Day 3 is in the making. I drove off screen. I'll be sure to take a screenie of what I did off screen.
-
Day 2 is up on the OP!
-
I don't need struts. It hasn't wobbled once since the launch to bring it to Eeloo.
-
Thanks! I'm making rapid progress and I should drive pretty far today. The rover is insanely stable and reliable, and should not lose any MORE parts.
-
Being from Philadelphia, you guy's internet seems to be way faster then mine. 2 m/bs? I get 1 where I am. Or it may be the fact that I live in a city with 1.553 million people, but I doubt that's the case.

Kiwi, to be honest (me being pretty young compared to everyone else), this is a terrible idea. It would mainly cause discrimination. If I came on here and said, "I want a section for young people, like kids or teenagers,", then the reaction would come from the older people saying that it would split people up. Creating sections based on age would lead to many problems, and I don't want the mods to quit their jobs. It just won't work.

@IonStorm Happy Asteroid Day! Watch out for the Scientist's rocks! -
Add a HeatShield Nosecone
HoloYolo replied to OrbitalBuzzsaw's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Not trying to be smart here but it does say "Ad" and not "Add". By your title you could just mean create an Ad for this nose cone heat shield. Also, as others said above me, why not just turning the heat shield upside down? If it has too much drag then have a fairing around it and deploy the fairing when you need the shield? -
Thanks for sharing Kasper. Watch out for those Scientist's rocks!

Nice job dude! Going interplanetary always has a reward when you finally complete it, especially for the first time.

What is the most HORRIBLE way one of your kerbals died
HoloYolo replied to 322997am's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Alright Canadians, simmer down up there. Anyways, I have tried to built a space station, recently after I bought the game. The rocket launched. It made it into a VERY awkward orbit. I sent a man to dock to it (I had no idea how to dock or rendezvous). I fired my rocket at the station. I missed, and it sent him out to an Eve intercept. I thought "Hey, I'm going away from Kerbin! WOOHOO!". His trajectory went right through Eve. He hit the ground, and the last thing I saw was 666,666 as the height and a black screen. The sound of a poof echoed in the background before my game crashed. -
No offense to anyone buying this for ANY console, but this game is going to be a hell of a lot different than PC in terms of controls. I can only hope it isn't too different or hard.
-
Welcome! Glad to see people like you join. I hope you like it here. HA! @Starhawk Beaten again!
-
That's why it's all wheels and simple
-
1.1.3. The wide and low base makes it easier to survive impacts and the wheel suspensions help keep me off the ground if I get launched and about to crash.

Hmm what?

Ahh, yes. The classic drive around somewhere challenge. I have decided on Eeloo as my target. I have landed close to its Apoapsis, which means the sun is small and output is small. But, I brought 2 RTGs to generate power! This should be easy, and fast. A snowball sized like the Mun is an easy drive. Or is it really? DAY 1: Rough Driving We have landed on Eeloo. We have already driven 27km from the landing site. The rover is not it tiptop shape, but it still works. We are going to push on. Valentina will ace this drive! Day 2 is obviously tomorrow! Day 2: Not so small steps We have driven so far today! Both the landing site flag and the flag in the dirt are both gone. We have entered and driven out of an abyss. The rover has ended up on the dark side. Nothing has been lost. We will keep going. I might add another one today. MIGHT ;] I felt lazy so no titles or descriptions. You decide what happened today. Day 3 or 4 Part 1: Halfway Halfway! We have made the mark. Only another half and it's all over. It's not boring, it's just taking a while. Also, no titles or descriptions for these 45 pictures. Why part 1? Because there will probably be another part tonight. I have become obsessed with finishing this challenge. I can do this. Day 3 or 4 part 2: Game Over I did it. 210km driven. The snowball has been conquered. All I need to do is rescue her. I probably won't, to honor here. It's finally over. Here it is. 66 pictures with no titles or descriptions again.

Thanks to both of you. I'm trying out Eeloo as we speak. Haven't landed but already got the maneuver set.

Which is better to mine, Minmus, or the Mun
HoloYolo replied to Alpha 360's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Minmus is better overall because of low gravity and easy traveling. Mun is better location wise as it is closer and has no inclination. -
Anything that is efficient. Nukes, Ions, Terriers. As long as your craft is light all 3 engines work amazingly.

I've been wanting to do this challenge for a while, but I don't know where to do it. I want a scenic route, but I also don't want to do it on a big planet like Kerbin or Duna. Any ideas for a good Elcano challenge location?

45 minutes with nuclear engines.

So I was going to build a ship, and I noticed what I believe to be a massive (lol) issue. Two pods seem to be off balanced? I don't know if this was intentional but I'll post what I found. http://imgur.com/Bs8n2oi http://imgur.com/zZbJUvx http://imgur.com/JHjGZ6V Sorry for the pictures not showing up, but I just found this very weird. Do you personally think these parts are off balanced? EDIT: They are stacked on each other to show size comparison. By balancing I mean stat wise.

10. I sent a lot of manned missions to Ike, Dres, and Laythe. Ike because of the supposed Magic Boulder "return". Dres for the same reason, and Laythe because I got bored yesterday. Laythe was also the first mission that I ever used the inflatable heat shield to aerobrake
