Aw, that's a real shame. HPR is a hobby I really enjoy, though I only really fly once or twice a year I get a real rush when I snap my neck back to see something I made streaking into the blue. Anyway, back to CMES! Any new treats to tempt us with, o Yanfret, our eternal tempter?

If you're referring to the model you made in the picture, the thing you made is a Transtage, another upper stage created for Titan rockets. Centaur upper stages were used on Titan as well, but the part with the exposed, conical tanks next to the engines is a Transtage: http://www.planet4589.org/space/misc/geo/transt.gif Hope I could be helpful and clear up some possible confusion!

Time for a change, something else bird-related. Thats the logo for my upcoming high power rocket I aim to build, which you can see in my sig.

LiquidHype's Real Scale Launch Vehicles (RETIRED)
Budgie replied to liquidhype's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
His stuff is readily compatible with RSS/RO because of their scale, but I think his main focus is rockets with their correct dimensions, but in the stock-scale KSP system. I may be wrong on that -
LiquidHype's Real Scale Launch Vehicles (RETIRED)
Budgie replied to liquidhype's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I'm pretty sure the existing ISS, the project led by Bobcat a few months ago, is in 64% of real life-scale. So LiquidHype's ATV would be huge compared to it. But its possible that someone rescaled the ISS mod to be real size (I seem to remember a RO module manager script makes at least most of the parts real scale, but could be wrong on that). -
I'd go as far as to say hypergolic or cold gas RCS is almost a requirement. For a thruster that ignites so many times in any given mission, unlike the long burns of the main propulsion system, you'd want it to ignite or provide thrust as reliably as possible. With hypergols and cold gas, there's thrust every time

That's in the pack! Its scaled for 75% of real life values, I think, and made of separate parts (not one specific piece).

So as you play, do you just take an incredible amount of screenshots in anticipation of making pages for this webcomic? I want to see your screenshots folder!

[1.7.2] KK Launchers - Delta, Atlas Pack
Budgie replied to Kartoffelkuchen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I think a Delta IV model has been made by Kart, and is awaiting texturing by another forum member. Not 100% sure on that, though -
I really like the multiple configurations idea. Ideally, I'd suggest that mod that lets you get rid of tanks you don't use completely, or make combinations. But in the interest of avoiding mod reliance, I would be happy with the option to switch from LFO and monoprop

IIRC, while NASA by law is not allowed to, in public, present plans to return to the moon, I'm sure in an office somewhere there are many plans and designs for vehicles to return to the moon, to be fully developed and integrated with SLS when/if funding comes in

I thought PPTS was being launched on Angara rockets?

I've been itching to play with at least the Saturn IC and the various Apollo Blocks

Its a lot to read, but start on the Media page on their wiki for a cool look at all the theoretical and imagined rockets and missions that fly in their timeline

Mike! Idea! Do you know the world of Eyes Turned Skywards? If you haven't, and want something to model, then here you go: http://wiki.alternatehistory.com/doku.php/timelines/eyes_turned_skyward

IIRC, the Agena's engine has its own fairing when a decoupled is placed below it. Then if you add two of the FASA fairings stacked on top of each other to the nodes on the service section, they should cover it. This is the non-RO version, so I don't know if the RO co figs remove that white short fairing piece I'm referring to

I think Mike loves the ideas that border on ridiculous, heh.

" After the external tank was filled with hydrogen fuel and oxidizer, NASA discovered that 32 panels of insulation on the tank had peeled off." http://history.nasa.gov/sts1/history.html I think the NASA site disagrees with you, Nansuchao. I hope I'm not being a bother, but engines are built to fly on one fuel combination, aren't they? It'd take a lot of changed injectors, plumbing and other equipment to change the type of fuel. Edit: Its highly advised to post your sources, huh? Sorry

I dunno. I'm no expert, but Budgie sounds like a good name to me. Maybe try translating some names into Russian, see what you like the sound of?
