most repositories contain Visual Studio project files... I'm a Mac and Linux user... With a firm aversion of anything M$. Is Visual Studio required? Or in short: how do i keep the dll updated? I probably should have started with this: would you be willing to help get me on track?
  8. Thanks for this update! Each ship retaining its AGex lists is major frustration solved..
  9. Holy Krap Kerman! Now THAT is COOL! Guess ill have to give VVC another look. Couldn't quite figure it out so i left it alone.
  10. You may want to have a look at ThrottlrControlledAvionics. Itll help you stabalise when doing VTOL
  11. not sure what u mean exactly but: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8gqghl9kt414hmn/Endurance%20-%20vanilla.craft?dl=0
  12. That mus have been a very long time ago since just about any Linux major Linux distro installs like a charm. Ubuntu even makes it easier by making the closed source NVidia drivers available through their packaging system. Since i only use my pc for gaming i recently reinstalled it with SteamOS. Its a respun Ubuntu Precise Pangolin, just boot a cd, select language and keyboard and the off it goes. If your pc more recent or less resembles the Steam Machine specs there is no PITA to be had. Given the speed and stability of Linux, it would make sense even after 1.1 (squad,... If you bork KSP 1.1 on Linux i'm personally comming to strangle you)
  13. Granted, its a remark not unique to OPT, but it is a valid question. If your toaster tends to malfunction a lot, you have it repaired or you toss it out and buy a different one. But for some silly reason, when it comes to pc's and OS's, everyone turns into this meme: "brace yourself, windows is booting".... and won't even entertain the possibility of installing Linux next to Windows so they can enjoy the game..
  14. Is it just me or does the ranger docking port in .9.2 not work? Its not magnetic, cannot set it as a target and it won't attach. And it won't attach to a regular docking port either.
  15. functional? always i dont do fancy-panzy stuff Anywayz: I'm posting them here: http://www.ksp-players.com/en/home it'll tell you what mods are needed too. Just look me up: Denko666 and check my Hangar.
  16. You sir, read my deepest desires! Dne are the days of building ugly unwielding tug monstrosities. Now we shake things into place in style! Or, to put it more simply: TYTYTYTYTYTYTY!!!
  17. Working on it... First need to get construction capabilities in orbit
  18. Nonsense, a 0kb download has nothing to do with ssl certification. If that was the cause i would have gotten an error, not an empty file. And the fact that ckan doesnt overwrite updated files where it should also has nothing to do with ssl.
  19. Thx Angel! the download at spacedock.info though is 0kb... u might wanna check. and, at the risk of annoying you further: even when i substitute the empty spacedock.info download with the one from github. CKAN manages to screw up the install. after i manually copied 9.11 over 9.10 it got past the wbi_terrain parloading
  20. I have never been so pleased to hear its a bug. I've been trying to figure oit why it crashed all day... Even reinstalled SteamOS a second time for it Ohwel, made me clean up my mods....
