The ROUND-8 Path (aka The Hydraulic Manifold Path): Right BOOSTERS Right STRUTS Right DECOUPLERS Right DELTA-V Right FUEL TANKS Right ENGINES Right BALANCE Right LANDING in order to SPACE. ----- The Kraken made this magical place with a forbidden garden of trees that bear the fruit of LF/O and Solid Fuel. The Kraken made Jebediah, and he could space freely. The Kraken thought Jebediah was lonely in space so the Kraken made Valentina to space with him. Valentina was tempted to taste the fruit of LF/O and Solid Fuel, and she did. The fruit gave knowledge of SPACE, then both Jeb and Valentina were hiding in astronaut suits behind fuel tanks, struts, engines, and boosters. The Kraken said, "You shall be punished for thou consumption of LF/O and Solid Fuel! From now on, you shall not space freely, you shall Delta-V to space!" From then on, Delta-V was the requirement of all kerbals to get into space.

What if KSP were to reach 2.0? What would happen?
TrainEngie replied to Sanguine's topic in KSP1 Discussion
'Far?' FAR becomes stock? 64 bit stability? Maybe primitive Lagrange points? Gas Planet 2? A moon for the planet that replaces Eeloo? Wait, KSP 2 could be made and maintained by We The People IF Squad gives up on KSP. -
What do B9 Aerospace and MK2 Expansion use to thrust reverse their jet engines? I'm asking this because I want to make my own thrust-reversing jet engine (specifically a Kerbalized Concorde engine to go with SXT Concorde-style pod) Nevermind... Module Animate generic. close this thread please

FAR Fighter Challenge BD Armoury AI: 2!!
TrainEngie replied to SpaceplaneAddict's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Not true. The current winner, the D-9, is single-engined. There are more single-engines than you think. See you in the air, sir! -

FAR Fighter Challenge BD Armoury AI: 2!!
TrainEngie replied to SpaceplaneAddict's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
TE-17FS Itsuki... Maybe I should have called it "Kerolev FS-17" for its resemblance to the MiG-21 and Hodo's F/119... Mods seen in this picture (besides obvious Kerbal Engineer, FAR, and BD Armoury) Dynamic Deflection (required) Flight Manager for Reusable Stages (no idea why) NavHUD -

Sample Return Capsules: Good idea or not?
TrainEngie replied to Sanix25's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
"SRC's, if you didn't know, are tiny, flying-saucer shaped devices which are meant to collect a small sample of asteroid rock or solar wind and reenter into the Earth's atmosphere. They contain their own avionics and parachutes, so it will need to be its own probe core." Oh, I thought this was an idea for probe science containers... -
They're sneaky! Minecraftians invaded Kerbals.
-
In my lightly-modded KSP install, he's in the Astronaut Complex after getting off the Admin building after landing a VTOL awkwardly. In my heavily-modded KSP install, he's in the Astronaut Complex after the last Minmus mission. (Or was it Valentina who went there last??)
-
Land on Kerbol intact, with 200% heating.
-
The monolith told us there was a surface on Kerbol... Jeb's teeth broke as he was on Minmus.
-
Mun cake. Uh... the munar festival already happened...

If we can land on Mars and Titan, why not Pluto and Charon? From a Delta-V perspective, the rocket for a Pluto lander might be bigger than the Saturn V. Well, communications for a lander would be lengthy (New Horizons took a long time to upload its history-making pics) So, Pluto lander or not?

ISS veggies on the menu for the first time
TrainEngie replied to lajoswinkler's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Space veggies... mmmm Now the astronauts are not exempt from having their mothers say, "EAT YOUR SPINACH, VIKTOR, IT'S HEALTHY FOR YOU." -
A solution to the magnetosphere problem of colonizing mars
TrainEngie replied to Clockwork13's topic in Science & Spaceflight
That seems inefficient to go through so much iron dirt just to release oxygen; the iron and the oxygen will just become rust again in a matter of whatever time. -
Is the tube launcher a train carriage, truck trailer, or converted ICBM launcher?
