  1. I love these! 0.625m parts are in short supply - especially long monopart tanks and boosters, and this mod fits the niche perfectly. Where possible, please do consider making a 1.875m series of parts in order to bridge the mid-game gap between Size 1 and Size 2 parts. Should be pretty simple to do as similar aesthetics can be used.
  2. Thank you! I shall look forward to populating the planet with ark-ship filled with all the animal species Tempted to leave corrals of horses out on the plains, and hawks perched on the mountains
  3. lol! Cow! I like the way you made the 'horns' of the cow. I tried making spiral horns for the space sheep (the 25 ton Minmus base) but they looked odd, being a bit 2 dimensional made out of multiple offseted OX-STAT panels.
  4. The last image in the album made me lol! That glow, and the nuclear engine
  5. Did a quick 2 minute mod review for Kerbin-Side Kampus 1.1, released today.
  6. Here's something for your troubles - feel free to use it as the official review The speed bumps and signage really make a difference in the driving experience.
  7. @AlphaAsh - Another folder needs to be removed from Kampus 1.1, otherwise there will be duplicated buildings offset into each other. From the Kampus 1.1 package, remove Gamedata\KerbalKonstructs\ExportedInstances\KSCUpgrades
  8. www.youtube.com/baconspaceprogram Home of mighty roflcopters and other ridiculous things
  9. Hehehe, looks are deceptive when the legs are retracted. However... We can observe on the real sheep that the size 1 sheep head blends smoothly to the size 2 body and it has 4 legs @ Rthsom Wow those are some impressive creations! Especially that horse! It looks like an armored warhorse with all the angular panels and accessories. Would you have a craft file for those fine animals?
  10. Yes you could probably just remove the precoolers and engines and snap on a Mk2 bicoupler for extra oxidizer, which will come in very handy for accelerating past 2,000m/s on closed cycle mode. The precoolers were used as intakes, as early test craft with the "Tuna" fuselage didn't have the side intakes yet, while structural intakes alone didn't give enough intake area.
  11. After the top speed closed cycle test run it proceeded to circumnavigate Kerbin at an average speed of around 1,500m/s
  12. This craft was prepared in time for World Animal Day (Oct 4), and is featured in my special news report here Also in other news, an army of cloned electric sheep is poised to take over the Galaxy with fluffy wool and 8-bit baas. Render contributed by Ghostbuzzer7!
  13. Many thanks! I have added the Clone Electric Sheep Army to my World Animal Day special news report! Also I like how you made the 'eye' parts pure white which makes them look like stormtrooper helmets!
  14. October 4th is World Animal Day! In commemoration of this nature friendly day, I had previously over the past weeks deployed a strange contraption that looked somewhat like one of my little sheep toys. Called the Spacesheep, it's an orbital lab with extended-range wet fuel storage and self landing capabilities; its offset cockpit makes it look like either a very long dog, or a sheep. Forumer UpsilonAerospace replied to one of the SpaceSheep threads with a unique creation of his own - an actual space sheep intended for Dunatian ranchers to produce fine steel wool for dishwashing purposes. As I had not unlocked rover technology in my ultra hard, no rep, low funds Career mode, I thought to request for the craft file for future reference. Yesterday, in preparation for World Animal Day, I finally released an upgraded Lamb Rover with improved suspension and internal science payload but still very much based on UpsilonAerospace's unique original design. Forumer Ghostbuzzer7 also contributed this very cute render of a clone electric sheep army in Esinohio's render farm thread. It appears we are going baaaa-ck to the future! Lastly, BlackMetalDash has added his Pegasus to my YouTube channel's craft testing queue, so we will have flying ponies in no time! With increased interest in Dunatian exploratory missions and long-term planetary habitation, the Kerbin Mechanized Wildlife Exploitation Reserve would like you to construct and share more types of mechanical animals in order to seed the Galaxy with cuteness! That's all for today's special report on World Animal Day! Brought to you by the Church of Moar Booster! This is Kitten News Network signing off!
  15. I would VERY much like to try this soon! This seems like exactly what I'm hoping for in turbine simulation, and the need to provide space for compressors and intakes would add an interesting layer of detail to aircraft design. I also communicated with AdmiralTigerClaw above to illustrate that if these turbine simulation addons ever take off, then it would be plausible to try and simulate other types of engines as well - internal combustion engines, for one, could work by using intakeair to feed through a carburetor, and the resultant FuelAirMix being combusted in the cylinder head for torque. Torque is output from the engine out of the Crankshaft, and drivetrain is responsible for converting Torque into Horsepower which drives accessories and turns wheels. The fun thing about ICE modelling is that one can use the stock thermal model to simulate horsepower and engine reliability being limited by engine temperature; if the cylinder heads blow the engine ceases to work, necessitating design of a working air or liquid cooling system using stock parts. Different intake and carburetion options could increase power at the cost of heat, so hot rod builders could use this as technical challenge - extreme cylinder heat would flow to other parts, possibly causing them to fail as well. For turbines, the same kind of treatment can be added to the Combustor part of the engine to realistically simulate limited endurance with continuous max thrust settings; this could be countered by providing WaterInjection modules that add thrust and cool down the engine core until the water runs out; useful for large cargo aircraft and early generation heavy jet bombers. Those new parts look great! The Panther would be most welcome for mid-range performance and I think would produce enough thrust to act as a useful compact VTOL powerplant; albeit a deck-melting one!
  16. X-Com Skyranger VTOL Qualification [craft thread] Status: Aborted prior to Stage 7 (Admin Building Helipad landing) due to the following reasons: - - Critical fuel levels on return flight mandated abort to active runway due to flight safety concerns - Cruise engine exhaust impinges on horizontal stabilizers However, great fun proving a 40-ton cargo hauler can be made to hover and storm through the hangar on lift jets then pivot and do the same through the other hangar!
  17. Ah that's simple - just reduce the fuel load. I takeoff in STOVL config (nacelles 45 degrees) because the endurance in VTOL mode is really short. I may do a quad engine version next for more TWR and larger fuel load.
  18. Can you imagine the ending scene of Star Wars Episode 2 with the Clone Army embarking on Star Destroyers.... Except they're all electric sheep This could be their flag:
  19. I think you could workaround by creating a simple white cylinder with a grayish dot on the front with similar dimensions, insert into the respective areas of the 'face'. Most of the part is clipped into the reaction wheel and parachute anyway
  20. The craft file for the lambs: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/135784-For-Dunatian-Ranchers-LAMB-ROVER%21-Keep-well-oiled-to-produce-the-finest-Steel-Wool-in-the-Galaxy%21 Would love to see your results :3
  21. If anyone's doing a countryside scene (or a Dunatian ranch) feel free to add Lamb Rovers to brighten up the place with their electric sheep cuteness Actually what's the upper limit for number of parts in a render? Could do some extreme sheep herding scenes with hundreds of these!
  22. Hey, nice 3 wheeler van! My GF thought at first I was going to build the blue van from Mr. Bean, with a similar layout as yours. I wouldn't mind to get the craft file (if stock or near stock) and tinker with it. It looks like a wedge of cheese As for coolness of vans... Vans are eternally cool, just ask the KerbalWagen Type 2 Microbus, now with amphibious landing craft!
