  1. There are now 2 advanced grabbing units (aka "The Klaw!") at the rear of the rover.
  2. Elcano challenge, Kerbin, Land, stock craft (2482 kg empty, 6081 kg fueled) Day 0 - Preparations: http://imgur.com/a/oEjI3 Day 1 - Smooth start: http://imgur.com/a/VfiFI Day 2 - Solar eclipse: http://imgur.com/a/s1YF7 Day 3 - First problems: http://imgur.com/a/WM0fG I will update this post with imgur links to the expedition days and embed the albums in seperate posts. The current plan is to only drive at daytime and stop at sundown.
  3. That was a lot of fun, thanks for organizing this challenge. I decided to fly without assistance, not even SAS. The album below should be enough to earn the velocity badge? (Time is 56:06)
  4. Hahaha, this is hilarious! Took me some time to get it off the runway, and even more tries to get it to the island. Quickload is also out of the question with this craft, immediately disassembles itself if I try Very entertaining challenge, here is the documentation: http://imgur.com/a/vXHOV
  5. Wow, that launchpad is hard to destroy. But I found a weakpoint during my experiments (I even repeated to make sure it wasn't a fluke, it's reproducible with this craft). Anyway, here is my entry: http://imgur.com/a/PTDZX 2050 total, no nodes unlocked. Because there is no decoupler, this is 2 launches, with the appropriate solution for the obvious issue with that
  6. The top post has only 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 listed, is 1.0.5 OK as well? If so, I will try later today - I think I can do it a lot cheaper
  7. That's a nice (interesting) scenario. How does DMP handle this? Genuinely curious...
  8. Is that a new install or an update from 1.0? I think the mod key was wrong in 1.0 linux (I needed to change it to right shift), but in a 1.0.2 fresh install it was already correct.
  9. I really wonder why they removed the heating mechanic. Turn it down a bit, yes please. But removing it? Between this and the not-so-deadly reentry in 1.0.2, I don't see the point for thermo at all. Which is a pity, because it is a well thought-out and generally cool mechanic. I'd like to see it used more. Radiators would be nice, but I can work with solar panels for the time being.
  10. Huh? If so, in what way does docking mode differ from staging mode then? (Maybe I don't know, because I always docked in staging mode to have rotation and translation available. If that difference is gone, what's still different?)
