I'm really liking the new parts, will come very useful to me as soon as KSP 1.1 gets released and modded!

How far have you gone in Kerbal Space Program?
T'Flok replied to Columbia's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Since I use cheats to get my somewhat limited Sci-Fi experience I've visited all of the planets and moons except Val until a few months back (Val is my favorite, it's blue and I feel tranquility on there). My playstyle is that of an independent nomadic explorer. I'm planning to build something big in 1.1, something that is currently a pain to fly due to low FPS and other limitations currently in KSP hampering any enjoyment of the game for me. -
I'm liking the no-neck parts! Once 1.1 rolls out I'll be back playing KSP, already have figured out how I'm gonna build my new sci-fi designs with Tantares' parts without having to worry about command pod's shape and size. I'll just stick a command pod with decent amount of RPM screens inside the hull and have airlock or two outside the hull! Beale, sorry for ranting last time about my need for lots of RPM screens (I was quite depressed that day). Wouldn't want my favorite mod-maker to hate or dislike me.

Which one looks nicer; new Mk1 cockpit or old one
T'Flok replied to Falkenherz's topic in KSP1 Discussion
YOTZA! The Mk1 plane cockpit is finally getting a sensible revamp!?! Man I could go on and on about how tiny that old cockpit's window was and yet the IVA of it made it seem like its much bigger, it irritated the heck out of me, one of the reasons I NEVER use Mk1 plane cockpit in my designs. When this update rolls out I'll be building a sweet new space/aerial ride with the new cockpit! -
All those sweet looking parts and textures are making me wanna play KSP again, I swear once KSP Unity 5 port rolls out I'm going to be in VAB for a day or two! ...it'll probably be a whole week.

All I really need nowadays from a command pod is plenty of MFDs at my disposal like the command room in Toy Box in Planetes. A pod I can incorporate with any design. So in short.. somebody give a me a can with a door that has an IVA with 4-6 RPM screens to operate whatever it's controlling from inside with no windows comfortably.

I don't give a dren, all these gauges are useless and primitive to me as I'm having hard time reading anything off of them especially when dealing with huge numbers. Now gauges are fine for atmospheric flight but between planets/stars.. yeah right. This after all is A GAME, I don't want in my game to deal with real life space history boll yotz and RPM is a must have mod for us Sci-Fi fahrbots! You can have your gauges but when RPM is installed just remove the gauges with three screens. Seriously, I don't see a problem with that, win-win for both. Unless somebody wants both the screens and the gauges which I don't. Edit: No offense meant to anyone, it's late night and I'm as you can see extremely upset about this.

Nice! Once again I gotta say: looks way better than stock! Now for the love of sanity please, PLEASE! Pretty please, add THREE. Yes! Three! Three RPM monitors (bare minimum) or else I'm gonna headdesk real hard and probably break my skull while at it. I swear If it only comes with one or two RPM monitors only, ugh. It's just not gonna be an alternative cockpit to the stock's Mk1's for me. All this shortage of RPM screens in your mod is really driving me bananas, it's not even funny! Sorry for the rant but this has been bothering me for far too long and I'm at a breaking point over this. I wanna use YOUR cockpits over stock's but it's the lack of RPM screens that bug me to no end. I'm a builder of Sci-Fi ships and a proper starship HAS to HAVE multiple RPM monitors for the Pilot's comfort of piloting his ship! Being in a starship and only having just one or two Monitors to look at is a death sentence in deep space! Especially when you are the only one piloting the ship! Again I'm terribly sorry for this rant but I really needed to get this off my chest.

Nice texture! And yup, I'm still on KSP hiatus (waiting for KSP's unity 5 port so I can finally build something massive without the lag and enjoy the game in 64 bit).

Despite your general "let's-laugh-at-something-we-don't-unsderstand-yet"-esque reaction to such craft. I'm the only one who didn't laugh and frankly, I find the craft quite cute and useful! I'm still on break from KSP though. That and waiting for this darn humid summer to end. Anyway, how's the progress with ATV revamp? Sorry in advance if that was talked of before, been away for so long I can't be bothered reading all the pages.

Nice! Looked up LK capsule's config instantly: MODEL { model = Tantares/Parts/LK/LK_Crew_A scale = 1.25, 1.25, 1.25 } BTW, liking the thick-necked Progress.

Was just me reacting reasonably to real life space programs being used only in warfare. No flames happened IMO, the other person who commented me just liked my reaction and that was the end of it. Anyway, don't know how to help with that bug. It be preferable if it didn't happen at all.

