A custom-made Orion interior has not been made yet. Its on the books for the future, though. Until then, the ASET IVA that was made for the stock Mk1-2 pod is being used because of its very nice RPM screens

Playing with Mun and Duna base ideas with Chaka Monkey Exploration System pack. His included rover is great, but not much space for KIS containers on the bed of that rover. I wanted to make a towable trailer to land at the base and use with it. I cannot get it to play nice with a KAS connection, docked or undocked plug-in, though. It just bumps the towing vehicle all over the place, or flips over. Its just a mess. The trailer doesn't slow down at the same rate as the towing vehicle. And I can't think of any other way to connect the two and still allow for manoeuvrability. Any ideas to make a trailer that will actually allow me to drive sanely and safely. I'd preferably like to avoid crawling all over the Mun at a snail's pace. Thanks!

I think, for the scope of this pack and your additions to it, basing the scaling on the Khleb is actually best, as you stated. Thanks for the answer!

Why is 2.5 too big? I was under the (perhaps incorrect) impression that the Apollo CSM scales almost perfectly to 2.5m diameter?

Just gonna leave this here SLS Block IB (Real life configuration) carrying Orion and Altair lander for Mun landing at Aldrin Base, while waiting for things to arrive in Duna orbit. Pretty basic CMES mission, but I like the shots and finally got a pretty clouds mod to work, even if the game is like a slideshow at times. Enjoy!

Just to raise some hype up, and to see what you guys have come up with, I want to see some screenshots of your Eyes Turned Skywards canon or inspired crafts and missions on this thread, while Mike keeps working on his models. I know G'th has some somewhere, and maybe others have attempted to use FASA or Tantares parts and the like to replicate vehicles from the ETS timeline. Mine will be up eventually!

What spaceport/launch site saw/is seeming the highest launch rate in history? I hear "missile row" at Canaveral Air Force Station was seeing a launch a month, during its "golden age". Despite knowing something about rocket history, I've not been able to find this fact on the Internet. Do we predict any current launch sites to see more use in the near future? Discuss!

If you have any interest in history, it's definitely worth a read. The guys that write this have put a lot of effort into fleshing out an alternate timeline that I would even buy, if I didn't know what actually occurred.

The models aren't ripped. The lisence is mentioned in our OP, as the same license mentioned in the wiki (Share-alike). No ripping, just using with proper attribution.

If you're in career mode, you'll need to earn money by doing contracts (the building to the left of the VAB assigns those). With enough money, you'll be able to upgrade the VAB for more parts, and the Launchpad for a higher take-off weight. Right click all buildings to learn more about them. If you want, you can also play sandbox mode and avoid all building restrictions too! -
I feel like KSP capsules are already way too long, though. Especially early game, where you're lugging materials bays into orbit with you, along with a tank that's of similar size to the MBay. Edit: Also 400th post. Wooooo! I've been here since 2012. I need to post more :I

I wouldn't say stock alike. I think we're definitely going for Mike's usual realistic style. But we can't really call it a replica, because ETS does not really exist. As stated, these are WIP models, and the end results are liable to be different, should Mike not be happy with what we have currently

MikeNZ and I are proud to present the Eyes Turned Skywards vehicle mod for KSP! hiddentexspace The logo could.... use some work MikeNZ, of the Space Shuttle Project fame, have been in talks to put give a mod idea that has been lacking on this forum a breath of life. I'm going to run a thread, manage suggestions and a tentative schedule and give general encouragement and Mike will do what he always does best, churn out great models like a KSP mod factory. We are very happy to release some of the vessels featured in the Eyes Turned Skywards alternate timeline, whose wiki is featured here! Our goals are to begin with the post lunar Apollo stuff, including Saturn Multibody, Saturn IC and all blocks of the Apollo and AARDV spacecraft, and then turn our attention elsewhere, including Vulkan and TKS, Space Station Freedom and the ETS Mir and the ETS return to the Moon. However, we hope to be flexible and change our approach should you guys have any better ideas. And now, some of Mike's development pictures! -----------o-----------o-----------o-----------o----------- ETS, and its combination of history and rocket stuff, is a particular interest of mine and I've been hoping to see a mod like this come up for a while. I hope you guys will get to enjoy this as much as I will, and hope your constructive advice on how to make this better is sent our way! You are bad. Though I definitely laughed I think I'm also a proponent of the 1.5m parts. But while Gemini is a cool vehicle and an early 2-Kerbal pod is really useful, I can't say I've used tantares's Gemini capsule before.

Have to agree with Mike there. The plan was always to give credit to the original creators of these models and ETS in general. And whether the models are high quality or not, any 3d model needs a lot of work to bring into the game scene

I haven't thought about it this way, and while I've always been a fan of the SLS in general, this makes a lot of sense for to explain this particular mission plan.

Can we see a pic of the TKS? As one of my favourite real-life vehicles, I'm eager to see it. With this pack, I suggested a release plan to Mike that basically entails releasing the various blocks of the Apollo spacecraft and the Saturn IB and V first, then finishing off the Apollo family with the AARDV and Saturn Multibody. But we shall see how we actually release things later on down the line.

Guess I never made a public announcement. I'll be helping Mike run an Eyes Turned Skywards mod. I don't claim any credit for any management skills or something like that. Just running the page and maybe doing some testing. Expect a thread soon, maybe when we have something deliverable!
