If you want to land on an asteroid, just go to gilly. or bop. But somebody should make a mod where there are a bunch of resized gilly and bop copies around the sun.
-
I want the barf bags. PS the chatterer guy will hate you because he would then need to make kerbal swearwords.
-
Even if it was better, I still would never use the hudmax, cause its so ugly.

It seems that he has the Engine Nacelle parts on his engines, which give a little bit of intakeAir, but there is probably some radials somewhere.

I never thought they could make the Clausewitz engine look like this.
I thought the Clausewitz engine could only look crap. I still play CK2 obsessively.

I made it up.

Oh, so like Super-Flaps®

I made a plane that is not necessarily well behaved or stable, but it's stability is so neutral that it can be controlled perfectly with only the vector thrust. Does that count?
Also, is it just me or are your front wings angled?

I hope you realise that an asteroid belt is nothing like starwars. When they sent one of the probes through it, it was calculated that there was a 1 in 4 Billion chance of colliding with a asteroid. Billion, with a B.

Seriously though, I think that regexs account must have been hijacked or something cause he's so much better now. I like him.

Reading through this thread, I have to get a 'It's the End Times' sign. I agree with regex! Oh the Horror!

x40000000 scale tweakscale incoming.

If you make an austin powers mod series, you are kinda screwed because you won't be able to host it on curse or the forums, due to the parts shapes...

Welcome.
Where did you get the avatar?

Ok, the post I made because I completed this didn't show up. Stupid Forum on School Wi-fi.
I'm fine with the way the intakes and engines work right now, but it would be cool to have that as part of a spinoff game or expansion: Kerbal Aircraft Program.
I also think that this system would work very well for turboprops too.
-
Yep, I was the Three part jet system guy, and I want this to be implemented.
-
I think that Kerman is the title of what we would call an astronaught. I guess in whatever lingua franca kerbin has titles come after the name.
-
I think we already get speed in atmo contracts.
-
When vertical they shouldn't produce lift, just the tail on a more normal aircraft.
-
It should need pretty big flames though. I dont want to be going only 600m/s in a plane and suddenly get comms blackout.

Everybody note that they also hide sales figures because they don't want to be known as rich in Mexico city.
I find it really funny that it says that @RX2000 and @DolphinDude3 like this. Sorry but as a vBulliten supporter, I must say that this is another reason not to like the current forum. But it is nice to see who reped a post.

Interesting idea. But like @Van Disaster noted, deep down, jet engines and rocket engines are essentially the same thing, apart from a few minor behavior and aesthetic details.
So if jet engines are to be broken into individual parts, wouldn't rockets need these respective parts as well?
For example, to construct a jet, you need an intake, compressor/turbine, and a nozzle. To construct a rocket you need a turbopump, combustion chamber, and a nozzle.
I would certainly play around with this set up if it was available. However, I feel this would be better suited as a mod rather than stock, given the added complexity and the amount of parts that would have to be added.
Well, for rockets, the combustion chamber, nozzle and other parts are specially built, whereas many aircraft (especially military) have diffrent shaped intakes and nozzles. And, there is only four jets, giving us some serious restrictions on operation envelopes.

This is very cool. I can never seem to make working replicas. I wonder if somebody has a small and powerful enough stock turboprop to fit on that plane? @Azimech?
