  1. I love the way stock fairings are built, I can live with how they separate, but don't love it, but my least favorite part of the fairings is how they look. They don't match the stock art style at all.

  5. I don't need the force, I have pilot assistant: Flying at 20 meters above the waves, at 800m/s. At 15 meters, it crashed.

  7. As something of a replica builder myself, I have to say: I don't. Some of the stuff I replicate has dimensions, but since the Kerbol system is about .64 of real life, I just eyeball it from reference drawings. I also read up a bit on what I'm building, so I can understand what is inside it, and I can replicate it better.
  8. Yeah, it was a hairy "Landing". For hab, I used 6 mk2 crew cabins offsetted and rotated into a curve. Thanks for the stats, tomorrow I will add my stats. How are you deorbiting? I use a lfo RCS block.

  13. Well, from this video*, the DIPS is in both, but not the FSPS, which kind of makes sense, after all, you don't want to store RTG near the crew, but I don't know what the 2nd DIPS is for. Sorry about the lag, I was amazed at the difference between 600 and 400 parts. *At this point:
  14. Yes, my sub wants to destroy your tanks, too. Actually, my sub probably would lose in a fair fight, it's missles are poorly designed, and it's armor is nonexistent.
  15. I think they only go on the cargo lander. Can't wait to see your SPR, and yes, I did go for a pod-based SPR. The faces are there because the forums turn "[noparse][/noparse]" in to ":D", as in "Craft[noparse][/noparse]one" "Craft:Done". Also, you're so close to done! Congrats, I think you'll finish first!

  19. Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I'm working on cleaning it up, I'm of two minds about the cubic struts. First, they sort of look like the structure on it, and they add a bunch of parts, so if I hide them, I might as well use a more parts friendly solution. On the other hand, well... they add a lot of a parts, and don't look so great. As to the ramp, it is designed to clip through the DIPS, but I didn't unbind it from wasd, so it moved around a bunch. Part count: 621. Nasty, right? EDIT: For example, this test, with *just* 420 parts:
