I don't need a sea resort, thanks though. What I really need is a C resort, now when will we get that?

Gargantua System (Lead by the remarkable Dr. Kaboom!)
HoloYolo replied to HoloYolo's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Jeb is so not an idiot, how do you think he's still loved by many. Not many people like idiots. -
So we have an Endurance mod, but no Gargantua. We have mountains, but they aren't waves as high as the clouds. We have an ice planet (Eeloo, Vall is a moon) but no idiot to blow an airlock and make an intense scene. We have deserts, but no Wolf Edmunds. So, how will we get these things? Me, Dr. Kaboom (I'm not hijacking any ships and blowing out airlocks, unlike my colleague Dr. Mann) of course. So how will I do it? Space Engine (yes, I'm that guy), Kopernicus, and Kittopia Tech. Now, I'm sure a guy's already workin' on it, but he hasn't done a thing! Me, a kid with billions of years of free time, will get this thing out as soon as my procrastination side lets up, and I'm not going shorts shopping. Features Planned Gargantua (No Neutron Star planned) Miller's Planet Mann's Planet Edmund's Planet Don't believe me just watch! Update 1: Found a perfect Miller's Planet! All oceans, no ice caps! Working on the config now! I don't know if you can export black hole textures, as I found one, and I'm sure you can, but I'm still not sure. Experiment time! Update 2: For those still checking this, Space Engine is messing around with me. I can't find an ice planet that matches Dr. Mann's planet perfectly. Also, it's glitching a little. Don't worry, I'm not giving up. I have found 3 Edmund candidates. I have a perfect Miller's Planet, as stated last update. I expect this to get a alpha release in the next few weeks after 1.0. Maybe sooner. I'll see what happens ;D. Update 3: I'm working on the Gargantua config as of now. I will lose a few hours of time, but I expect to finish Gargantua tomorrow, and move on to Miller. You guys want it, so I'm working as fast as possible. I'm not giving up at all. Thanks for all your wonderful support. I promise this will get released. Update 4: Forgot to save the Gargantua config last night. This is a small setback. I'm also taking a break for a few days, I plan to resume on Friday or Saturday. Don't worry, Just a small hiccup. I'm still keeping my promise. Update 5: I found the Gargantua config deep into my computer, so no lost progress! I'm waiting to work on this until 1.0 releases. I'm not stopping everything, as I still need to find a Mann's Planet, so I'm not giving up. The reason for me waiting is bugs. If I release this thing when 1.0 still has the major bugs, It might break too, and I'm not taking any chances. THIS. WILL. GET. A. RELEASE. SOON. Don't worry!

I build and test fast. I made an O'Neill cylinder, and it was in orbit an hour and a half after designing and testing.
-
I had like no time left before I had to depart to the bed, so I never thought of using offset to fix the beard.
-
I couldn't get the CoL close enough to the CoM, so I had to attach elevons till they were close enough to glide XD

https://www.dropbox.com/s/pvyb42gmzzjoslj/Shuttle%20WIP.craft?dl=0 Here's The Download Here is something that's easy enough to launch, fly, orbit, and glide, and it's very, very small. Took me 40 minutes to build, test, and fly successfully. Now, how to use this tin can. 1. Use RCS on launch if you wish to rotate your shuttle 2. When the SRBs run out, engage RCS and separate. The SRBs will hit each other and explode, but they do not touch the shuttle. 3. When you hit the point where you start rotating forwards (around 26km) use RCS and control the shuttle with it. 4. You will separate the External Tank at around 2019 m/s, and the OMS have enough fuel to circularize and de-orbit. 5. When you are coming in for landing, don't pull up too hard, you WILL stall and crash (CoM drifts a little, but not too much that it's impossible to fly) 6. Modify as you wish, I never was able to fit a payload in the cargo bay, but I estimate it can carry 5 tons. NOTE: If you wish to dock with a station, make sure you can get there, and refuel at the station so you can de-orbit. No pics, no clicks http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=427002322 Still trying to figure out Imgur. Enjoy, and notify me if you experience problems.

Mods we would like to see integrated into Stock?
HoloYolo replied to SpaceSmith's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Voted other for PlanetFactory. Great mod, but a little buggy which can be fixed. -
Imagine after 10 years, you finally arrive. You get your probe, Phile, and head down to the comet. You land, and bounce because of the low gravity. You land on the dark side, but you still landed. The excitement of landing on a comet for the first time! Wow, if only we had that in KSP. My request, is that someone add a comet or 2 to KSP. I'd love that very much. If you can't do it, I'll do it, it'll take a few weeks though XD.

Saturn isn't spherical, and it had rings for over 100 million years.
-
B is the thing that will happen. Saturn's Rings do the same thing, they are around the planet and the rocks in them orbit as the ISS does with Earth and this ring structure.
-
And unoriginal.
-
It does, it's just for simulation though.
-
So what you're saying is that everyone who tries this has to make 2 cylinders?
-
LOL I always forget XD.
-
If I'm getting no replies is it a bad challenge.
-
Did I do something wrong?

How would you react if the world ended?
HoloYolo replied to HoloYolo's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Notice as I said try for the 2 survival choices. Also, there are many ways of leaving Earth, and many places to go. -
How would you react if the world ended?
HoloYolo replied to HoloYolo's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Fixed it. -
I'm creating this to "study" how people would react to the end of the world. I would try to leave Earth or try to survive. I would try to save myself and my family first and work to good friends, friends, and just normal strangers. I would do anything to survive with everyone I know. By the way, the world could be ending in anyway, may it be asteroid or neutron star.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O%27Neill_cylinder /Read up if you don't know what this is. Let's put a fictional setting into place. Kerbin will be destroyed. The reason, a black hole (this is so extremely rare, impossible in the game, but just roll with it). The black hole is 5 years out (ignore the fact the black hole would've destroyed Eeloo already), and your mission is to build an O'Neill Cylinder a.k.a Island, then escape to one of the 3 places that'll survive, then land and set up a colony. Here is the layout, now the rules. The "Island" building guide 1. Must be 20 meters long and 5 meters wide. 2. It can be driven along by normal rockets, but making an Orion propulsion system that works would be amazing 2. It must hold 50 kerbals 3. Must have a colony of 10 kerbals to land on target. 4. Must have gravity relatable to Kerbin (9.81 m.s. squared, has to be made with centrifuge system) 5. Must have a 6 hour day-night cycle Here are the 3 targets Dres Moho Pol Here are the rules 1. The only mods allowed are Infernal Robotics, visuals, and Info, but if the cylinder is too heavy for the stock rockets, use KW Rocketry or something similar for ORBIT ONLY 2. Remember that the black hole will destroy all but the 3 targets, don't land on Laythe and say you completed the challenge, as it will be destroyed. 3. The cylinder is allowed to be assembled in LKO 4. You can only set up shop at the 3 targets. 5. You can ferry the 50 kerbals to the cylinder in LKO 6. When you leave Kerbin, you're not coming back, so no gravity assists. 7. No refueling, Kerbin will be destroyed. 8. Have fun Achoo! (Pol) 1 2 3 Lonely Space Potato (Dres) 1 2 3 Meatball! (Moho) 1 2 3 Scoring by fastest colony set-up, which means from fully-assembled cylinder, to colony touchdown on one of three targets.
-
I chose Laythe, easy to land with enough parachutes, jet engines work, gravity relatable with Kerbin, water in 2 forms (ice caps at poles), and great views of Jool no matter if you play stock or with visual mods to the RAM limit.

So what you're getting at is that entropy is unusable energy?
-
But the Sun isn't gaining more entropy. It's a ball of hydrogen fusing helium.