Eh, my question was a poorly made one. I'm sorry I'm so out of whack. This dry/humid sauna-esque summer air over here prevents my brain from getting oxygen properly so for the past few weeks I've not been feeling good at all. Trying to breath anywhere is like being in a sauna. It's painful. Apart from my usual summer misery (last summer was too hot, even just sitting on a chair was enough for sweat to start pouring). Anyway my question should've been this: "Wonder when will Beale be returning to modding, how long of a break is it in rough estimate? No rush, just wondering."

Thanks! Despite all the clutter outside, this sci-fi craft works better than most of my previous ships! Due to it having only one powerful engine instead two engines on the sides I don't encounter that annoying KSP bug where the other symmetrically-placed engine starts shifting from it's place and causes the ship to spin, a thing not noticeable at low speeds but at high speeds it shows up in an instant to a point of engines getting explosively flung off (it seems to be my version of rapid unplanned disassembly with crafts). Anyway, couldn't agree more that Tantares' part configs need tidying up, best of luck to you Curt The Q!

Yikes, I take a break from KSP a bit and so much has gone past already! Well since I got bored and decided to get KSP 1.0.4 up and running, I thought why not commemorate Beale's and Mrs. Beale's rather mundane accomplishment with me finally visiting in style the only moon in KSP I haven't visited until now: Vall! I'm mildly amazed how quickly I threw this one together, it took me way longer to re-mod my KSP than building this ship!

Well, I have 4 cores to spare. Sorry my bad, when you have this much info to go over and then post, there are bound to be a few mishaps. Corrected my error on my original post here.

Oh, nice! A place where I can brag a bit about my current custom-built rig! Motherboard: Intel DB75EN Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50Ghz (EDIT: Derp! It's '4 cores / 8-way multitask processing', says on the box) Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 980 (Gigabyte's Windforce version with three fans) with 4gb RAM. PSU: CX750M OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Two 4gb RAM chips adding to the total of 8gb of RAM. (two more can be added) Two hard drives each 1 terabyte. My main hard drive is an Hitachi HUA721010KLA330 and the other one is a Western Digital WD10EARS-00MVWB0. Those hard drives and I go way back to when they were in my previous computer. I also have a new 3 terabyte hard drive which I'm using externally for easy data storage and transfer for large files, can't find it's name at the moment. And fans? Well my new GPU gets proper ventilation now as the case is full with fans in all sides. Now the fun thing is this rig has been modified several times. It used to have a different chassis and an AMD Radeon HD 7750 (either 512mb or 1gb of RAM, can't recall properly. EDIT: It was passively-cooled, no fan) and an 500w PSU but once I bought the new GTX 980 it was so darn long that I had to upgrade accordingly to feed that beast properly! So now where all of that stuff is in and then some is in a "Xigmatek Asgard Pure Black Edition On Classic Chassis", eh well there are several versions of those it's all quite confusing but the one I have is this one: I'm old fashioned like that. I'm not interested in bling and other vanity when it comes to computers. For me it's important for the whole thing to function as intended, doesn't need to look cool but practical which to me is cool! And yet KSP 1.0.2 still works like it's 2000 something all over again! That blasted 32-bit with it's framerate drops and crashes due to memory overflow BS! *grumblemumble* I'm taking a break from KSP until the next version comes out porting the game to Unity 5. It's just not fun anymore when you wanna build ships with more than 300-600 parts and game is running like I'm trying to play Gothic 2 on my long-forgotten Thinkpad. Yeah I have everything on max except AA which is on 2x, I refuse to turn down quality! I tried texture quality at medium and some parts had textures that looked like the Kraken had eaten them and then barfed them back, just so muddy I can't tell what I'm looking at! Anyway, I'm quite happy with my custom built rig, best time and money spent on something that works and can be repaired/upgraded easily should one part fail or just go old. I never bring my rig to a repair place, ever. It helps a big time when your family is tech-savvy. Wow, that has to my longest post here. Sorry, didn't mean to but.. meh, it happens.

Well, I was scratching my head a bit when he regarded you as "he". Anyway, back to ATV. I'm pretty much all for how the new ATV looks and wouldn't change anything else part-wise but that's just me.

Oh please no! *facepalm* I wanna use the ATV for 1.25m docking ports too, y'know! Besides it'd break the lego element when trying to use that part creatively.

I still agree with SnowWhite. Just tried the pod out myself: It's like it was meant to be on top of that contraption! Kerbonaut1: "Is the SCR on?" Kerbonaut2: "The what now???"
